Amy Ewen performs Paul Lovatt-Cooper's 'With His First Breath' written for Baritone Horn and Brass Band. 21/01/20 with the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Brass Band, conducted by Ian Porthouse.
I am the only girl baritone in my high-school band and seeing this helped so much and you have such a butiful sound I love it so much. keep doing it and never give up on it!
Breath of souls means a lot for me , my biggest achievement with a brass band. I've heard this so many times, but you this is the only time I've felt the emotion. Thank you Amy 😊
I,ve listened to you play this superb piece of music a few times now , and I,ve listened to a couple of others too , but , I can honestly feel the emotion you have when you play this .......just brilliant ......truly brilliant .
@@amy_ewen You,re a very talented player with a gorgeous sound . I,m a euph player myself but have my own Baritone , and i have ordered this piece of music to have a go ..... if I can make it sound just a fraction of this vid I,ll be very happy indeed .
Outstanding lass, well done it’s nice to see that you also flow with your music. I’m returning to brass after 20 years of not playing so I’m still at an early stage, but it’s still there just a tad rusty so it’s practice, practice, practice until I build my confidence back up again to hopefully join a local band.
Hi Amy, such a rich lyrical sound lovely to hear how your playing and sound has matured , such a beautiful bit of writing from PLC (love the original piece BoS) x
