Actuarial science degree is the most difficult to obtain, you have to have a high eplitude in mathematics and science. There are very few actuaries around anywhere in the world. That's why there is a 0% unemployment rate and it's an extremely rewarding profession.
Bro i know that at wits they have module which is called Actuarial science but i heard that it's difficult to do actual science at wits so i don't know that i have to choose wits or uj in order to study actuarial science 😢may you please help me
Good day. There are a number of universities in South Africa that allow undergraduate students study Actuarial Science as their major. Actuarial Science is a very challenging major to study, no matter which university you choose to attend. It was painful for me to qualify as an Actuary (the exams are rough) but I have been a qualified Actuary for 21 years and have always enjoyed the career. I did my Masters at Wits university (in my 40s) and I know a couple of Actuaries who work there, they are all excellent. I suggest that you reach out to some of the universities that provide Actuarial Science and ask them for more information. All of the best, God bless.
