The Real After Party's Bootleg Kev & DJ Damage sat down and talked to WizKid. They talked his musical journey, being from Africa, working with Drake, he also announced an upcoming collab project with Ty Dolla Sign, and much more! Peep!
I wonder why people in America especially think that Africa is just a jungle full of wild animals (no pun intended).... we do have cities clubs freeways too here... shout out to Wiz for telling dude not to be ignorant.
listen yall probably dont know about wizkids popularity, but lets put it this way.......... he was my screen savers for a steady 6 months lol i lived in gambia and theres literally no party where wizzy isnt blasted unfortunately, from the outside his impact is minimised because the whole african continent hasnt been able to fully monetize music
"the whole african continent hasnt been able to fully monetize music". And that is the crux of the matter. We need to actively get on that. Because it's looking like Music could actually be one of our biggest economies if we setup the infrastructure properly.
one thing I like about this dude is, he's always high like Jesus, another thing is, he's humble though cos even at his level he feels he's a nobody. Wizkid keep smoking weed and give us more music bro.
Currency honestly I think he need to bag down on getting high and focus on making better music, don't let Chris / Drake or whom ever he's around f you up.
Currency so you believe he should fuck up his career and start something harder? I'm not sure why you ask me this I have said what I believe, I don't drink or smoke but to whom do it's ok every once in while but not all the time not while working.
AtlantaGa24 he prolly realized Drake a culture vulture. Dude didn't even feature him in one dance video or appear in Wizkid's video. It's pretty messed up cos he got a lot of flack for it back home. People made fun of him.
@EZE THE GREAT I reside in Nigeria Bro, to me its Here not there... so am tellings you dat you can't for any reason compare Drake and Wizkid in the club, wat are we even talking about?
Heard him mention BURNA , R2Bees and a couple other names and this is not the first interview I've seen him do this , every where he goes if given the chance , he always wants the world to know about BURNA ... that's TRUE FRIENDSHIP ❤️
I love how Wizky responds to interviews'stupid questions like 'what he thinks about Drake jacking style' like 'Man I dont talk about other artist's plates...' good answer
Nana Kwame What's next is we continue to break through and reach more audiences. Especially an audience who haven't been to introduced to this type of music yet. Can you imagine little kids in middle America and pop culture embracing our music. It would open the door for more Nigerian Artist. The sky is the limit.
Good interview.... buh my take is: anytime our stars get interviewed like this it should be a chance to educate people out here. Let them know there are other hot guys out there. When you on top pull others up, when the focus is on you, let it be a chance for you to shine the light on others.
People say he didn't go to the university, he's proud, rude and so on. But this is not the guy am seeing, coz he looks down to earth, jovial and interactive. Keep doing ur thing dear, unique interview all the same. I wish I watched it earlier or even live, well done guy
They didn't get his sarcasm at all . and i hated that the guy kept calling him care free. The word is free spirited . you think care free would get him to where he is today ?
No, let's not be ignorant now. He isn't called WizKids for nothing. He is super smart like a typical Nigerian and doesn't want OK be boxed up as just a Nigerian artiste. But he is actually the biggest artiste out of Africa
Unprofessional interview from both DJs. Interviewing a global star ⭐️ like Wizkid and not asking educative and serious questions. Ignorance is not an excuse, how can u ask if mask off is played in 9ja clubs! What the heck do u take Africans for?
No he was trying not to be uneasy don’t get it twisted, the Americans made him feel very uneasy, this is why he is at ease in Nigeria 🇳🇬 because he is home and feels better. # Wizkid may need to get someone to show him how to do interviews so he won’t be uneasy and talk right 😮
I'm American but these guys are very ignorant how they see Africa, and I hate Drake I'm sick of hearing of him, and these guys act like they couldn't go on the internet and learn a little about Wizkid before the interview would have been better then Drake every other minute.
