The Wise Adamascus AD8 is hands down the best value in the $400-$800 range. A dressy dive watch, the AD8 will wow the most discerning watch enthusiast. For me, a practical user and collector, it hits all the marks for size, fitment, finish, accuracy, and legibility/lume. There is one issue, me. I'm over cautious about wearing this watch because its such a great value, design, and execution. What do you think?

Nice review Tim. The Wise brand is on my radar. You did a review on the Lorier Hydra Zulu different watch than this but two great micro brands. Which of those would you recommend over the other. Curious Thanks, Kim

Wise. They just came out with a GMT that is on par with the AD8. The Hitman is another solid watch and lower cost. Lorier makes a great Explorer and Hyperion. I think Wise adds a little more flair to their designs whereas Lorier is a classical mashup style. I prefer Wise.

I have the brown one it’s my favorite watch material and quality and finish is that of a 1500 $ watch or more in my opinion you can’t get 904L for under 2000 even .ps I love the miyota 9015 and my watch guy says it’s the best movement for the money says they seem to run like tops and expects them to last over 10 years easy without a service and even when you do jus replace the movement …

The AD8 is my favorite dress/sport watch. I agree wholeheartedly on the 9000 series movements from Miyota...they are excellent movements.

Unfortunately I have Wise Adamascus AD8 AD830A and I wore in 2m of water at Beach and crown failed (even though screwed all way down). It now has condensation on dial and mechanism has suffered moisture damage. I emailed Wise support to inform them of issue and they requested an image of crown to establish if anything was wrong. I told them it wil require a pressure test, however they recommended this wasn't require as all watches go through stringent cross checks before leaving factory. I'm know spending good money after bad money to rectify watch. Steer clear of Wise Time Piece watches as they all all glitzy with no substances!

Frustrating that water got inside the case. That's the first time I've heard of it. I hope it gets resolved. However, 'steering clear of Wise' is an overgeneralization for a sample size of one...as far as I'm aware. Best wishes!
