It does drive super weird hey😵💫 I think it has something to do with those metal/cast bumpers, they are actually quite heavy, feel like actual steel😳 10% alloy content maybe😂
The deal breaker is the lag in the throttle response. Thought they fixed it with the new style controller. Thanks for the great video and stopping me from buying another wl toys with this problem
Yes that dead spot in the throttle is a little annoying but honestly, for the price this car is EASILY one of the best options in my opinion, then I would just get a cheap DumboRC radio system for like $50aud and you now have a flawless buggy with zero delay and still very affordable👌
I have a front swing arm keeps popping off too. It's split at the seems but having so many of these wltoys, I have plenty spares. Not a bad little buggy. It does not share the same gears as the other buggies. They are smaller but will be upgraded with the motor. Tried to swap motor and broke a screw head. Carbon fiber motor mount coming soon...
Yes these new cars seem to have slightly weaker swingarms or maybe because the car is rather heavy. No the spur and pinion are mod0.6 now which is awesome, was so hard to find different sized mod0.7 gears. I also snapped a screw head off the motor, swapped it out already, that will be in the next video. But yes very cool little car👌
No not many people would have AAA on hand all the time, most of us have a hord of AA😅 The proprietary lipo doesn't bother me as the plug on the esc can be easily moved to accommodate basically any lipo that will fit in the tray. And the battery hold down is great in my opinion, it's not a 1/8 basher or something like that so it's more that strong enough, a bit of foam if your lipos are a little small👌
This RC looks like it borrowed a lot of parts from the MJX Hyper Go RC trucks and buggies, side skirts, front bumper, driveshafts, chassis, battery ... Love your video on this one, thanks!
Thanks mate🤘 Yes 100% inspired by the MJX but I still for some reason like the HBX 16889 more or more specifically the LCG version, the Eachine EC30😍 I think it's the light weight factor, just so nimble compared to the newer chassis versions. I love all of them really😆
@@rccrazy The biggest let-down for me on the MJX's is the rubbish transmitter and receiver, the HBX 16889A and 16889A PRO has a much better radio than the MJX. What is up with that adjuster button on the MJX transmitter that when you turn it the car flies forward without the forward/reverse lever being touched, AND if you adjust it the other way, the car has no reverse?! ☹ I am still struggling with this, the car keeps having a delay or a total cutout when I push the speed lever to reverse it. The brake is also very harsh, if I brake it from high speed on a dry surface the car flips over, a lot of fun if you want to destroy the body quickly! 🤣 Good thing though that the ESC and receiver are seperate, Dumborc TX/ RX ...
Thank you😁 No bent shafts just the broken arm. I'm sure I'll bend a shaft or break something major at some stage though😅 Diffs are my main concern, still stock, no oil in them at all I don't think.
Hello, good video.. Thank you... For this model wl 124008, which battery do you recommend to have more life and power without damaging the equipment? Thank you, pending your reply.
Thank you very much! I have only tried Ovonic 2200mah 2s and I think I tried CNHL 1800mah 3s aswell. They both fit great so I guess most 2200 2s and 1800 3s should fit👌
C rating is how much current or amps the battery can safely provide continuously. Basically low C rating will give you OK punch and decent run time but the higher C ratings will give you better punch but for a shorter amount of time. All depends how punchy you want your car but anything from 25C and up should be fine👌
Depends if you want a alloy chassis or plastic chassis as they both have most of the same components apart from the chassis and shock towers really. I personally prefer the plastic chassis version, the 018
Glad it came with a 3s battery!! Where I live ( usa ) there is a mandatory dog leash law- really helps me out because the puppers love to bite the wheels off my cars! 🙈🤣 Great video‼️👍👍🦾🦾
Yes it's fantastic it comes with a 3s, it would probably only do 35kph on 2s anyway😆 We do have laws that say you can't have your dog of the leash but this is a off leash dog park, dogs have the right of way here😅 The owners really need to show a little respect though and pick up after their dogs, it's getting absolutely disgusting💩🤮 Thanks Dome!
Good video. Nice bash session. It definitely seems like a decent little car. I don't think most people, especially younger ones, would ever notice the low throttle lag. They will go full throttle from the start.
It is not metal it is more like cast alloy so it is rather weak unlike the good brands that use real 7075 or 6061 alloy. Plastic flexed and goes back into place, if alloy or steel is not good quality it will bend and stays bent.
I can not say for sure as I do not have the 007. But in my experience anything over 60kph is more than enough for off-road. If all you want is speed as in upgrading to go very fast then I would suggest just getting a brushed 124019 and building your own speedrun car
Great video mate! I have a dilemma for my next rc between Wltoys 124017 V2 and MJX 16210. Im looking for overall speed, durability and off-road performance.
Thank you👍 Out of the 2 you mentioned I would definitely go the MJX, I love the older wltoys cars for speedruns but not really bashing, not the strongest drivetrain for bashing.
