Its a 1-off game. Its not going to "die" like an mmo will. You can get a few hours out of this game and be done. Nowhere near the level of "job" that wiz is or pirate will be
Ravenwood itself looks nice but the dialogue ui is ugly. I probably won't be too interested in it unless it's really cheap. More single player games in the future could be cool though
They should just make 101 a real free-to-play game instead of the scam they have been running for years calling it a free-to-play game. The only thing free is the newbie first zone.
free to PLAY. meaning free to download lmao. memberships are their main source of money. if you dont like it dont play. companies like making money, shocking right? nobody likes it but thats how companies make money, deal with it
you can already tell they're running low on budget and asking for this game to be fully f2p is dumb. that's how they get their money. if w101 goes f2p, this game will die immediately.

Its a cool project but I don't think it'll do anything for KI long term. I don't see people paying a lot for this game and I don't think the connection between the 2 games (this and Wizard101) will spark an increase in playerbase that will be noticeable, but who knows maybe it won't flop and be amazing for KI
I wonder about the monetisation.... Surely this won't be a live service/mmo game. So i assume it would be a one time purchase? If it was a one time purchase and it would just be an offline adventure set in the wizard101 world, i would definitely be interested.
Is it just me or are the graphics for Ravenwood Academy the exact same as the graphics used for Wizard101..? I understand reusing assets to cut costs and save time, but polishing over old content to sell as a brand new game seems pretty wrong if you ask me. I’m not convinced that this couldn’t of just been a Wizard101 expansion yet. Ofc, we have barely seen any gameplay so that is a judgement I’ll wait to make!
Looks cool and I hope it does great but I'm gonna keep my expectations in check. Knowing KingsIsle there's a good chance this could end up sucking ass.
At the very least its nice that pirate101 is getting something for updates. I think if Pirate101 was more profitable then there would be more updates; but its the sad life of business and what is profitable is what gets attention.
@@Goomay The worst part is the recent update was teased to be "a world sized update", and it only ended up being a ported in dungeon and items, I guess the new powers on the gear are cool. I wish pirate101 could just be remade by fans, but that's obviously never going to happen
The gear in the game is exclusive (aka not currently in wiz) so maybe we could get it in the real game by playing through X point of the steam game. That would be awesome!
I will never take anyone serious when they complain about graphics when Mincraft exists (not trying to slander MC) Wiz just needs to make the content good and include a GOOD story to go along with it. Edit: I think my bias against minecraft was showing lol. However, I don't play wiz for its realism, I've always thought the art was cute, which is in part why I play. What I'm saying is plenty of people don't play minecraft due to the artstyle or any other game for that matter. Though saying a game is garbage because of the artstyle it chooses isn't a valid criticism in my book. Thus I will never say minecraft is bad, because that would be a horrible take, but just saying you're not a fan of the art should be the end of the critique, it has no bearing on the actual game.
Yeah word-not really comparable to a game made of pixel art, thats like comparing wiz to stardew valley... but I do agree, people got no reason to complain about the graphics here like its easily a step up from the actual game and people find a reason to complain I don't get it :(
Fr, imagine knee capping Pirate because of a bunch of failed mobile games that it had nothing to do with then coming out with this thing. Pirate could probably get a notable bump in subs if they actually bothered with a real update.
The pirate team, this team, and the wizard team are 99% mutually exclusive. Also pirate101 is getting content updates more frequently than wiz at this point; got a world and morganthe confirmed for the next update like what more do y'all want 💀💀💀💀😭
@@Goomay Valencia 2 was added 7 years ago, the level cap is STILL 70, the 4k support is broken and unfinished, a bunch of QoL system updates that happened in Wiz hasn't happened in Pirate 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀look at me spam skull emojis I must be so right cause I spammed the skull emojis 🙄Oh and just because the teams are separate doesn't mean management couldn't have triaged resources into the Pirate team; They are separate TEAMS, NOT SEPARATE STUDIOS.
Yeah its not really for the sake of getting outreach, but I think its moreso for the dedicated wizheads who like the lore and stuff. I don't think it would be a big hitter on steam for example
@pikapat321 not what i said. After seeing the gameplay, you could guess how intricate this game would be. Most people will not bother playing it. With that said, even though nobody has played it or even knows exactly when it will be released, that game probably has a couple of more hours until it dies. If you didnt reply to my comment i would have never thought about this.
