I'd install magnets in the critter's feet... or at least drill holes in the feet that can be pegged to the base. This is also why I don't throw away ALL my kit-runners. Even the sprues make excellent kitbash-fodder. But that paintjob? HOLY FISH-PASTE, that must have taken... well, a while. Well beyond MY pay-grade, that's for sure.
@@MMMayhem Still, you should be PROUD of that hand-painted filigree. Like I said... above my paygrade. Then again, I make Figma and 30 Minute Sisters/Gunpla kitbashes. Currently working on "Karen 3," a "Mad Scientist" cutie based on human versions of Plankton's computer-wife from "SpongeBob."
Hello people and thanks for clicking on my video; what do you think of the new techniques I tried out this time? Also, make sure to check out www.youtube.com/@bradgloverkitbash9803 and www.youtube.com/@SugarCandyMiniatures for more fancy freehanding!
Always an utter joy to catch your longform build vids Caught a bit of the freehanding in your stream, definitely built the hype to see this chonk in finished form. Fantastic work this time around!
i would have gotten two of the turtule mechs and ise the lower shins a forarms to make it look a bit more mass / stronger . the arms seem a bit small and so do the hands but i like the out come of you bash . please keep making more ?
I'd just starting thinking about how to combine these two chonkasaurs! So, bonus points for thinking my thoughts before I thought to think my thoughts. 😆😆 And great job on free-handing that filigree, that's not easy to do. Especially making it as nice as you did!
Refound your videos, and love the style you paint these bots in. Just started getting into painting, mostly miniatures currently, and really looking forward to learning how to better paint like this :D
@@MMMayhem I have been looking for an excuse to get into Gamma Wolves. I’m working on some home brew rules so I can have an honest to goodness robots vs Kaiju battle. Your videos are all the push I needed to really knuckle down on it!
That thing looks rad! If it were me, i'd add a mech that reminded me of Diablos in Final Fantasy. All black base, red accents in the same shade/hue as the guy in the above video, and then do the similar freehand on it, as you did here, but with a ghost grey so it fades a bit into the black.
I got the same with Vallejo primer and the scratching. Even though it's marketed as 'Mecha Color', it's not good for Mecha. Mr Surfacer, though toxic is way more durable. I have no scratching issues since I switched.
Yeah Mr. surfacer slaps, just a pain to deal w/ the fumes and thinner... Haven't tried mecha colours yet, I wouldn't expect it to be much different from other vallejo
@@MMMayhem It's not any different. They are both polyurethane primers. G-Paint is apparently good, but still needs ventilation (but no thinner as it comes pre thinned). Apparently G-Paint doesn't need primer. They have a 'wooden toothpick' test on youtube.
You have to try Superglue and Baking soda tech for gap filling, base making, slight contouring, etc. Slap SG on put a pinch of BS on top, it will harden within a sec or two, depending on how much superglue used. It is a really easy way to fills seams on gunpla aswell.
The patterns remind me of Delftware pottery (think the stereotypical white teacup with the cobalt blue patterns). I could totally see a ceramic themed model with gold kintsugi styled cracks! I may need to find one to paint now actually.
Man omg i feel so seen, the OG Gusion is my favorite suit from IBO but i thought i was the only one that remembered it, most of the time i reference it people just think i mean the rebake, but i hate the rebake. i thought about buying the double kit that came with the gusion and the rebake so i could just throw the rebake parts away. Ooh your Gouf custom with the heat...naginata? looks sick. PS i also play gundam on tabletop using the fanmade Gundam5E books on the website of the same name.
hello beautiful paint work love it ... if you are concerned about paint chiping and rub off - you could look in to useing "rit synthetic dye" especially for the black bace colour . i find it longer lasting than paint.
Dude you are amazing at this, you have a new fan. I will also be following the channel closely. You Sir have inspired me to trying some experimenting with some of my kits. Keep up the great work!!
Ur great at these patterns. It would b pretty cool if u did a green zonai influenced heindree. Always thought that suit looked like those constructs from the new zelda game
Thank you for not knowing how to pronounce ko-fi either. Bothers me when I hear different people pronounce it differently & insist the way they say it is right. LOL Awesome paint job. I have 2 small guys sitting here on my desk that need something similar done to them. Thanks for making this video & showing me what's possible.
That looks incredible! The painting is superb but I feel like the design would work better with the dilzania’s shoulder armor either like as back armor with a scratch built armature or on the shoulders I feel without it it just makes the arms look a little too small besides that I think it’s a really cool take on a mobile suit and has amazing paint work
@Millennial Model Mayhem (you should totally get an rg banshee, that kit is amazing to just play with but youll have to lube the shoulders or they'll break)
