After almost 200 hrs playing The Witcher 3, and currently on my 2nd playthrough, I realize how terrible the game is. I'm going to keep playing just to make sure I still hate it.
Stage 1 of Witcher 3 addiction: Wow, this is the greatest game ever Stage 2: Oh wow…there’s a lot of stuff in this game that doesn’t really work Stage 3: *I CAN FIX IT* Stage 4: Subscribing to Xletalis
After slightly south of 2k hours I totally agree. I should play a 2nd no fast travel, no sprinting to objectives other than canonically necessary, lore accurate Geralt run just to confirm the game still sucks
Bruh, when I start playing the game can't put the controller down. It's been a while since a game peaked my interest like this. I just got to smash Keira Mets 👍👍👍.
@@watchmo2310I was heavily addicted to xans to the point I tried killing myself with em and barely survived cold turkey. shut the fuck up and take a joke bruh. Also theres truth to oc cuz over a year later I think about the witcher more then I do xans and can never get away from the game but I found my peace wit addiction.
This is obvious. It literally only took me 750 hours to realize what a heap of garbage this game is. I'm gonna keep playing to uncover more terrible flaws... for science.
@@weetabixharry what? You’re pulling my leg aren’t you? Come on…you plaid 750 hours dude stop with this tricks…I noticed every flaw with in 2 hours and psn won’t refund so I just deleted it…really Witcher 3 is a big downgrade from a lot of open world rpgs…I hate walking like I’m drunk, combat is trash too dude is a weakling lol one hit from a random monster take half your health and potions are trash…how do u play 750 hours and not notice this trash? I always wondered why people like this game…y’all are brainwashed to like trash
So happy to get a notification from you again! And to make such valid points at that! I've been missing your videos, seriously. Hope you're good and your family as well.
@@RyanlexzYou claim they're desperate, & insinuate they're losers by making this channel, meanwhile here you are copying this same dumb comment over & over again under different comments. Need I say more
Well on the tv show yes in the BOOKS VESEMIR would never do that I mean he crack down on the guys after Ciri dose something big time when well if triss had them For dinner he had them for dessert
I played the witcher 3 for the first time this year and gave up after 40 hours. It took me until the end to realize this was an april fools video because I was actually agreeing with all of his points 💀
What scares me most is all your arguments make perfect sense. It's kind of terrifying how this video can manipulate someone who never played the game into admitting how bad they're told it supposedly is.
The most scary fact is that everything xLetalis has mentioned in this video, as well as in previous 1st April videos, that all things he mentioned are actually true. Or at least they're technically not lies :|
they are technically not lies but they're practically not that bad. and the fall damage has been fixed plus Roach can actually jump over obstacles. So Roach getting stuck on pebbles is actually the gamer's fault. 🤣
@@marcrindermann9482 I know. I've already spend a three digit number of hour with the Witcher 3, so much time I'm even too ashamed to say explicitly. And I still get back to the game again and again just to make sure how much I hate it, as some other people has said in comment section :P
I know this is the April Fool's video, but I 100% agree with what you said about all the crafting diagrams. I collect everything as I go and the non-witcher items only serve to clog up the crafting menus. I have never crafted a single one of those things and wish you could hide them.
The Witcher 3 is the only game i refuse to delete. No matter if i need space or not. No matter if im playing it or not. You never know when that itch will return.
Uma-nnefer and selling Ciri will never not be funny! I love how you splashed in so many references to your best hits and it still worked perfectly. Keep it up man, you're the best!
Finally someone said it ! I never understood the hype. I finished it like 5 or 6 times to be shure but never found the "masterpiece" others talked about. Thank you for restoring the truth
I know this is an april fools joke but unironically I never found a liking for this game. Everyone calls it a masterpiece and I played it twice, it’s a decent game but definitely not as great people are talking about, I wish I liked this game as much as yall but it’s just meh at best for me.
@@Noir-c9kbecause it is a game that sets the standard for what other games should be held up to. Yes it’s buggy and some stuff may not work at times. It is by no means a PERFECT game but it manages to capture something that a lot of games try to capture but fail (destiny for ex.) which is capture the lore AND the gameplay + story building at the same time. Only games Like god of war manage to do that cause mixing long azz lore in a short game and keeping it interesting is hard. Also you get 2 full separate games and one has like a whole race of higher vampires all for like 15 bucks. It’s by no means a perfect game but it’s a game that keeps you interested in its world long after you’re done playing it. Seriously I looked into all the lore of all the monsters after killing them cause some of them are genuinely terrifying like the leshen. It’s not a perfect game but game developers who want to make an interesting world should definitely take notes from this game
@guts4300 it's not a joke it's facts this is an overrated game 😂just because it has nudity is the only reason it done well 😂look how cheap it is to buy compared to sleeping dogs that's still a mid priced game after all these years
I didnt realize this was an april fools joke lol. I really dont see what draws people to this game. It took me 100h to beat the base game and the entire time i was waiting for it to get good which never happened
This is April fools joke but for those that actually think the game is overrated , you have to understand no game is “perfect” gameplay wise or storytelling wise . But the fact that tw3 allows so many people to be immersed in the story, gameplay, and world is what makes it a masterpiece . I literally felt like I wanted to live inside the Witcher world when I was 15 playing this game the first time .
Damn I really wish I felt like this while I playing this game cus I really wanna understand what the hype around this game is about. Last week I legit installed to give it an other chance played it for a couple hours and then uninstalled it. Am I not enjoying it as much because I haven’t read the books? or played the other games? How do yall enjoy this game because I wanna like it too
@@Noir-c9k i havent read the books but enloy it to the maximum. Maybe try to enjoy the scenery, the jokes, the drama, the action. if you like medival and mythological themed games then it shouldnt be a problem. Maybe try to actually learn the game and its lore instead of just playing the game superficially. Make yourself enjoy the idea of a mutant knight who has superhuman abilities that roam the continent alone with two badass swords, killing monsters. you are also playing as a detective sorta. Your every action and choices of words will have a drastic change of the outcome of the game. there is so much more to this game than just it beinhg another open world game.
The only thing that bothers me is that during combat mode, you're not allowed to open doors & do other actions outside the combat mode which is kinda frustrating considering there're several quests regarding you to pursue the target
THANK GOD!! I was thinking.. "Whats goin' on ???!!!!". Somehow it hurt my feelings... All this years, and the videos we spent... And still I am watching XLetalis-Videos... This game is just a timeless masterpiece with it's simplicity in some matters, but it's overall-doing for a big audience is just brilliant. Thanks XLetalis for still reporting... 👍👍👍
I think keeping Witcher 3 main story long is absolutely a good idea giving each character and story emotional depth. Also it is a story based game. It is based on a novel not just children story books. If they rushed it they will ruin the story
This game is absolutely terrible. I share all the same sentiments. Gameplay, mechanics, combat system, crafting. I've tried to play this multiple times over that past 5 years and I can't get even 10 hours into to it. So boring.
The date aside, the combat is... irritating at times, many times. If you don't overpower enemies with sign or tank builds, the way Geralt helicopter spins at every random enemy across the map from him makes him more a dancer than a fighter, a bad one at that. 360 leapt at some nameless goon while fighting, they quickly slapped him with a club and I died in 1 hit, evidently the thugs have better fight experience than this nearly 100 year old witcher.
I still miss having a game this good to play. I completed it and the DLCs three times over. Just a beautiful piece of art. The music, god the music. Oh, and Gwent. I could play just that for hours.
Tbf some of the points of this video are right, like how clunky the movements and combat are, and horse riding. I know the point of this video was to be sarcastic but I believe the channel's owner aware of TW3's flaws
Remember the quest with Zoltan the dangerous game? I killed Duke at the end but after some days I visited the sewer and found him alive and standing inside the sewer where I killed him.
All that i regret in w3 was : 1. not be able to hunt down the last crone if i chose the good ending 2. No follow up on the death of the offieri prince on the sewer 3. The hunt for orianna only become trailer 4. No comeback for Gaunter O Dimm And last but not least 5. Need 4 more skill slot 😊
Oh yes, and now today when I played I have the same exp of the video 0:11, but with the monster and with the horse, in other parts sometimes also happen uu
If Witcher and Dragons Dogma had a baby it would be the perfect game. Awesome combat system from Dragons Dogma with the awesome story and lore from Witcher.
I'm curious tho, are you interested in the idea of making a video discussing the negative points of the game ? Just to give some personnal exemples : extremely poor ending of the main game where everyone dissapears and you pop at kaer morhen depressed, dissapointing lack of lore at the end of eredin, avalach just dissapear, lodge dissapear, no new dialogues with anyone, no news of priscilla health after her quest other than a very small mention at toussait prison, radovid death pretty much has 0 impact ingame, some "bad" quests that doesnt make sense, no new quests after the maingame end, cut off content for exemple the witcher ciri quest, cant kill the third crone with any of the good endings, toussaint graphics (just started Blood and Wine for the second time and it took me 3 hours to find mods to fix the terrible blur and feeling of low res textures). For my second playthrough of the game, i kept having a feeling of emptiness witnessing the wide number of """bad""" things this game has, i was particularly striked by the low amount of voicelines of some main character, you can almost count on your fingers the scenes with yennefer for example. Also the many bugs, glitching guards, had a decent amount of crashes despite having a good computer and mod free game, i got at multiple times the time freeze bug where i found online discussion about it from 8 years ago, some terribly bugged quests like gang of novigrad that still havent been fixed ... Overall this game is obviously awesome but as a completionist and someone who easely get pretty involved in things i like, it is also a bit of a torture playing it because it has many flaws. So, how about a video where you give an honest opinion on things you dislike/are sad about/would have changed ? :) (Sorry for all the mistakes i'm french )
Sorry, I know it's very unlikely you will read this, but I have some things I would like to add: Replaying The Witcher 3 ended up being almost depressing because it's my second playthrough. I first played it back when it came out, and I was around 16 years old. Now, at almost 25, playing the game through a more mature mindset clearly didn't help because all the little flaws appear much clearer. Throughout the entirety of the game, I kept asking myself, "I wish they would have made more content out of this and that." The lack of news from the Baron after he left with his wife, for example, is an understandable choice from CDPR, but the complete absence of news is sad because with a quest this good and complex, it would have been a very powerful emotional moment. For example, if we could have found the Baron and his wife in Toussaint. Same for the story sharing between the witchers around the table at Kaer Morhen, do Geralt really just have the White Orchard griffin contract to talk about ? I have yet to complete Toussaint, but I remember well that the dialogues with Regis are extremely well done and complete, with a nice slow pace. I even remember thinking that CDPR took more pleasure in writing dialogues between him and Geralt than with Triss/Yennefer/Dandelion/Ciri... which left me quite empty seeing how superior the content with Regis is. I had a lot of hopes when I heard about the 4.0 update, hoping it would bring fixes for all the emptiness and poor quantity of dialogues, absence of closures (talking to Roche after the main game? No new dialogues, same for Zoltan and the (few) rest of characters). I really thought CDPR would, as a last spread of love for a game we all cherished, resolve all these. But now I/we are hit with the fact that the game is 8 years old, that many of the voice actors have changed, or are simply unreachable because it wouldn't be worth it to get them into recording studios to do some more voicelines to please some depressed dudes who already paid for the game years ago. And CDPR seems to be busy making other things (Witcher 1 remake, I believe). To conclude, congrats if you made it to the end of my horrible monologue. I love The Witcher 3, I just hoped, with the success and the passion brought by so many people, almost a decade after the release, that CDPR would fix some things because, as an outsider of the gaming industry, it """just feels quite easy to do""" (the quotes are important).
Exactly! I had done several playthroughs and 300+ hours.... haven't touched it since 2021 until I saw this video...IMMEDIATELY got an overwhelming urge to start a New Game 🤓 😎 ⚔
The witcher is the most hated character in history, and rightly so. There is nothing he does right. He's a simple minded killing machine. Thank you for this long overdue truth. Love.
straight up scrolled past your channel because this video is the only context i had i was like 'i shant listen to witcher blasphemy' and wrote it off when it was actually the channel i was actively searching for funny how that works out 💀
I honestly hate how you have to play the game to experience the story and characters, just let me do it AFK, absolutely horrid game mechanics for a modern game!
Radovid's assassination quest made NO sense and it irritated me. I first thought we would convene to make a plan that included Philippa Eilhart whos reappearance could be a game changer. But No. She offers a tiny bit of help on her own, but that was not part of the plan. Dijkstra's unrealistic aim which motivates his backstabbing is stupid too. At about the same time Ciri and Geralt meets Dudu who impersonates Whoreson. A man I had killed, but Geralt had apparently forgotten that.
This is what happens when you listen to the hive mind. The game is truly a very bland boring game. Visually stunning but lacking any depth in gameplay.
I stopped playing as CP-2077 was a bust as I realized what "GOOD" devs they had were gone. And the updates since R trash. And that incluces W3 updates which made the game worse.
You should really play bg3, you'd like it, it'd give you something new to play and enjoy. or try the old legacy of kain: soul reaver 1/2/defiance games. They're pretty deep stuff, or try the elder scrolls oblivion, it's deeper than people think if you give it a chance. (get oblivion character overhaul for better faces, better cities for better cities, and a level scaling mod to fix enemies scaling with ur level and thats all u need) Infact elder scrolls, and especially oblivion has some of the deepest lore and lore rabbit holes of all time and it's really excellent written stuff, and it was a pioneer for modern AI in games. As I know there is not much W3 content u can do anymore. Or you could always play W3 again lol. But you could expand your horizons, there is a lot of crap out there, infact most of it is crap, but there are a few gems that aren't just the witcher 3, you should really give one or all of those a try.
As a former game developer, I was never truly impressed with Witcher three. The first thing that stands out is how horrible combat animations look they were terrible. I would never have done that myself. It’s like they didn’t even really care much about choreography realism or exciting action. You can’t make a game about a wandering adventure who is an expert combat and then have the worst combat possible in the game that doesn’t make for a very compelling experience now does it?
I'll be honest although he is joking the points are to the most part valid. The gameplay, movement, and crafting especially were kinda accurate. This is coming from someone with 250 hours on Witcher 3 btw
