Never loose that inner child. It makes life so much more bearable. I recently turned 60 and my inner child sat with me and agreed that it too cannot believe that so much time has passed....

I had a grandfather tree for years until a storm took it & I truly cried. It was a wise old tree. How I miss its shade & hugs! I’m a 70 yr old grandmom & the only way I can “feel” my childlike self is when I’m with my aunt…she is the only family I have left from my childhood. She always made me happy & smelled so good. All of my childhood memories of her were wonderful. As I grew into an adult though I found not to expect any kind of response from her whenever I needed her opinion, wanted to confide in her or have deep conversation with her because she didn’t seem to know what to do with it & still doesn’t. Lol All of that aside, as an adult I still get that childhood excitement whenever I know I’m going to see her & spend time with her. But I miss having someone to open my adult heart to, who also knew me as a child…I miss my mother & Dad with that.

Really great, feel good video Alwyn. I loved the phrase at the very end, " If we ever lose everything or anything, it always comes down to the fact that we will always have ourselves and our heart." That really stuck with me, it's beautiful❤

That tiny spoon is for an antique salt cellar. They usually were small Crystal dishes and people scooped salt out to sprinkle it instead of salt shakers. And the butterfly! How gorgeous ❤️ I can’t believe they are out already. Ironically they love the salt on our hands 🤩 Loved this! Thank you ❤️❤️

I was in a deep depression last year even in the summer when I'm usually pretty happy. I think I broke my own heart last year with the thought that childhood me would be so disappointed in how my life has gone so far. I didn't do anything the way she wanted...at least in my most negative mindset that's what I thought. I'm trying to come out of that depression and these videos help a lot. 🧚‍♂️🧚🧚‍♀️

Omg, I'm reclaiming the colour pink too this year! I developed an aversion to pink as a little girl because of how much it was shoved down our throats as kids that girls have to like pink and everything catered to you as a little girl is all pink... I'm headed to my 30th birthday and finally rediscovering how much I actually love pink and "girly" colours. I think the Barbie movie also played it's part in bringing my attention back to how growing up understanding the disdain towards everything feminine cut me off from that part of myself pretty early on. I learned to feel shame and disdain towards those parts of myself too. And I'd had an inkling that that was something I might want to to reclaim for a while, but it really took that movie to bring it to the forefront of my mind and truly awaken my inner child to how much joy most shades of pink and girliness do actually bring her and how there's no shame to be held over that. Now that I am an adult and, as you said, allowed to draw and paint on my walls, I intend to paint my kitchen cabinets burgundy and my bedroom sunset pinkand my inner child would have me paint every room a different shade of pastel pinks and purples if I let her -not sure I can afford this much paint this year, though, amidst all of my other home projects... And I used to love yellow too. It was my favourite colour as toddler. And I feel the yearning to acknowledge and honour my little girl self and let her have the joys she was denied, I want to feel loved and seen in that way. Thank you so, so much for this video and the regular reminders to not indulge in judgement, because that's really the internalised shame taking over. The reminder of the importance and pure love and hapiness that reside in honouring our inner child! This was a very needed and welcome message that really came in perfect timing too for me! Much love and gratefulness to you!

Once again, I am charmed by your sense of whimsy & delight. I also love hydrangeas - my granny had several huge hydrangea bushes around her cottage that was located in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina (in the US). When they would fade & get that pale, papery look, I would call them "ghost flowers" because they looked almost like their bodies had faded but their spirits were left behind.

I too love venturing in my local woods, lots of catkins, ivy and holly, and birdsong. I haven't been in the woods for a while, but we walk on the edge of it, there's pathways. I love ivy. My daughter, whos 19, used to make potions, i used to find lots of tiny bottles of food colouring and glitter everywhere. I journal everyday for self care, and make junk journals.

I loved what you did to your wall behind the alter. I am 66 years young, and grew up at a time when we had to do as we were told as children. Being the free spirit that I now know I am, this did suppress me, and affected me all my life, and it is only in the past few years I realize what damage it did to me. My parents thought they were doing the right thing, but how different things would have been today. So I nurture the child within me, that can now be free. I want to stay forever young. I finally made time to sit and focus on your video, my Gram passed away on the 10th so the week following was hectic with planning her memorial. She was my last grandparent so it feels like it is up to me and my generation to keep her and all our loved ones spirit alive by keeping them close and having their things displayed & making their recipes. I love all your alters, for each part of your day! I used to make potions too & I still remember the smell of one because it was awful lol, that is what you get when you use all the spices & Palmolive dish soap lol🤢.
