@@SeekerLancer I would imagine it takes actual talent for model building which is something I am heavily lacking in to even know how to match the parts without their code being on them.
This video has everything! Very attractive kitbashing, a base that went from "hot garbage" to just hot🌶️, WAP glaze blending, a Promare reference, and of course an eye poppin' fantastic paint job. May your new boy shock and awe your opponents on the battlefield.
The base didn't go from hot garbage. That is pretty much how every NMM technique starts. It just takes layer and layer and layer to make it smooth like you see. People who've never done it don't understand.
I'm noticing a trend.... every time I stumble across some awesome kit basher/painter/builder/maker and I think man I need to sub i see a studson comment (love all your work btw). Do you have some master list to save us time? Who else do you know about that I should be watching but I'm not!?!
I said it before and I'll say it again, I love how you blend your art styles across different mediums. A miniature paint style scaled up to a gunpla just looks gorgeous, excellent work!
I wish I could stomach the gouf custom any longer, and the deeper blues of Rambas gouf strike me more as a custom paint job, but I guess the gouf is just blue across all units?
I've recently started acrylic painting, so this how-to was actually very helpful. And your gouf is very cool. (I'm also Japanese, so my English is not fluent)
It was definitely a treat! I had to watch it a second time to fully digest lol. Amazing work! You most definitely have a unique talent and approach to things and I love to see it! Looking forward to the next one. 💪🏽
The Gouf Custom piloted by Colonel Norris Packard is one of my favorite Mobile Suits of the Gundam franchise. And this outstanding custom is well done. You just earned yourself a new subscriber. Keep up the great work! 👍🏾👍🏾💯
I watched this while a section of my body is really aching and it's painful, enduring the pain for 4+ hours and saying, "I want to die now." This helped ease the pain as it ignited my interest in gundam building and painting again as I have stopped due to various reasons. Thank you very much for this very inspiring and awesome video :)
the disconnection of witty meme humor + monotone logical personality + words like “bits” “stuffs” sounding like actual jargon is so entertaining to the point where I am disappointed in myself for not finding this channel sooner - I love this video so much it’s informative but also holds my attention with fun!
i see you, fellow shakey hands miniature and gunpla builder! I started with this hobby only this year, but the fact that you can always go back and correct your mistakes is something i deeply appreciate
Boi I've always airbrushed! Using a hand brush only to detail and touch up small muff ups but after watching this I wanna learn more! Thanks for firing me up!
nice, Gamma Wolves are a great use for Gunpla, I bought my first gunpla for exactly that reason and will soon get my first game in, would love to see this game take off
That is a great looking model, Liam! I have been into gunpla for 30 plus years and that is the first time I have seen those techniques applied to a mecha kit. Thanks for sharing this and also for the great use of the poly caps as missiles!
Norris Packard delivered probably THE best MS fight EVER in Gundam history. You did a great job there, the end result looks odd by GunPla standards but FANTASTIC as a piece of modell art. Kitbashing can yield fantastic results... but also horrible abominations... glad this one turned out the way it did. To quote Meijin Kawaguchi III: "GunPla is freedom"
I just found this channel and this video, and this is something I never considered doing to a gunpla. So cool and different. I just have no faith in my painting to make it look this amazing.
I really wish I had seen this before starting my Char Gelgoog. I love color modulation and the miniature look, and seeing how it is done on a larger scale like this, especially with no airbrush, is so good.
My you tube pushed this video at me 3 times before i realized i like it. The cutting the painting the gluing the gaming the broing plus what mysterious things it takes to record and present. Im inspired and encouraged to make some hoard loot that i can justify. And theres game rules for it?! Yaaar! Thank you thank you thank you!
I just found out about gunpla a couple days ago stumbled on it in my recommended. I collect and paint warhammer and model tanks. The building and painting aspect is my main hobby as I don’t play. I defiantly want to pick some of these up specifically to paint, so cool. Awesome video and I absolutely love the flow!
This is my favorite Zeon mobile suit. Now I want to get back into building and learn to paint as well. Some comments have mentioned the Ultramarines, personally I would to paint a Gouf Custom in the style of the Black Templars.
So i used to follow a few people on twitch that painted minis and the such and they were really good.. But you.. You're on another level all together.. Absolutely fantastic job with the hand paint.. Ive never really paid alot of attention to minis but i feel like i may end up taking a chance and trying my hand at one.. Thank you for sharing such awesome vids!!
Thank you for such a nice and thoughtful comment! The hobby scene on twitch is still going strong, I might do something there eventually, just havent had the time to figure it out and learn yet! To many clacks to edit lol
Youre blending is amazing. Ive never been able to pull it off but i hope to some day :) im currently building my first gunpla the wing gundam ew rg kit so i dont have enough extra parts to do a good kit bash but someday maybe:) really good job this looks amazing
You could call this a... Millenial Gouf Custom 😂 Ive noticed that most custom paint job gunpla tends to be used like this, where they simply become models instead of a Build-It-Yourself toy. Its absolutely fascinating to watch.
