Thats awesome, however I don't see any links to the trails only merchandise??????????? I will buy you a beer if I meet you on the trails, which I'm still going to have to research. Trail head locations? Closest town? Wher to camp? A bit more info would be nice. Don't mean to be a downer, but Fuckin Minnestrota doesn't like 2 wheels as much as Sconny and I AM very frustrated trying to find places to actually ride without hassles
WI has millions of miles of logging roads with off shoot trails that connect each other. Fortunately for me, my home area is very void of cell reception and the lakes are too swampy to put a vacation rental house on so it keeps the FIB's and Milw/Madison yuppies with their $ away. The license plate lets u get away from UTV's and the problems they bring also. Keeping my KLX but now that I seen the new XR650L in the retro white/black Im gonna pick one up for this fall.
Ride the Perkinstown trail west of Medford. Open to OHM's and dual sport. Honestly, WI needs to change their approach to OHM's. We're pathetic compared to other states.
Wow, never have rode trails and looking for good beginner trails. I have small bike CRF300 L Rally...Im 61 and anybody have a good idea to get started on easy trails in SW Wisconsin...any help would be appreciated.
Ben, as a fellow Wisconsinite, I am happy to have trail available from Appleton. Are any of these trails seen on Gaia, trailx or other such apps? I would love to find an app or device (Garmin Zumo) to explore and see what’s out there both near me and far away (different states and countries). Thank you!
So excited.. my new Pan American almost had 400 miles on it before the computer crapped out and it had to go back to Harley for a couple weeks… Harley did let me borrow a different one until the figure it out… meanwhile my KLR has 17,000 miles.. just tires.. chain & sprocket change .. and the doo.. not an exciting bike.. but better then sitting in the shop
Great video as always .. Will be spending 4 days in August in north central Wisconsin … Any good day rides.. Will be camping entire trip .. T7,800xc , and KLR looking for full day rides on trails and just good roads..
All the great trails are north and west, SE Wisconsin is a bummer. At least I have a good idea how far to go now. Keep up the content. Chapers and location lists would be appreciated in the next video.
Love your stuff man I’m in east central MN and we have very few options around. Just bought a WI annual pass and hope to get out to a couple of these on my 21’ DRZ
Thanks! Yeah the Clark county trails and black river falls should both be good options. I think there are a few sports north of there too. Perkinstown in the national forest is neat too, but pretty easy going with lots of flat trails.
Langlade “The County of Trails”. Also blessed to be fun ride to our dual sport friendly in Lincoln and the related superb Harrison Hills. Ben don’t loose site of Forest County and the self proclaimed “Dual Sport Capital” of Wabeno. Looking forward to meeting you out there and if you need anything, we are in Elcho. Also slip over to the Perkinstown WI area for giggles.
@@matthaiduk lol right and the snowmobile season … no good despite great parking, groceries, gas station and restaurants. Your right! Folks, move along nothing to see here. Whew that was close..
Haha yeah in a few spots. Down in the south west part of the state it's actually really hilly in some spots. Yeah the fall colors always make for cool footage!
Hey Ben, can i ask a dumb question. I’m relatively new to this ADV riding scene and bought a 23 klr after watching every single one of your videos. What GPS system do you recommend? I would love to have one that supports the trails also. Not an abundance of awesome riding here in southern Indiana.
Hey, I'm glad to hear the videos were helpful! I've actually got used Garmin Nuvi units on all my bikes. You can usually find one on eBay that looks like it's in good shape for under $40. They aren't waterproof or anything and you need some sort of shock/vibration absorbing mount, but the way I look at it, worst case your only out $40 if anything happens. I'm not sure if VVMapping has any of the trails by you but they do have at least 3 or 4 other states now, so maybe they will some day? But all you need to do is stick their SD card in the gps and you get all the trails and public land info.
I've been looking for more info on central Wisconsin stuff. I'm in Point. I know a lot around Lacrosse, but haven't had an ADV bike in several years, and only really checked out Dryacuse up here.
