Memorable experience taking the budget Jeep onto the Walker Valley Trail. $700 Zone offroad 4 Inch Lift $70 Rough country quick disconnect sway bar links 33x12.5 inch Cooper Evolution M/T
Great video! Does your jeep have the veri- lock system? Are you using the stock front drive shaft? I love watching yourwj because I have one just like it only stock, but a 4 inch zone lift has been ordered!!
Thanks! Yes, it has the vari-lock system (Quadra Drive). I swapped the front drive shaft from a rzeppa style to a double cardon for better strength, which is also found on a lot wj's so I just pulled it off of one. That's awesome! The lift is great for the money, the only thing I wish was stronger were the bushings inside the front lower control arm that are part of the kit. The bushings tend to come out during an extreme flex. I'm thinking to upgrade them soon.
Haha dope, I got an 01 limited v8 Quadra drive w/ double cardan. I already pimped her out with lightbars roof rack, winch mount in the stock front bumper. F*ck it, it has 111k miles so why not. Just need a bigger lift. Bout to get the zone 4” lift soon. Probably getting the IRO control arms tho. I just found a 247 Tcase might just slap that in aswell. Quick question, should I upgrade to the fox shocks or are the zone shock decent enough for awhile. And if you have any other advice lmk. Would luv hear brobro. WJLYFE 4 EVER (until you blow ur engine) lol
Nice! Yeah i had to upgrade the control arms on my Zone lift kit as well. The fox shocks are probably way better, but i never tried them out so I wouldn't be able to compare but the zone ones aren't too bad either.. I would also recommend on getting sway bar quick disconnects, they completely change the offroad experience as the front axles moves way more freely and you get way more articulation.
@@epicpnwadventures oh ok. Ya the zone shocks are basically BDS and BDS are made by Fox so they should definitely survive like the rest. The zone kit comes with front lower control arms right? Which ones did you replace? I got sum quick disconnects already. There perfect for my type of wheelin.
Congrats on the Jeep! Those are some low miles! Honestly, it depends on your budget and your plans for it. If you want decent offroad capabilities for cheap price than the rough country 4 inch lift for around $700 is pretty good or the zone lift kit that I'm currently running which was also around the same price..
Do you still have the rear sway bar in that rig? These can't run a true 33" tire on a 4" lift without tons of cutting and relocating the washer bottle. Also should have done lockers before the rest but you'll probably have to get non vari-loc carriers first.
Yes I do still have the rear sway bar. Yeah a ton of cutting for sure. But so far love it. The varilocks are definitely better than having open diffs but eventually want to upgrade to elockers.
