I COULD NOT AGREE MORE WITH THIS LIST OMG. I really appreciate that you guys take the time to relocate ingame to fit the topic. I hate it when people just run around the commons or some other boring place while yapping around.
I would put ice above storm and balance for new players. Ik its trash but for new players it's better than questing with those. Storm because of low health and accuracy. Balance because of low blades and no prisms. Ice you have high survivability and your blades are decent enough to get your damage up on par or better with balance plus it has prism. Everything else I agree with
I just started the game as a life. I did research and knew immediately how to get archmastery and rat spin and about the Kookaburra. So I had two four pip aoes and my experience was smooth. I also didn’t know how fast the game could be so it didn’t hurt. Then when it came to soloing the game, life came in clutch with regenerate spam and Forest lord later and things became plenty easy.
SHEEEESH myth wizards rise UP!! Nah fr though, glad to see some love for the Myth School. I really do agree with this list! I started a life wizard right after maxing my myth (at the time) and she's still stuck in Empyrea. Life and Death really need an early game AOE that ISNT locked behind a paywall and a stupid game mechanic. MYTH ON TOP (Plus! Minions help a good bit early game!)
Only issue myth has is that orthrus is literally the best spell you get, even the shadow hits are weaker than it, so the gameplay is just orthrus spam from 48 all the way to 160
yeah but at least othrus is stupidly overpowered. And the myth shadow spell removes shield before hitting so there’s a lot of use cases that make it the better option as opposed to othrus, especially for bosses that use shield cheats.
I made my ice main back in 2012 and it made me love the game. I actually liked that you had to be strategic with your gameplay instead of just spamming. It's also very forgiving for new players since you don't really die, even if you make a ton of mistakes.
honestly this vid really just hammers home a couple things for me 1. they really shouldn't of added arch mastery pips to the lore spells, or at the very least let people start getting the chance to gain arch master pips the second they are able to start getting power pips. Personally i would of just left out the arch pips from the lore spells but honestly either way would be better then how it is right now. 2. they really should just let players train rat spin (life AOE spell) and ship of fools/deer knight (preferablly i'd like both to be trainable naturally but either one is fine personally) regularly like any other 4 pip AOE. The fact every other school in the game has and can naturally train there 4 pip AOE from there school trainer and yet both life AND death not only don't naturally get there only 4 pip AOEs from there teachers, they also either have to unlock them threw spellements or just automatically getting it threw packs in the crown shop AND EVEN THEN there locked behind an arch mastery pip and you will more then likely get the spell well past the stage a 4 pip AOE would normally be useful. (granted some 4 pip AOEs are still useable/decent but thats besides the point)
Archmastery makes sense to me. You shouldn’t be able to use Deer Knight or Rat Spin etc. super early on, though I really think it should be like level 30 though. Having to wait until damn near arc 2 to even use it is a tad bit ridiculous.
i'd say death should be more up there in the best school because they can heal you back and do damage at same time.. but otherwise yeah the major drawback is death not getting an aoe until later compared to other classes
I mostly agree, but my main issue with this take is that a new player is gonna see all the minion spells Myth gets that get real underpowered real quick and they might get disappointed or frustrated. Other than that, surprisingly, Myth takes it 😂
It was a crisp 2010 morning and I stumbled across this game called wizard101. Took the test. Told me I was an Ice Character. Ice is my highest level wizard. I've regretted it ever since.
i remember playing wizard101 for the first time in 2010.. i also got ice.. got to like level 10 or so.. didn't like it and switched to death.. my death wizard is my highest level wizard.. i have not regretted it since
@3:38 POV: You pick Life and Death as your first Wizards to quest into Celestia. The Fire, Storm, and Myth quest exp has been SO MUCH MORE convenient! Poor life.. Death has drains & Feint.
Lol back when i started my first wizard in 2010, i made an ice. Was my first lvl 50 wizard. Dragonspyre was horrible to solo quest through at the time.
I love this take. I made my myth as my 5th school and stopped at lvl 100 for pvp. But as a beginner myth is just more of a “FUN” school for what the game is.
I think Balance is the worst solo school. Its stats and blades give it the lowest dps in the game (ice will outdamage it on average due to balance blade being only 25% whereas ice has a 35 blade plus a triblade). Plus having to deal with balance type enemies, and especially multiple balance type enemeis in a fight are extremely awkward since balance does not get a prism till like level 100. So you're pretty much forced to only use spectral blast and hit them one at a time. Balance is perfectly fine when not solo, but from personal experience having gotten to at least arc 2 on all 7 schools Balance has been a miserable experience to solo (for death and life I made pets to bypass the aoe problem)
Biggest factor here is if you'll be playing in a team or going solo most often. My first wiz was a myth but my team kept dying so I made a life. Hands down, no other school even comes close, Death is the best if you mostly play solo, or if you play in a team.
Ngl I’ve started on storm recently and had storm over a decade ago when i first played and loved it both times but now im lvl 45+ i get what you mean about the dying my godddd
