Witcher 3 - Details On the Enhanced Edition, Clarification on What We are getting in the Update!

The thing that impressed me the most about the Witcher 3 was that every side quest was great and no filler

was considering reinstalling witcher 3 again, definitely will now that it's coming to PC as well, one of the best games i've ever played

The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece. Loaded with content for those who want to get lost in a magical world and for those who want a more focused journey its easy enough to just stay right on the main quest. Gameplay is deep enough to keep builds interesting Ultimately, it was the characters, dialogue and story that made the witcher 3 game of the decade

I paid 3 bucks for this game and all DLC together on ps store and did not know much going into the game. Blown away with how good it really was

One of the best games ever made. Keeps improving further. Way to go CDPR. Also although I own Witcher 3 on my gaming pc and Switch both, my go to system to play Witcher 3 is Nintendo Switch. Very happy to see improvements and additions are coming to Switch as well.

My Ryzen 5 5500U laptop could easily handle this game at amximum settings with 720p30. It was playable and looked VERY good. I hope I can still use these same settings or maybe get even better stability and performance with the settings..

I cant wait to do a new game + with the next gen update, including even a new DLC and more Content, this is so amaizing, i cant wait !

Hopefully they will incorporate some sort of camera mod, I used one on my last play through and changed the camera positions up a bit and it drastically altered the feel of the game.

To clarify: you need to own the DLCS (hearts of stone & blood wine) to get next gen update for these aswel! And yes W3 is getting completely full re-release on next gen & ps4

To make a clarification that has not been mentioned in this video. "The Game Of The Year Edition" has been renamed to the "Complete Edition" so that means the game of The year edition is not separate from complete edition!

I really hope they bring this game up to date visually.. It’s still one of the best games out there currently.

I copped the Witcher 3 with every DLC and Expansion like a year and half ago for like $10 on the PSN store, and decided to wait to play it because of the rumors that the game was getting an update. And boy was it worth it, I can’t wait to see how the game will look now. Btw they already raised price of the game on the PSN store. It’s a $49.99 right now if I’m not mistaken, so try to find deals on it before December, I’m sure they will raise the price to $60 easily.

It's awesome that the additional content is coming to last gen consoles. Means I can wait yet another year to buy Series X!

I’ve been waiting to replay the Witcher 3 since they announced this.

I had the Witcher for PS3 and I just bought it again on steam for 4 dollars,just completed the first few missions, what a beautiful game it is and about to get better, amazing!

Witcher three game of the year edition was like 5 bucks the other day on Xbox Microsoft store, (might not be the price but it was close to that)

Man I got lucky. I just bought it on Amazon and couple weeks ago. I had no idea they were going to do anything.

Words cannot explain how much I want an official transmog system in the game, always sucks finding a beatiful set of armor and innevitably having to change it for some clown shit geralt would never realistically wear, especially hits the hardest in the early game when you're forced to throw away your kaer morhen armor for some absolute dogshit.

They need to release this as a separate version on PC or allow us to still run the old one, some of us use mods that won't and in some cases can't be updated that this update will certainly break

I have the Witcher three on PS4 with all the DLC included I never beat the game so hopefully this next Gen update will help me beat it

CDPR lists December 14th as the date they drop the Enhanced Edition. Xbox.com list the same date as well, at which point the Game of the Year Edition gets renamed to Complete Edition (as mentioned below.) FWIW, xbox.com still has the GOTY edition on sale for $9.99 (compatibility Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and enhanced for Xbox One X) for 9 more days at time of this posting.

Its one of those games like skyrim that I’ve bought on many consoles and pc. Got the Witcher 3 on switch, pc, xbox and PlayStation. I played the game mainly on pc though but wanna try it on the series x and ps5 and bought the switch version played it for 10 min and said nope. Playing the game on steam deck is what i wanted from a switch port but it was still an amazing feat with the switch’s hardware. But just got my 4090 in man is it fast it’s almost too fast for some games and cpu’s. It makes my old high refresh 3440x1440 cry but i also got a 4k 144hz display to pair with it. Been waiting on the next gen update forever it was the reason i got the xbox and PlayStation versions on the cheap.

I’m super excited because I have never played the witcher 3 so it’s going to be a all new experience.

I hope no Woke politics no changing for modern audiance no censoring or removing problematic content do not pissoff us the fans

Its not a next gen update that would inply ps6 or xbox series y or whatever the next consoles will be called.. Its a current gen update for current gen consoles.

I'm sure it was an innocent mistake, but you say "I kinda assumed people understood this is coming to all platforms." The irony is; it's statment's like this why people are seeking clarification in the first place. It's NOT coming to all platforms. It's for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. There will be people wondering if it's coming to PS4, Xbox one, and even Switch, and in the first 45 seconds of this video you've led them astray.

I've got the Switch version, I'm curious what kind of improvements they're bringing for that version since obviously the hardware is limited when compared to Series X and PS5.

id love to see improvements to how hairworks is used, such a resource hog, mods make it better but a full re-work would be great

The fact that they have to specify that they will do a physical release is kinda dumb. It should just be expected, and physical and digital should release at the same time. That aside, I can't wait for this. I'm also super curious to see what the mods they're talking about integrating to the game are gonna be.

The confusion comes from CDPR calling this the "Next-Gen" Update which some people get confused if it means that just for the "Next-Gen" consoles alone

so if you own the base disc version WITHOUT the DLC expansions, do you get only the base game upgraded or do you also get the DLC for free? (akin to a "The Witcher 3: Complete Edition PS5 Upgraded")

A clarification question: if you only have the base game, would you get the complete edition with the expansions or only the next gen visual upgrade?

I dunno if to get a physical copy on Xbox or to get it digitally. Does the update still adds if you have a disc version? I have a PS4 version but haven't played it since I don't have one (used to play it on my brother's PS4), though I did get to finish the game on the Switch.

Why is it nobody ever talk about The Witcher 2 though that's just as good as three older but just as good and to be honest I kind of like The Witcher 2 systems for combat a little bit more than I like The Witcher 3s it's not as refined as smooth but it's far more tactical and requires more thought especially on dark

Just got a ps5 2 weeks ago and have been wanting to replay it if its more than just a frame rate. I wish they'd just remake the witcher 3 and update, improve, and add to all the quests. The story really makes it great for me but I don't if I'll feel that way with Ciri or other Witchers sorta like I feel not having Batman in Batman games. Id love a big open world where you'd release DLCs to buy so you can build your own world. We need the next improvement for open world games. Format needs a face lift

I am sure price will hike after update. I got witcher 3 for $2 last week on xbox sale. I had it already on playstation and pc. No way it will be $2 after the next gen update. It will probably be sold atleast at a price what a 2020 game is priced in 2022

It's the wording that's weird they are making it sound like the dlc is purchase only no matter what version you have standard or goty edition. Im assuming as I have the goty edition ps4 im getting the dlc upgrade for free.

I don't think they should make this update for free. There is al lot of work to be done to make this possible.

they need to fix geralt body movements especially when walking, also he looks like a stick, characters are too tall and slim, camera needs to be closer (make it as close as geralt glutes), swords needs to be wider and thicker (its too thin), combat needs to be upgraded to be even better, need to add more witcher gears and swords or make other relic swords and gears better, characters skin are too pinky creamy ? needs to be updated to be more realistic. there are others but i cant remember.

I actually bought this game 4 years ago on Steam during a sale and never installed it. Good to know that my purchase still means something with this update. I'll have to finally get around to playing it after this update drops.

When you wait 6 years to play something new from witchers universe and CDPR give you information wait 4-5 years for new game. And gives you next-gen in which you will not play or play in lowest grafics... And they give you armor inspired by sh** from netflix. CDPR annonauced Witcher 3 next-gen in 2020 year, they have 2 years to do something more than stupid armor. I mean they should do new missions and new monsters. You will ask why, Look at skellige sea, how much contrabands did you see ? A lot how many monster in this sea you have seen (without syrens). Anyone big boss on sea. Two big monsters will be not problem to add for big team. 2-3 weeks to make models and animations of Dragonturtle, something like Kelpia, Kejran. (For example Dragonturtle, one of Jarls ask geralt he would help him, because one big monster destroys boats and ships near his island, and he can't go on raids, and earns money from attacking nilfgards ships he gives him help to do this ship and small team with Druid, or please him to get Yennefer with him to k**l monster.) Novigrads rivers in books we have a lot off river monsters, like: Amphisbene, Vippers, Żagnica(Geraltia żagnica is name from books), other insectoids. Could be added one or two of them, contract for nilfgard army. (For example in river lives amphisbene which destroying food transports, from land they spend much more time than river Geralt get's contract and get boat) Monster or swamps we have only Drowners and hags, sometime foglets, where are Bloedzeugers from w1 ? Monsters like manticore was in plan to add in Kear Mohren, why was not added. You will not tell me, it was hard to do model of him(we have pantera, detlaff wings and osluzg tail mix it and you have manticore just they should add animations 1 week of work for team of moders). How it can looks (Manticore lives on Skelliges moutains near to Village and k* cows and humans) Scoietel missions for saving elf from Novigrad it can be more using novigrad sewages, and here could be added Zeugl. What's happend with Iorveth after witcher 2. (We can help small group of elfs run away using sewages like when we help triss, on us way could stand zeugl Iorveth(or other elf commander) help geralt fight or give geralt fight alone but he will searching another way) Viper armor should have own grand master bonuses... Witcher 3 word isn't fully used, they create master pice, but after someone end game 5 or more times it starting to be boring. I know this monsters could be added in next game, but after 4 years. In witcher 3 is a lot off space to add 50% of them with small fabular to it. They annonauced it: Witcher 3 "Complete edition" for me withot skelliges, rivers monster manticore and something with elf game isn't complete. Fans doing missions ownself like this guy which created "a Night to remember mod with Oriana", or guys which create something not in canon of witcher "Shades of Iron".

Completed it originally (including both expansions) on a base PS4 with a pretty outdated TV. Cannot wait to revisit on the PS5 with my LG C2 OLED, hyped to be able to play it with a smoother framerate!
