Saint Sava the Sanctified was born in Caesarea, Cappadocia in the year 439 AD to pious and God-fearing parents. At the age of eight Saint Sava joined the monastic life, and at seventeen years old he was tonsured a monk. Later on in his life, Saint Sava moves to the Holy Land, where he would spend the rest of his days in prayer, and where he would go on to build many monasteries. Saint Sava pray for us!
