The one with Tarja is Paradise( What About Us). Her shows are always major productions. I love the chorus. The men's choir is the Gregorian choir. Sharon's voice is unique. I enjoy listening to her.It was a great performance.
Well, we all have different tastes, but I will suggest a sample platter here.. From their first album (gothic metal) I would listen to studio version of "Restless" and the live version of "Enter" from the Mother Earth tour DVD. From their second album (Celtic metal) I would listen to the live version of "The Promise" at Rock Werchter from the Mother Earth DVD and any version of "Deceiver of Fools". From their third album (symphonic rock) I'd do "See Who I am", live or studio,, and there is a beautiful live version of "Somewhere" on Black Symphony, a duet with Anneke von Gersberger (spelling). From their fourth album you can try them all, it's my favourite, (symphonic metal) but I would try "The Truth Beneath the Rose" live and "Forgiven" live or studio. From their fifth album (80's rock ) I like "Iron" (studio or live) and "Stairway to the Skies" (live from the Elements concert). Their sixth album I found disappointing, What About Us is the best song, but for something different try And We Run, which has a guest rap appearance and Let Us Burn
Cool that you reacted to a Within Temptation. Since you liked the instrumental part a lot you should take a look at the beginning if this concert. It Starts out with a very nice overture specially written for this show that flows into the song called Jillian. Be aware that this clip is about 10 minutes long but well worth the effort. I my my oppion this is how you build-up tension and exitement in the crowd. Here the link to mentioned clip ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cgq4S5zDafs.html
Keep up the good work! We like similar music. Less popular bands are often the best bands. Different! You are young. I am not so young. Suggestion: here are some other bands you might want to listen to: Delerium ... best album Karma ... as well watch the RU-vid video 2010 concert. Also, German band: Tangerine Dream ... album Richocet (best turned loud while driving at night). Enigma: “Mea Culpa” (platinum version) use headphones for this one. You have also given me some new bands to watch which I like such as Gregorian Meadows as well as The Fark Element. Thanks!
@UC1HVDDhpHtkD1yyyAsiBdrgThis is the first time i have ever seen somebody mentioning Tangerine Dream in a comment section of a music clip. My favorite record by them would be either be Encore or Rubicon but Ricochet really good aswell. I have even seen them live about 30 years ago. That was so cool.
