Just finished watching, awesome vid. Despite my countless playthroughs, your vids always show cool new details I’ve never seen and make me wanna play the game again.
@@lilpp4791 kinda yes and not the CDPR studio located in Warsaw made Witcher and for Cyberpunk the studio located in Wroclaw. so yeah different locations different people, same shitty CEO
@@lilpp4791 Someone explain me pls why cyrberpunk was such a horse shit in comparation with the witcher games, like why... cringe corporate scums. huge mess from the start or what?
@@TheGabriel1351 We all know that they set up an unrealistic release date, and i've heard rumors that they had to adapt the whole story to fit in keanu reeves, but those are just rumors
That's why this game is loved so much. There is no right or wrong way to play. Only thing to do is to play it. A classic that will never get old. Thank you, xLetalis.
Agreed. Released in 2015, I still get an itch to start another playthrough every time I see a Witcher video, because diving into its world is such a mesmerising experience with a beautiful story being told. In a way, it can be considered life-changing :)
Can we take a moment to appreciate how much work Doug Cockle did fully voicing all those different dialogue branches, especially the white optional lines that some would skip.
i worry the next witcher game wont live up to it since the previous bar was set so high. i dont think it will be "the witcher 4" exactly since they finished geralts story. but cdpr and adrzej sapkowski did sign a deal for a new game so maybe it will be something fresh like someone being trained by geralt
When was your first playthrough? I remember feeling like i had done and seen everything in the game when I finished my first run, but goddamn I was so wrong. Even learning about the different builds you can make with your perk and mutation options, I did multiple subsequent playthroughs after that. And the game never gets old when you learn how to make Geralt a real Witcher God.
Even recently, I discovered two new little quests I had no idea existed. I honestly can’t believe the same company made this and Cyberpunk. I love cyberpunk but it’s not in the same galaxy as Witcher 3.
@@nerdoutreachprogram5358 I just got the game a week ago, the only thing I researched is when quests get cut off, I wanna do everything lol. I think I did make a mistake because jormund is apparently going to die since I didn't compleet a Witcher contract before walking in arinbjorn tavern and it will make me unable to do a quest behind it:( have not failed /cut-off any other quest so far and it's awesome. Question: do you also have that the cave where the bear is when you save princess the goat, stays white even though you have looted everything?
@@nerdoutreachprogram5358 This game often feels like Fallout to me, in that you can just point in a direction and ride your horse and you will stumble into something interesting.
4:07 it's funny, because I first thought it's funny for Geralt to show up to Yen with absolutely nothing but grump, but after reading Tower of Swallows, i gotta say, this response is actually very fitting of the man that spent two books traveling north and south almost entirely aimlessly in vain search of the woman he literally cannot sever his fate from.
This feels like a love letter to all your 'Details' videos. I know what I'm doing for the next half an hour. Amazing work on this video and over the years!
Everybody's talking about your amazing dedication and hard work but there are way too few comments about your amazing editing and visual jokes. Great video!
Extremely impressive that the game accounts for all the routes you can take. I dread to think of the QA that was required to ensure this all worked. Hats off to CDPR for this masterpiece.
I can't believe what I saw in this video. From the development point of view, this is insane. From recording new unique dialogues to tracking what combinations a player might try and implement it. I wanna send my love to those geniuses in CDPR in person. And I send my love to you cause we all would've missed all this without you. Thank you, man, thank you.
To have plotted out all of that and tracked all the statuses in game to trigger the correct dialogues and options is extremely difficult (not technically just from a details POV). Getting that properly tested a tester, live or automated, to walk all the possible branches and check all the critical interactions to verify that things happened properly. As someone who has done SW project management just the QA on that is a huge undertaking.
You are beeing too fanboyish. It is not hard at all. Its just a couple of binary variables in the memory. And recording new lines is very easy for the voice actors, as they are used to record a ton.
This is insane. I've kind of always wondered about what would happen if you did them in a "wrong" order and have seen a few videos about it, but this is truly some next level stuff. Amazing work as always!
I can feel the envy here. You was number 1 until someone threatening it and you immediately try to shut it down. Not a cool move though, he can just collab or comment on his video to show something, but he just ignoring all the comment mentioned Knight.
Not 100% sure what you guys are referring to since I haven't fully watched Neon Knight's videos, but this one is certainly not an attempt to do anything against him or anyone else :O I will say that I do not go on RU-vid to check if the things I wish to make videos about have already been shown by others, so I fully admit that I'm likely not the first or the only one to ever talk about them. Also If you're accusing me of stealing the part where you do Skellige before finishing Velen feel free to contact me on discord and I'll send you my nearly 3-year-old recording of it. The Witcher 3 is the most beautiful game i've ever played. It will be my number 1 of games forever. Doesnt matter what games come out in future... it just feels like...No matter how much u know, explore and learn about the game.... u will always find something New u dont even know its there. It is an endless journey of emotions, fun and satisfaction. Thank you for sharing All of your incredible knowledge of this Breathtaking game.
Yep, every person has this one game they cherrish the most. For me it is Gothic 1, one of the first games I played, got it from a cd that came with a game magazine. It blew me away.
@@AmeerBANKAI even the pacing is slow that's why it becomes slow and boring sometimes of story and open world is kinda meh it's just my opinion don't kill me
@@AmeerBANKAI Also time consistency is terrible. When quest order related text lines are mostly consistent and diverse, time consistency suffers making you feel... Not as involved as you can be For me Witcher 3 is 7/10 game... 8/10 at most. Decent story, good quests. Meh experience, don't feel as involved. Severity of consequences also sometimes too shallow and sometimes too deep and unpredictable. Also UI allowing to only track one quest. Doesn't mean game is bad. Just not what i am enjoying as much as some other games
This has to be one of the best from your "Details missed" series, an amazing video from start to finish. It'd be lovely to see the same type of video for Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine!
xLetalis is a blessing to TW3 community, so good to have him around ngl :D I really wish you got an easter egg or two in the upcoming Witcher-related content, I think someone in the comments proposed to add a scholar names Letalis or something like that :)
Well. That is a masterpiece. You have put so much effort in it over the years. This is just amazing. Thank you so much! Not just for this video, for your work in total! absolutely amazing!
The amount of playtime that you had to get through to produce this is just incredible. I played through it 3 different times and every time I always thought there was so many different ways to experience this and you’ve done such an amazing project and presentation in order to show just how fantastic this game is.
The diversity of the Skellige endings is mind-boggling! I never knew that there were so many in the first place and it's staggering how detail dependent they are! And that camera angle with Cerys? Still can't believe that they actually did that, and it's so unique for the whole game! Thank you so much for this video XLetalis, it really shows how hard you work and all the time you put into your videos!
Oh man ooooh man... Being a huge witcher nerd and an insane fan of xLetalis, I must say it's been a joyride to experience these videos and see if I missed something. There was a youtube channel created by the name "Neon Knight" recently who uploaded a video about the skipping baron quest and the whole uma questline, I was blown away by the information, let alone wondered how our lovely xLetalis hasn't made a video of... But, I know we're all in this together and forever... And video about the witcher 3, we all appreciate. Now seeing how he covered up the whole baron and uma quest line made me chuckle a bit, it was a really nice coincidence and reminded me how insane of a nerd xLetalis is, just like me.
@@xLetalis "Yeah I wanted to make a video about all possible outcomes of all possible variations for quite some time." I thought it was akin to the Darwin-Wallace situation. ;-)
Man I’ve played through the game at least 5 times, all different styles and yes haven’t run into most of these variations…goes to show just how large and in depth this game really is.
I have so much respect for the developers with putting in so many small details, knowing that most people wont get to see them and yet those who will, will love it
Its amazing how this game has so many small hidden details in it, but its 10 times amazing how people like you bring out them open in the community and you being absolute top level in the field. I wish CDPR should recognise your hard work officially, giving you all the credit you deserve. Love from India.
Just curious, why does every commenter from India keep adding "love from india" in the end to finish off their sentences? I have never seen anyone go "love from the USA" or "love from Australia" and stuff like that.
I am constantly impressed by your thorough research of this game, which continues to reaffirm that this is the best game I have ever played. The creators put so much love and care into it!
I love sequence breaking loads, so this kind of video is right up my alley! I’m surprised how few continuity errors there are, seems like they were incredibly deliberate with dialogue for the most part!
This was quoie possibly the most informative thing I have ever watched. I've played 4 times, and I've encountered a few of those rare dialogues like the Necromancy one and the skellige one with Yen at the beginning. The one with Cerys on the beach is INCREDIBLE FASCINATING! That is epic, and your little "but" with Triss's a** is priceless. Your editing is incredible and KEEP BEING EPIC LETALIS!
The number of variables that all seem to work together is truly astounding. The amount of work this must have entailed has to be in a league of its own. So how they could make Cyberpunk much less polished considering the increased funding available is rather disappointing. Having said that, the amount of time and effort you put into these videos mightily impressive. I do hope everyone who watches appreciates it.
It's clear that Cyberpunk was rushed because the board pressured the devs to rush the game. Otherwise, we would have got a similar treatment for Cyberpunk too. Maybe, that's why, many old veterans of CDPR left the company. I just hope that the board reverts CDPR to its older form.
The witcher is an easier game to make than Cyberpunk. On top of that, Witcher is priced for its story. I don't know of many that praise it for the gameplay. People praise Cyberpunk for the story in the same way. The gameplay is rather lackluster. Then some core mechanics are pretty poor.
lmao the shade thrown at Yen throughout the video, idk why it gets to me but it does I like her don't get me wrong, but it's very refreshing to have someone """critic""" her and not just blindly praising her. . I remembered watching his channel quite intensely back a few years ago, during my 1st playthrough and, as I'm doing my 2nd one I just came back here and I'm glad the person who is behind this channel continues to do The Witcher 3 videos. It's been 7 years and still there's things that haven't been discovered. . This game is truly a masterpiece, one in a lifetime.
This is such a good video that I had to watch it twice I can clearly see how much effort you put in this video still the views don't do justice, but you always gonna have these loyal fanbase who will come again and again to watch these videos.
"I love this game." _Plays for thousands of hours, shows up every small detail that he finds, makes a lot of videos, uses mods, talks about the Netflix series..._ Me: oh! so you love the game! nice! (just kidding, this game is awesome!) There were a lot of details that I wished to see from this game, like what happens when you don't see Uma before going to Skellige, but could not do it thanks to university. Thank you agaon for sharing this with us!
There's another small mistake/oversight. You know how Triss, Keira and Roche all have unique dialogues you only get if you progress the main quest to the point of asking them to help with Brothers in Arms, but their personal quests are still outstanding? I discovered that Cerys actually has one of these too. It only works if you follow her back to the guest room she's staying in while in Svorlag AFTER you finish the Possession quest. The prompt to ask for her help will show up there. And she'll promise to help when the matter of the crown is settled. But you'll still have to ask her the same as you normally do later on, and she doesn't indicate any awareness that she already promised her help. Even though she technically changes her answer to "Go ask Hjalmar." I don't know if it's just an artefact that the devs didn't remove because no play testers actually stumbled into the old version still in the game, or if maybe it's part cut content where you could've had Cerys at Kaer Mohen. ETA - I thought about it, and I think Triss's dialogue has a similar issue. As her going away scene stays the same as it always does for the ship sailing scene. Even though she already knows about the Wild Hunt coming to Kaer Morhen, and says that if Geralt helps, she can do both. But then all her getting on the ship dialogue still seems like she's saying goodbye forever and going to Kovir. Which is odd because Keira's entire dialogue changes if you send her to Kaer Morhen when the Hunt is coming, but Triss always shows up at Kaer Morhen anyway.
You've actually blown me away with your hard work and love for the witcher series! A creator of fictional worlds dream of having fans like you, honestly well done!!!
The level of detail in this game is truly amazing. What's equally amazing is the time and effort that goes to your videos. Great job as always, my man!
I'm a simple lad. A video opens with Geralt dissing the Witcher live action casting, it gets an automatic like. Keep it up, man. Great content as always.
I’m sure the majority of us wouldn’t notice the slight variations in conversations between geralt and the others, they sure put some time and planning into the dialogue that’s for sure, and you put even more into finding it all, good job man!
I first remember playing the game for the first time a few years ago and loving it, then I found your channel and saw all those detail videos, that made me love the game even more and it became my favorite game of all time. Since then I’ve replayed the game twice and I can only thank you for your content and dedication! You are amazing Letails!
I keep coming back to this game time and time again. Such a masterpiece. My only real complaint is the combat is more flowing instead of having a precision feeling like the Dark Souls games and that makes it kind of too easy. I also like to run around completing all the side quests and that just makes me over-leveled for everything.
Too easy? This is one of the hardest games I've played. The combat system is quite difficult. One enemy I can handle, even two. But once the game starts clustering enemies together, that's when it gets intense and there's no attacks to deal with groups.
@@TheFLAMEXD Even on the hardest difficulty I find it pretty straightforward. Most of the enemies have predictable attack patterns so you can dodge, and counter, and you have all the potions, oils, and bombs to help too, and the signs too if you spec in them get very useful.
This game will forever be in my heart as the greatest story I ever played myself. Learning that they went THIS far is just an icing on the top. Thanks for the video!
Between you and Proper Bird, the Witcher fandom should be alive and well for some time. And I love that about you guys! Your genuine love and passion for this world is infectious and always pulls me back in. Been watching so many of these videos that I should probably set aside some time and take up the ol’ steel and silver again in NG+… Best of luck on The Path
Dang, that were 25mins well spent, thx man, so much info so many options and to have the developers think this all thru and implement it, thats a proper full circle quest design. Never even came up with the idea, to try it that way...to see it play out is awesome and deepens my appreciation of CDPR and you, keep it up man. :)
Incredible attention to detail in this game. This is why I love playing it (and replaying it). It's a game I boot up about once a year, and I have no regrets playing through it all over again.
6:30 i disagree. now granted, i have never read the books and only played w3 but i assume yen to be the type of person who loves social power. knowing who controls a certain area means she can learn about them and how to use them to get what she wants from it.
Oh my Triss... Started from Witcher 1 Triss for life! Found out most people from the book tend to choose Yen as well as those started from 3. Well still, most players got chained in bed huh greedy greedy
Considering you can bonk Yen once without triggering her as the love interest, and everyone else is fair game, its kinda reasonable to get chained to the bed in your first run. Lol
I've always felt that the main weakness of Withcer 3 was the kind of dissonance between the slow open world part and the fast paced main questline. Now I see the main storyline quests are not as linear as I thought, which is pretty dope. Thank you for taking so much time to work on that!
The conversation with Donar contains little easter eggs to who Uma is, Donar says "this was no human" when of course he isn't he's an elf, Geralt jokes that he's looking to train a new Witcher when you later subject Uma to the Trial of the Grasses
Every time someone says 'Witcher 3 is overrated' show them this video... Or any video of this channel... I think for the rest of my life I'll keep coming back to replay this masterpiece like comfort food😁
I mean amount of time this man spent (playing game, making clips, editing) to show us this in 25 minutes is just crazy...! You deserve nothing but respect sir!
It's absolutely mind blowing the amount of work that went into this game. It's equally mind blowing how much research xLetalis puts into his videos too.
To show you hop into a well in the background footage while you say "well" in your script without further acknowledging it or doing any of that "SEE GUYS? I MADE A PUN! LAUGH NOW!" is refreshing. Pun well done.
CDPR should present you with an award or something for everything you've done with this game they would've never imagined some one would go to such lengths to uncover all the stuff you have mate I find it incredible.
@@ShooshedGamer not sure what u mean, ive barely ever been on reddit outside of google search results.. i just think this guy does a great job. If u dont wanna be a positive then ok…go back to reddit i guess?
It is insane how much work and detail CDPR putted into this game. All these dialogue variations wouldn't be an issue if they were not added, yet they went ahead and putted that much effort. Witcher 3, a very special game for many of us
This is why this is the best game ever. The details and lore by the writers and the dedication to telling a complete story and giving you the freedom to experience it in your own way is so special I can’t wait for the Witcher 4 announcement coming this year per my buddy that works freelance for cdpr.
> *Witcher 4 announcement coming this year per my buddy that works freelance for cdpr.* did you just confirm it's Witcher 4 and not some Witcher 1 remake or something?
Not many of the witcher team was left by the time cyberpunk went into full development. Cdpr really fucked up losing their a team. A good lesson to treat your employees well.
@@bethbearmacethatguy really!? I didn't know that, but it explains a lot. I figured with the success of witcher 3 the employees would have stuck around and cash on the success.

SUCH SUCH a great video, love it. You just answered a bunch of questions that I had in regards to play order and variants scenarios.
Been playing games since the late 70’s and after thousands of games played across nearly every console this game stands out for me. I’ve never enjoyed playing anything as much. Collecting the different armour, swords and making Gerald as powerful as possible was an absolute joy. I’m now on ps5 and just can’t wait for Witcher 4. Hope Gwent is back too.
Damn I miss this game... its been so long since I played it last. Out of all the games I played over the years its still my favorite game. Your videos keep pulling me back in to play another hundred hours, and I regret none of it. So thanks for that, and I hope to see more videos in the future, hopefully about the upcoming remastered version of Witcher 3
omg, u are so amazing . I have one question: why CD Project Red still haven't created a video with all possible details and dialogues and we need to spend 6.5 years trying to find them all?
What a giant load of work that is - imagine sitting there dividing dialogue lines options piece by piece and trying to accomodate for whatever weird shit the player might do but still trying to strive for uniqueness and consistency of the story. Surely, a lot of these were found by testers that actually had to do a lot of weird shit to report incosistencies, but working out each case individually instead of coming up some generic lines or just dropping some - that's such an overwhelming task, damn. And of course the fact that all of these player choices had to be repeated and compiled into one video by xLetalis is insane. "Milking the same game for content" actually got a positive spin to it thanks to videos like these. Huge W to xLetalis and whoever helped him along the way - you people are crazy but very dedicated
This has to be the best video research video made anywhere on youtube. The amount of interest reseaching the possible outcomes, and playing like it was not supposed to, and, actually finding that the developers have already prepapred for all of it.. man, I praise both you and the developers. I would've never thought of going to skellige first.
9.55 got me. I'd never think to check every single cutscene for this type of detail, now I will. And honestly, the Witcher games are known for creating incredible details or hidden mechanics you can only appreciate. In the first game, Geralt can write a letter, choosing what to write nad send it. So simple yet so rarely games do it outsideof quests, just for the sake of immersion.
Woah, that's a lot of details missed with all these variations. Several scenarios to explore but damn, that scene of Geralt turning his head (if player doesn't choose dialogue long enough when with Yen at Skellige), and seeing Cerys that must be my favorite (it's just very subtle, that scene insertion). So you've went through the playing the main game out of order, with different dialogue/scenes results. Are there similar scenarios for the 2 expansions Heart of Stone & Blood and Wine?
I wonder how many weeks the writers spent just working on these few major scenes? Of all these ways this campaign can be played out, they did an awesome job of making sure everything still played out properly. How can someone NOT play the game “as intended” when they seem to have thought out everything? Well, except for that one minor detail you pointed out. Awesome work compiling all this just for one video! You’re definitely one of the most dedicated video game streamers I’ve had the honor of watching.
I agree with you that she's hot. I love all the redheads in this game and I wish you could romance Shani and replace Yen/Triss. But Cerys would never work. First, she will probably want to eventually produce an heir or at least potentially look like she could produce an heir. Second, and much more important, is the fact that she is already shattering tradition by being the first Queen of the Skellige Isles. For the sake of uniting the jarls and placating the people, who are faced with a foreign invasion, she will need to marry a Skelliger. I DO love that Cerys is obviously super in to Geralt though so maybe raw passion could overcome all difficulties...?
Is it really "not intended" though? Considering all the dialogue, they definitely DID intend for playthroughs of a different course. More so, in the case of UMA who literally has a quest only accessible if you do Skellige first. Too be fair, all three of those scenes are "summarization" scenes of the game progress so far. So, dialogue-wise, must have been the most meticulously planned. They probably had the same curiosity writing the scenes, as you had watching the scenes; "What if....?" Likewise, there are different variations of the dialogue over the moving stills that appear when you transition loading screens based on progress of events that have occurred in between. I think there are 4-5 different game states that Vesemir can establish per image. Which means like 28-30 different versions of narration he can give.
The dialogue is recorded separately, and the story is known beforehand. It makes sense that there are all of these branches. What if later on in development they decide the game starts in Skelege? They can't have Charles Dance come for just a few lines.
One funny detail was when after Radovid was killed, I passed a Novigrad citizen who shouted: Long live Radovid! I was like: Oh, honey, nobody told you 😢😅 Thank you so much for your amazing job! After I've started playing the Witcher again, I watched your video for the second time. The game is wonderful and so are you❤
