I have been a devoted Pink Floyd fan for years. Recently someone asked me for some help with Wish You Were Here--so here it is.
By the way, that's a touch of Pink Floyd's "Fearless" at the beginning.

i sat with my 6 month old grandson while i play this song over oand over and it calms him down every time im going to learn this on the mandolin befor im dead....lol

Howdy! Regarding gigs, Gordon and I are playing from 12:30P to 1:30P today in downtown Nashville at the Christian Church on the drag for a benefit/CD release for Brown County Musicians Against Poverty. We submitted two of Gordon's original songs to the project. Good stuff. On Sunday we're at our old haunt the Crazy Horse Pub in Bloomington 8P to 10P. We're there about every 4 weeks.

still working on this song was almost thear and riped tendons in a couple fingers one in a splint for 8 weeks just started to hit the pinky streches I have a gibson 1920 A-1

I was listening to this song played live by Pink Floyd and wanted to learn to play it on my mandolin. I googled for it and came up with your tab and link to this video. I opened the video in the background and it somehow started in exact unison with PF. You fit in so well that I didn't notice when the original ended and you kept going. It's not that you sounded exactly like Pink Floyd, but that your recording is sufficiently true to the sound and spirit that the segue was very smooth.

I would be interesting in learning the chords/notes you use. I am a mandolin player in southern maryland, and as a deaf individual love pink floyd. (yep.. read right.. am deaf and play mandolin). I was trying to find the chords to Fearless, and found your video.

Currently in the midst of finishing up a solo album. Have about 80% of the material (that just needs mixing) and need to write a few more tunes. Probably will be out early next year.

There is a phasing/flange quality to your tone. Is that an added effect, or am I hearing the phasing between slightly out of tune strings? It is very cool, either way, and it works very well with this song
