She’s not used to me being the old fashioned gentleman who still opens doors or pulls out the chair or help with her coat but it will soak in. I won’t stop being myself. Why is he quoting "worldy" music about cheating when he was just shixing on Beyonce? I build my husband up when he needs it, but I also offer constructive criticism when he asks for it. Nobody should be torn down. However, nobody who really loves you will be a "yes man" all the time either. Its a balance.

Do you notice the difference in the music he is referencing to the music Beyonce' promote? I remember the song "Clean-up Woman" from my youth. It wasn't filthy, but told about these females out there. They don't want a male in their home, but would gladly entertain a husband reject of his wife. You have them out there today willing to be a baby-mama, but too much a whore to be a wife. She entangles the male in a web of drama, he can't ever be in a stable relationship with a good female. Consider the parable in the message, "husbands; stay home. Wives; give your husbands a good reason to come home and stay close to it."

As God-fearing, born-again, loving the Truth of God's Word, and having a couple of years COGIC background, I really admire Bishop Wooden. But I have to strongly disagree with him using a secular Betty Wright song, that was written by men during her time, to prove a Biblical point. This is not an effective way to disciple men. Sure, it keeps women in line - which is classic in American Christian dome. But once again, husbands are given some sort of pass to commit a specific sin - by not directly addressing the sin of adultery (regardless of the reason for that sin). There is no valid reason whatsoever for each spouse to sin against one another in any way. A pastor who knows that Bible like this bishop does should know that. I have a problem with rebuking people in diabolic sins like Beyonce and the cast / audience of Color Purple and don't address the sin of husbands' adulteries when opportunity emerges while mentioning circumstances that tempt them.
Patriarchal societies have a hierarchy based on male dominance and superiority therefore they scapegoat the people who are weaker as the problem , women. Jesus didn’t scapegoat the woman caught in adultery thrown at His feet by the men who were in authority, instead He asked for a sinless person to throw the first stone. He did not side with the patriarchs who perpetuated male superiority. Jesus was not going to condemn just the woman but also the man who was just as guilty.

Males and female have a charge which Our father will hold them accountable. Listen to the message of the duties of husbands and wives to secure their home from outside deception.
