I know! However you see it, a little or a lot weird, you have to say... you've never seen another one! 😂 Taxidermy is gaining in popularity again. I hope you find some inspiration and had fun crafting with me! A little tidbit of information about the Victorians. Especially popular in the late 19th century in America and England. Taxidermy brought nature into their homes for one and also was a way to show off their wealth. It's all about keeping up with the Joneses. Love these! I found a set of four antelope feet (front and back) recently at a garage sale. The seller had shot the antelope in Montana on a hunting trip with her husband. He does taxidermy and bent all four feet at right angles, so they can be used for fireplace tool handles or as a gun rack. Your candle stick design has inspired me to go in a different direction. I also plan to track down some turkey feet. Love your intro. TFS.

I had not seen a deer leg candle holder, so I was like..HUH? But as usual you made me like the dang thing! And other than running out to murder a turkey, where would one find turkey legs, as I love that creation as well! You did it again. Good crafting.

I’ve listed over the deer feet inkwells for years but somehow not seen them in candleholder form, and I really liked the one you made, the antique bit of chandelier brought it together (literally and visually!!) in a super cool way. I have deer feet in my deep freeze that will have a future in my decor! Oh and I already have turkey feet out on display. Taxidermy is my love language.
