This cover is absolutely perfect man! I am kind of obsessed with this song at the moment, and have watched a few versions of people covering it. I know now, that I won't find a better attempt than yours!!! Absolutely spot on in every way. Amazing playing and amazing production quality! Well done 🤘
Thanks, man! I don't remember, to be honest. I usually check out 2-3 different tabs, which usually all are flawed, but it gets me in the ballpark. Then I try to figure out the things that seemed off in the tab by ear. My version is probably not 100% either, but it's close enough for me!
My favourite Immortal song. I watched Abbath live 3 days ago, but he sadly swapped this song with "All Shall Fall" on current tour in the last countries.
Wow! I haven't checked the others, but I take that as a huge compliment. It's been over two years since I posted this, so maybe it's time to do another.. ? hmm..
That was truly awesome. That tone! I fucking love Immortal and all offshoots, Abbath, I, Demonaz. Going to check out your band. Hope you guys are still around.
Hi Roger, very nice cover, the tone is spot on. Like to ask you, compared to the original, from 5.30-6.25, feels like you play it in a reverse way, especially the high string notes. Is this because of tuning different?
Thank you! I haven't done any changes deliberately, but I wouldn't bet my life on the accuracy of how I played it. Abbath's playing is very sloppy on the album so it's kind of hard to say how it's supposed to be.. I guess that's part of the charm, though :)
Sure :) I like it, but these days I'm only playing guitars with Evertune bridge. Only Solar guitars so far. Sadly, this means that the Schechter is mostly hanging on the wall :s
It's awesome! When I first got it, it had fretbuzz from hell. I took it to a guitar tech who said the nut was mounted way to deep. Luckily he fixed it and did some standard adjustments. Now it's one of the best guitars I have played! I also got the money for the repair back from the vendor, so it's all good. I guess there's always a slight risk of stuff like that happening when buying guitars factory assembled in Asia, but everything else seems flawless, so I'm not sure how it could have happened. It does neckdive a tiny bit, but nothing to worry about. And I hate neckdive!
I have had mine for a little over a year now and I was wondering if you had any problems with your 3 way selector switch being loose in the bridge position
