Wisconsin Rustic Road #51 and Laura Ingalls Wilder Points Of Interest
Traveling North from Merrick State Park we pass through smaller cities including Alma and Pepin. Along the way we read historical markers and come across a couple points of interest to the Laura Ingalls Wilder fans. I thought we had been to these locations when my Niece was little because she became a fan having read the books, but I don't think we were at these locations before or they seemed different. My nephew and I had little interest at the time and we mainly played catch at these stops some odd 35 years ago. I'll be the first to admit I still didn't have a whole lot of interest, but we did stop. I did enjoy the TV series when I was young. Finally, we make it to Wisconsin Rustic Road #51 and it did not disappoint! Out of all the Rustic Roads we've been to so far this one is in the top 3 if not the most Rustic of the bunch!
