Holy SHIT. Girl can sing! Incredible performance, best arrangement of this song I’ve heard. Rose Royce is completely underrated. Fantastic voice, fantastic band.❤❤❤❤❤
CATS ON THE horns Killing It ..Sista this song in the 70,s ..your Voice is still Amazing, Rose Royce classic group..along with HEATWAVE..both groups have a Library of music that ROCK..
🎩 when I was 19 in the Navy Overseas my wife was pregnant with our daughter and I couldn't be there. That's why this song hits SO deep to my heart. Its a fantastic, ABSOLUTLY, beautiful arrangement.
She’s not the original lead vocalist. The original was I think was Rose Norwood or Gwen Griffey or something like that. Producer was the Legendary songwriter & producer “Norman Whitfield” one of the greats RIP….

Listen to the lyrics of a beautiful young lady wishing thinking about the ones that has passed on and some at some point in life I truly believe that we cross each other I believe that some destination when someone goes before you give me them again on the other side and if we don't need to start here early we meet at
@@jjssnb3790 yes she sounds wonderful but you can tell that song wasn’t Taylor made for her. Everything isn’t for everybody as it goes. So, therefore she soun ds off key to me & the background vocals keep riding on top of her chorus vocal notes compared to the original singer. Go to RU-vid and look for the original Rose Royce “wishing on a star” then you will understand what I mean.

Hugely under rated performer Never had the breaks Vocal range incredible Video 20 feet from Stardom has a superb piece sbout her. Backing singer on Gimme Shelter with thr Stones Terrific
I remember seeing her sang this at the JERSEY MEADOWSLANDS IN AUG OF 79 with. Chic. Rick James. & Stephanie Mills. FRANKIE Beverly & Maze On that TICKET I meant to say rose Royce as matter of she just sprained her ankle the week before like she told the audience the show must go on
I hate hearing about shows that I missed. They used to have live shows at Wingate Park in Brooklyn until the usual (gunplay, fights) anyway The shows were on Monday nights and one day I'm in the office reading the newspaper to find out Cameo, Slave & the Ohio players had performed the night before. That was over 30 years ago and I'm still hurt thinking about it.
Y'ALL BUGGIN, THAT'S NOT THE ORIGINAL VOICE TO THIS SONG. GWEN DICKEY IS THE ORIGINAL SINGER TO THIS SONG, SHE THIS LISA TAYLOR DON'T COME CLOSE, SHE'S GOOD BUT SHE AIN'T ON DICKEY'S LEVEL! TALKING LIKE SHE'S THE ORIGINAL SINGER! STAND IN AND THAT'S ALL! HERE IS THE ORIGINAL VERSION: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GooJBO4KWlE.html
