For the castform hitting Sealio, I theorise it works because the pokemon that gets targeted is out of control as well. It’s possibly a very low percentage but it seems like it would work seeing as it’s an option when battling in normal pokemon.

This made me think of Dragon Warrior Monsters. You can give your monsters specific commands or general ones (Charge, Mixed, or Cautious). If they were still pretty feral, they would often ignore your commands and either take a defensive posture or attack according to their personality instead.

I absolutely love Hoenn. It’s my personal canon “homeland”, since it’s where I’ve spent my longest and first full playthrough (if you don’t count my shared playthrough in crystal where my sister and I took turns playing). I still have that game cartridge and all my Pokemon from that first playthrough and I go back and visit from time to time and casually try to catch Latios. Yeah I haven’t caught him yet. Don’t have a master ball anymore, my cousin used it on a low level Pokemon and saved my game to prank me 😢

This had some legitimately clever moves in it. That trick to allowing you to get Regice was a cool idea, echoing the hidden code sort of method to finding them in the game originally. I would love to see John's reaction to this run. :D (Or Wolfey's since he comes up in the video too.)

0:58 I hated the Battle Frontier and this was one of the reasons why. The Battle Palace. Now that I'm older, i wanna take on the Frontier again now that i know how the mechanics works, but yeah the Palace sucks and the fact that an actual strategy demands you know how the statistics works is just ugh unfair. Glad Mikey is doing this video in an era when he doesn't have to rush to get this video out bc its a long one
