There’s nothing wrong with a good love story but even if Disney had been totally adamant about not wanting one, they literally could’ve just made them friends. They have such a cute chemistry in this scene
You know disney f'd up when a 2 minute deleted scene had more disney magic and flair than the entire movie Also star is hilarious, he and asha actually have a good dynamic
So true omg. Its so sad see so much potential be downed to the final result we got only because the disney executives wanted to assure it was merchable as possible for kids and gain money of plushies and not a good movie....
@@SpiderkillersIncOh my gosh, you're right! They just gave Asha Star's personality, his voice to Valentino, stripped him of shapeshifting powers, and left nothing but a plushie...
This is literally everything Wish should have been. Amaya and Magnifico as a campy, villainous power couple, with Star as the comedic foil to the down-to-earth leading lady, Asha, who also serves as her romantic interest.
NGL, I was honestly excited for a grey Disney antagonist, someone who had a point but became warped because of trauma. It would've been something new for Disney rather than a twist villain or 100% evil antagonist.
@PerseusToons Absolutely! That sounds like a much more interesting dynamic for the characters, especially when you think about the concept. Asha, Star and Valentino are the good side of magic, while Amaya, Magnifico and the Cat were like the darker, twisted version of the trio. It was such a genius parallel!
@@OpticalSorcererIt would've been great! But Magnifico in the film wasn't getting it. He had all the things he needed to be one, but the way the movie executed him and his scenes just made him unbearable even when he had a point.
I actually audibly exclaimed “NO!” When the clip ended! I was actually invested and engaged! I would watch this whole movie even if was just voiced over story boards.
Ok, but how can just this snippet of a deleted scene be COMPLETELY better than the whole movie we got?!!!! Even the cliché jokes made me laugh more, Disney wasted a perfectly good movie here!!!
She’s clearly witty, smart, and ambitious. More of a Moana than a Rapunzel (love Raps tho). I also think she should have been a bit of a romantic to distinguish her from Tiana more who was all practical, no-nonsense and not open to love at first. I’m fine with the quirky adorkable princess, but I think this dynamic works a lot better for her.
@@LuisaNDiaz Even in Miraculous Ladybug The Movie, Marinette & Adrien had a romantic dance despite that Ladybug declined it as she said she had someone else which is sad for Chat Noir.
@@prettybabyyeji7413 yes. I get the joke of wanting to pull the opposite of what was expected, which does work if done right, but this just...this just didn't...
How can they be so stupid? This is way better than the film we had. The humor is better, the characters are better, the action and camera movente are better. Plus we have a love interest. I just want some hacker to steal the entire storyboard now!
Also the lil Disney references they have in this scene alone is better than anything in the movie. Olaf and the Squirrel from either sleeping beauty or the Stone and the Sword! Magical
@@mooniegoodie I know, but how is a shapeshifter too powerful? And Asha solving things by herself sends the message to not ask others for help, which is a terrible one.
Honestly Valentino would’ve worked so much better as a classical Disney animal sidekick who didn’t talk and occasionally got into comedic scenarios, like Abu from Aladdin, the raccoon from Pocahontas or Pascal from Tangled, instead of… well, whatever the abomination we got in the finished product was
Almost criminal how they abandoned this storyline. For starters, we have an amazing couple dynamic between Asha and Starboy. Amaya giving off more warrior vibes by leading the troops herself-in my opinion, that is just awesome🤩! Lynx being the sinister cat that he is, can’t resist a ball of yarn which is ADORABLE!!! HOW AND WHY DID THIS ENTIRE CONCEPT GET REJECTED????
I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!! I love Villain Amaya more than the regular version, and HER CAT WAS HILARIOUS!!! 😂😂😂 I'm pushing for us to get the original storyboards released! #ReleaseWishDirectorsCut
I still can't believe they got rid of this concept of Star being a human-like character for something more marketable. I would have loved to see the original concept come to light instead of the AI-feeling story and basic unfinished-looking Disney film we got.
I so agree! I still would've loved the 2D animation, but the idea they had of blending styles look beautiful in the test demo, but it's nothing like what the final movie brought and it's so frustrating!
Apparently the reason they didn’t do the movie in 2D animation is because they didn’t have enough staff to make, since they’d let go of most of their 2D animation department 😤
This further confirms Disney loves money, because this scene right here is proof that this movie would've been better off as a TRADITIONAL DISNEY STORY. No one is telling me that the final product is good because it honestly isn't.
This feels like something out of Tangled! How could they get rid of such a well-written chase theme? Furthermore, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TALENTED WRITERS WHO MADE THIS?..
I totally agree, I got Tangled vibes too! 😁😁 They claimed Star was too powerful (even though Magnifico was too powerful in the final film) and too similar to the Genie, which really isn't much of a case here... I'm not sure if the same writers are still working there, if something happened because of the strike. I do know a few worker's left, but that's it.
@@RascalEntertainments I’m so sad this wasn’t part of the final product. This was amazing. Star felt so much more alive. Asha was so much more likeable. Thank you for sharing this ☺️
@@gaspartiznado6418You're absolutely welcome! I hope this inspires people to create their own animations, or even find storyboards that are still from the original movie!
@RascalEntertainments I would say the one problem is it does give StarBoy a Lot of similar power and versatility as demigod Maui, so it might feel a little repetitive of a power move. Though I do love the storyboarding, it's definitely 10x better than how the film came out
This movie could have had EVERYTHING from the old disney classics: a strong lead, adventure, magic, cool villains AND a good love story ON TOP OF THAT. It would have been such a celebration of the old fairytale recipe. I am SO MAD at what we missed!
This entire scene is ACTUALLY what Disney should have been as a whole! Creative, hilarious, witty, charming, presenting real danger, compelling characters, fluid animation, WHY HAS THIS DIED!?
See, that still doesn’t make sense because she still didn’t really save the day anyway, it was still star. She basically just did talk no Jitsu. Not to mention they saw how well Moana did. Why the hell would that be the reason? This could’ve been a mixture of tangled and Moana, and would’ve been beautiful.
While I may have liked Star in the final version, I gotta admit I enjoyed the Starboy's personality and shapeshifting powers here. The character presented so much energy in this deleted scene that it made me want to see more of this incarnation. Same goes the evil version of the queen and her cat.
I TOTALLY AGREE! Even better, there was an idea to use both the Plushie version of Star, along with his human and shapeshifting powers, so he had different forms, so they could've left it in!
Holy crap. This felt SO Disney. The tension, humour, every character bouncing off each other, the dramatic music. This is SO GOOD! I'm not even exaggerating, I want to watch THIS film
Honestly if we got this draft, it woulda skyrocketed to one of my favorite Disney movies of all time. I thought I hated Wish before, but now that I know what it was supposed to be, I hate it even more because I know they robbed us of something amazing
Ok this is actually incredible. A proper intense chase scene, fun visuals and dialogue, the yarn ball gag making properly laugh. Desperately wish we had starboy
Why couldn't we get this! I mean, the part where Starboy turns into Olaf for a second was a bit weird and much, but outside of that, this short deleted scene is already better then the entirety of the Wish we got. This movie desperately needs the Snyder Cut treatment.
I COMPLETELY AGREE!! It needs a Snyder Cut and justice! #ReleaseWishDirectorsCut Also, the reason why he change into Olaf was because Star was going to shapeshift into different Disney characters throughout the film, serving as a living Easter Egg for the films. THAT SOUNDED BRILLIANT
it’s like the Easter egg in Moana when Maui is shapeshifting through different animals and turns into the reindeer from Frozen for one frame Man i really wish this was the actual movie it has so much more personality than what we ended up with
it would make sense for disney to stick in as many cameos, easter eggs, and references as they can since wish is supposed to celebrate disney's 100th anniversary
@@RascalEntertainments It would be more than just a director's cut. The entire movie would have to be redone almost from scratch. Sure, they have some material, but nothing usable animated, and they'd have to certainly recall voice actors and animators just to begin to put the right movie together again.
Omg this deleted scene just made me realize how perfect this movie could’ve been if starboy was actually put in as a character and Valentino would’ve been the most adorable silent sidekick ever 😭 😭
And if they wanted Amaya to be reformed she could’ve started of like this and later learn her lesson. Or maybe she could’ve stayed as the actual villain if Magnifico notices what he was doing wrong. Either one would’ve made the story so much better
Remember in ducktails when Dewey finds out that his name could’ve been turbo and he’s just sitting there yelling “my name could’ve been turbo?!?” that’s how I feel.
Having read the description I think I could almost cry knowing now that they already had such a vibrant story so abundant with characters all around and then they decided to simply scrap all of it?!?! The people deserve their excitable pixie star boy
I was smiling almost the whole time. The charm is there, the fun is there, the magic, the cute humor, the dynamics, EVERYTHING is there. It's so perfect. I love it, I love it, I love it. Which makes what we got make even less sense. I just don't understand. I don't understand this not being the final movie. I can't understand. I can't comprehend it. It doesn't make sense, man. It doesn't make sense.
I need to know every single person involved in the original concepts for Wish. The artists, designers, creative team. Everyone. Because not only do they deserve our eternal thanks for making something so wonderful, they also deserve Disney's eternal apology. I feel bad for them and they deserve better.
This looks so fun! The Starboy had an actual personality instead of "cute blob to sell merch" And the queen being a villain as well with an evil animal sidekick was so good and screams Disney classic!
Apparently they thought he would be to powerful.....and then Magnifico became too powerful in the final version, so I don't know what the point was anymore.
Whoever meddled with this must be high on something, this is the type of strong woman and funny weak man I actually wanted to see in movies. I was entertained and laughing throughout this entire scene.
Asha’s personality here actually fits her character design! And Star’s personality is a perfect foil and bounces off of hers so well! Ughhh the chemistry! WHY DISNEY WHY!??
This literally looks SO FUN!! The way Star shapeshifts giving something comedic and even having a small reference in the middle of it just makes it so enjoyable! Even when the queen showed up gave it some extra flair. Just from the scene alone, it shows her power and intimidation as a villain to achieve the goal set in the story. And even Asha and the goat have some fun bits. Like Asha showing capability in thinking smart and quick on her feet, especially when she was thought to be surrounded. Her chemistry with Star from this scene is also great with how slightly sassy she is to his silliness. And, even surprisingly, the goat and Star work well together as well. But god damn, this is what we could've had! I'm so upset by Disney thinking it all needed to be changed. The concept was already perfect as is...
I agree on every single point! Especially with the Queen and her Lynx showing up! She showed she was an intimidating figure while her cat flashed his claws, trying to be a threat too! 😂
I’ve never felt so nostalgic since that scene with Flynn Rider and the horse on the edge of the cliff in tangled Disney clearly has new motives over the previous ones ✨MONEY✨
The only problem is the final version didn't even make money lol. I like the final version too, but I know it could have been better. Seems like cooperate meddling.
That was so fun! The evil cat, the goofy chase scene, shape-shifting shenanigans, Asha and Star's chemistry, Amaya as an evil queen - it felt so classic Disney! The more I see of what was cut, the more I can't understand the decision to go with the movie we got as the final. If I could have one wish, it would be for them to go back and do the movie all over again.
This scene. This scene alone took me and brought me back to the moments of my childhood watching Disney movies. The music. The way Asha and Star talk and wow the queen felt like a proper evil queen. This is magic. Disney magic.
They literally had the Disney spark re kindling while making this, a true love of Disney movies! And they threw it all away....it's kind of sad, cause it deserved much better than this!
I haven't watched Wish, but I've seen a lot of reviews to get an idea of what the movie is actually about. However, this is the first time I came across with one of its original concepts. And I have to say; this is so much fun!!!! It reminds me the persecution scenes in Tangled.
I totally agree! This entire scene was full of Disney references without the cringe of just being obvious or telling you! Our nostalgic brains could figure out every single reference and made it fun!!!
Star is so upbeat and spontaneous! It would’ve made the angsty scenes at the end so beautifully heartbreaking… OH MAN WE WERE ROBBED OF SUCH A GOOD STORY AND ROMANCE 😭
THIS feels like a 100 year anniversary celebration movie by Disney. The scene really shows how we were robbed of a really good story and I think Star having a voice and shapeshifting is perfect. It also lends more to how I really wanted a love story in a Disney movie. Last one we got was Anna and Christoph and I miss something like that 🥺
Wow. For a deleted scene this is amazing! Who ever voiced Star and Asha did an amazing job! Even the Queen was incredibly intimidating! I love the humor and even the quick reference to Olaf.
I am really the only person that thinks that Disney at this point is trying to piss us off on purpose by taking out good scenes and concepts like this that shows us more of the character’s personalities to put in BS scenes like Asha being quirky for no reason and the star and goat causing chaos in the forest? Because they know they could do better but choose not to because they feel that “Bad Disney” will still make money every time? I seriously don’t know how you could fuck up this badly for a movie that’s supposed to pay homage to all the other Disney movies of the past. Wish had the potential to be great, and this deleted scene right here proves it! I seriously “wish” that Disney would pull their head out of their asses and just start making good, original stories and/or adaptations again. At this point though, I doubt it’s gonna happen anytime soon. SMDH
I couldn't agree more! This would've been a peak Disney movie like Puss in Boots The Last Wish l, and become a global phenomenon! One day, this movie is going to get the justice it deserves!
I loved this deleted scene!! How could Disney believe that Asha couldn't look brave like that? That is, it would be like in the movie Aladin: Aladin (Asha), Abu (Valentino) and Genius (Star). I loved Star's personality and how he madly changed shapes. Queen Amaya and her cat Lynx seemed like a clear reference to Cinderella's stepmother, I would have liked to see it. I can't get enough of seeing this!
Now that’s an interesting comparison considering that Franka Bratelic as Naomi Scott’s Jasmine is Asha in Croatian 🇭🇷 while Peter Jöback as 90s Aladdin is Magnifico in Swedish 🇸🇪
this makes me so sad, i love asha and the stars dynamic its so cute and wholesome!! Star is so goofy and asha serious. I love those dynamics i am so mad at disney rn!!!!
There was so much good stuff taken out of this movie that I'm convinced the whole thing was sabotaged by the higher ups on purpose to prove a point about nobody wanting to see original movies anymore (even though we just don't want to see BAD movies, original or not) so that they could go full-steam ahead with sequels galore (Moana 2, Zootopia 2, Frozens 3 & 4, etc.).
1) how is this not more viral. I am losing my entire godamn mind. 2) This little clip was more fun and had more personality than the ENTIRE FINISHED FILM. IM SO ANGRY.
I feel ya! 😂 I WISH they would either remake the movie with this concept, or hell even release the official storyboard movie! Also, I HAVE WATCHED THIS SO MANY TIMES!!
Such a tragedy that this isn’t the movie we got. Only two minutes and we get more incentive to care about, and personality from the characters. This scene is so excellently storyboarded! Super engaging and such creative angles and use of characters.
DAMNN NOW THIS IS GOOD, not the one we got 😭😭😭 i'd do anything for u guys to start over and pretend that the wish we got never happened, would love to see more deleted content
Or if they don’t want to totally eliminate the original, they could release this version of the movie, then make a sequel for BOTH films where they connect via parallel universe or something!
Why this is so much fun than the final movie!! I mean the star character’s is perfect😢 How can you thrown this concept away? What wrong with u Disney!!
They way you can read the description and want THAT movie truly shows how much Disney cares for true creativity anymore. Like bruh how many sequels does a company need to make another original premise.
dude wtf?!?! This is so good! WHY THE HELL DID DISNEY MESSED THIS MASTERPIECE UP AGAIN?!?!? This scene had more life than the movie itself....and also Asha's personality? Her and star's dynamic? IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! DISNEY YOU BETTER DO A RETAKE FOR THIS MOVIE!
Because they are a company run by business men, not by writers and artists. Men who know nothing about art and how audiences interact with creations, especially OVER TIME (think of all those “cult classics” for example) and depend solely on numbers to analyze what they think will and won’t sell. Men (I guess I should say people but we know it’s majority men) who don’t see the value in adding something important to our culture, and only see financial earnings as rewarding. And they also refuse to take risks. But when you try to please everybody (so you can make the most money) you end up with something so bland that it pleases nobody, and makes less money in the long run.
*Watson* - "Your boys have done a magnificent job of bliss, erasing any potential quality from this movie." *Holmes* - "Yes, but at least they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity".
this is so much better than the original film, someone’s gotta start a petition for disney to release the entirety of the original storyboards cuz i wanna see more of this
