I've been using this for a few years now and it does help. To the shooter it makes the 5.56 sound more like a shotgun. It's more airy and less high pitch if that makes sense.
@@PewTube24 ...they had the Mod 1 suppressors on sale too...If I'd had the money, I'd'a bought the Dirty Thirty...IIRC the cost was close to 300 bux...just didn't have it...fixin' top use the SME on my 10.5 in 5.56 barrel I recently bought from PSA
That’ll be a sweet setup man! Im not sure if you follow Witt on Instagram but you might go ahead because they give decent heads up on when they’ll be running sales so you can get some funds lined out for the next time! Maybe follow ya boy while you’re at it😆
I’m going to try it. People are asking about scientific ways of testing the decibel,it’s only about $175. I have hundreds of dollars worth of holster that I don’t even use.worst case scenario it join them on the pile
If I had a decibel meter I would 100% show it that way but without having that, this seems to be the only way to get it to come across on camera. I’ve been very impressed with mine and I plan on getting another one for my 7mag deer rifle just because they’re so lightweight.
In the video, it doesn't seem to reduce the dB level, but instead, the sound impulse seems shortened. Like the secondary reverb from the shot goes away, compared to the unsuppressed shots.
So at the shooters ear, it is a bit easier to take. It’s not as sharp and painful but more of a pop. Idk if that makes sense. It’s something you really need to hear in person to go “ohhhh ok”😂
I’m not 100% sure, haven’t tested that yet since I don’t have a safe way to do so. I will guess that it probably won’t be the best option, I would lean you towards a suppressor for that purpose
@@Brykk I'm looking for the same purpose. As far as I can tell, even a suppressor, in close quarters is gonna be loud. Really loud. I'm not doing the whole NFA bs so I'll probably go with one of these. I guess a reduction of ~ 11db, which I've seen them rated at, is better than nothing. 🤷🏻♂️
You telling us you're demonstrating a device and you got music in the background? How unprofessional can you be?I'm quite sure you'll get a lot of comments just like this
Lmao. Luckily most people heard me say why I had the music going, plus I don’t claim to be a professional so if someone thinks I’m unprofessional, they’re right.
