For those wondering what the song is: Original song: Kino - Gruppa Krovi Performed by: Baltic Symphony Orchestra and choir at "Lendok" studio The cover that you hear was recorded specifically for War Thunder and timed to coincide with the double anniversary of the band "Kino" (40 years) and Viktor Tsoi (60 years).

Now imagine if we got more dynamic, cinematic missions in game, would be a much needed refresher

SU-25 has always been one of my all-time favourite aircraft, just because of it's looks and I love strike aircraft

This is one of the best ones so far, up there with "victory is ours" there are actual characters, there's a story, something tragic happens. It makes me very very excited even tho I know I won't be able to play through vehicle in this trailer for a long time lmao Edit: one other note I forgot too mention, loved the music, fit the trailer and the atmosphere.

What Rook 1 known as Sergei really did something seriously worth medal of honor going above and beyond taking risks saving his team and city.

The first half of the trailer was stunning. I loved how there was an ominous tone but yet somehow all the vehicles had an odd beauty to them. The second half reminded me of Ace Combat/ Top Gun and that's a good thing :D

I am always so impressed with these trailers, I adore the presentation and how it's all captured in game. If theres one thing gaijin consistantly gets right its the presentation of the game. Never have I been once disappointed by these trailers. I do wonder if we could get a full post of this rendition of Gruppa Krovi. Such a phenomenal song.

This is the first war thunder trailer I have ever seen, and man it makes me honestly feel so much emotion and I love it. Granted the emotion is sadness, but I love it because it made me feel such a strong emotion, and the music only adds to it. The music adds so much more to the emotion I’m feeling.

With the song available now i just wanted to revisit this again, i really hope they make more of these story trailers.

I honestly love all these cinematics the War Thunder devs do. They all have a story and make you feel like you're watching a movie

I didn't expect to used a really great song from Kino to make a banger of trailer, PLEASE GIVE A GUY OR TEAM WHO MADE THIS TRAILER A RAISE!! THEY DESERVED IT!!

one of the MiG-21 pilots I know in real life had lost a squad mate who did pretty much what Rook-1 did in this trailer. He said there's a saying to "never turn back on a target" but I guess his squad mate wanted to "save face" (in embarrassment for missing his target) but got shot down by the SAM site. He wasn't heard from ever again. EDIT: since people are asking, his home base was zeljava airbase which had nuclear proof hangars built into the side of a mountain. Flew a variant later than the F (he complained about it being plagued with issues, and he was unfamiliar with the cockpit layout of it) and left before he got a chance to fly the bis variant, ~70s to late 80s. He also had other interesting stories like for example they never used brakes because it was cheaper to pay some women in some village to knit a new parachute than to replace the brakes.

That Gruppa Krovi version is mindblowing and i am so happy you guys used it for a trailer. 10/10 certified Kino

Probably the best teaser trailer you guys ever made. Certainly up there with the best of them. Nice use of story telling and the Russo-Afgan war is a nice touch.

The fact there's a story to this is so unreal this and the graphics bringing it to life is even more interesting and the song giving that goosebumps feeling is unreal. This has to be one of the best military based games in history I've ever witnessed. Very well done Gagjian.

Kino is a great post soviet afghan war, loved his music. Glad you guys put it in, means a lot to vets of the war. Although I was US military, I have great respect for others who served their country. You outdone yourself on this update teaser Gaijin, good work.

I would absolutely love Gaijin to start making in game full length movies or series; they could easily make content based on all past conflicts using their assets, WW2, Vietnam, the Cold War, Afghanistan & Iraq, or even create their own scenarios from the nations, imagine a series where the US decides that it wants more territory so decides to try and take Canada which forces UK and it's territories to declare war on the US with the support from other European nations like France and Germany. Or they could go another route and make documentaries recounting peoples experiences during past conflicts before those stories get lost in time, as their not as big or impressive to be covered on the big screen. Another feature I would love from Gaijin is for an in-game museum. They could travel to Military museums around the world capturing 3D scans internally and externally of aircraft and tanks so that these amazing pieces of history are available to a much wider audience. Like I would love to travel the world and look at them myself but that will be impossible to see them all.

This trailer make me realise we need more pilot reactions. The heavy breathing during high G evasive maneuvers like in the trailer would give the game more of the feels, you know.

Now we have both A-10 and Su-25 + actual drones in game, it's great. The only thing left is adding some infantry AI squads here and there and WT is packed.

6 years waiting for the su-25 and I'm finally going to enjoy it

Wow.. i need that version of the song. (Originalsong: Kino - Blood Type) I would love to have a full fledged movie done like this... i can understand that from a teaser perspective it might be underwhelming for some people, but from a artistic point of view its just incredible. I like this new format of "Teaser / Trailer" far more, as its something to come back, even after 1-2 years - we will know thich vehicles are coming in a short period of time anyway.

That Gruppa Krovi remix is incredibly beautiful! Gives me a lot of nostalgic GTA IV vibes. I'm more of a DCS player, but i'm considering grabbing WT just to see if i can get my hands on a Frogfoot.

Well done, Gaijin, you may mess up the game to the point of it being unplayable, but when it comes to making teaser you're still the Boss!!! Also, WHEN are you FINALLY gonna give USSR some BR 9.0-9.3 SAMs??? Will they be last ones like it was with AGMs? BRDM2 Strela was THE most widespread mobile SAM complex in the world.

I've said it before, and one more... While I've had disagreements with things their company does with the game, their trailers have certainly improved and their marketing team does great work.

This trailer is one of the most amazing and hyped pieces of content in modern gaming in the last half decade.
