Dalton Belflower There aren't that many actresses I would classify as beautiful. But I have to confess Maureen O'Hara was truly a beautiful woman. She also had a very fun and maybe slightly eccentric personality (no doubt from her Irish heritage!)
As my sainted Irish grandfather said while swinging his shillelagh to knock the crown off that English piece of fith Elizabeth, she-wolf to those predatory child molesting sons, "All Irish women are beautiful"
Maureen O'Hara ; The most beautiful red-head to ever grace God's green earth. She was absolutely stunning in beauty , character , and grace. We will never see the likes of her again, she was one of a kind and thank God for film and the technology to preserve it so we can always watch you whenever we choose to see beauty ,brains and integrity. God Rest your soul great lady.
@z There were a lot of gorgeous Red-Heads during the 40's and 50's Jeanne Crain, Deborah Kerr, Arlene Dahl, Rhonda Fleming, Susan Hayward but Maureen was Tops IMO,
Maureen O'Hara was the most gorgeous, stunning woman of her time. Absolutely beautiful, talented, and good-natured. No one compares. Can't believe she never won an Oscar.
Gosh, I know that people consider Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Lana Turner, Betty Grable, etc were the gorgeous women of this time but I would include Maureen O'Hara with them. She is flawless!
I love it when Martin Gabel stands up and kisses his wife's hand when she makes the correct guess. I know a lot of people wonder how a gorgeous woman like Arlene Francis could marry the less-than-enormously handsome Martin Gabel, but they were both witty, erudite and intelligent and they obviously really had something going with each other. Hooray for love!
My best friend was shopping at The May Company in the woman's department and Ms. O'Hara was right across from her looking at clothes. My friend said she was the most beautiful woman she had ever seen...
Eliz. Taylor was asked in a interview years ago who she thought was the prettiest movie star.......she said Maureen O'Hara.......now that's a compliment from the top in Hollywood glamour ....Rest in Peace Ms. Taylor and Ms. O'Hara ........
This is one of those warm, wonderful moments when you felt like your watching old friends playing a party-game for their own amusement. The classic line-up of Arlene, Martin Dorothy and Bennett. So long ago....
Stunning beauty !! She was a great friend to my absolute favorite actor, John Wayne. Wish we had women like this today !!! Beautiful, classy, smart, tough, talented, great all around !!!
If you loved her in "The Parent Trap", then you'll love her in "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and "Only the Lonely" alongside John Candy. If you haven't seen those two movies yet, I highly recommend them.
Maureen O Hara, has been and will be my favorite movie star actress and singer from Ireland, i simply love her, and as you can see from this youtube clip from whatès My Line, she is so very beautiful and gorgeous such a wonderful woman and has a great personality and such elegance and worldly charm and sophistication... She is the best there is and her movies too are fantastic, see her in The Parent Trap. The Black Swan and many more of her television and movie projects, she will always be so lovely and so talented, and her singing is amazing as well.... thank you for this episode of Maureen O Hara on WML... was so enjoyable and so lovely to see her here.... thanks so very much, a very loyal and faithful fan of Maureen O Hara s for always, Ruthie Zaballero
You'd have to walk a long, long way in this world to find a more stunningly gorgeous woman. or a better or more intense actress. Those eyes and that smile... simply devastating. I don't expect younger folks to be aware of the magnitude of today's news, but this marks the passing of a huge, huge star.
Maureen O'Hara is beautiful here..a natural beauty.... when I look at today's stars and even the young girls in all corners of the world who rush to get their looks "enhanced" by cosmetic surgery, they do not hold a candle to the natural beauty of women that enthralled Hollywood of old
"The Quiet Man" was just released in a restored, incredibly glorious restored Blu-Ray version. Maureen O'Hara simply blows the screen away in that film. She is certainly one of the most spectacularly beautiful women ever to have lived. Her face reflects such intelligence and character --- truly she is one of a kind among screen stars.
To Seafree - Thank you for uploading this WML - Maureen O'Hara. Just a bit of information My Mother looked like Maureen O'Hara when she was young and could have passed for her sister. I always felt she was one of the most beautiful women in the Movies.. Must be the Irish Charm.. I would love to visit Ireland some day.
Now she is just stunningly beautiful! On top of that Maureen O'Hara is a great actress and one of my favorites! The Quiet Man being one of my favorites!
Maureen O'Hara was such an attractive lady. Enjoyed her roles with John Wayne. No wonder why John said in McClintock that she puts the burr under his saddle! Ms O'Hara beauty was undeniable and unmatched.
Mr. Daly looked like he needed to have a bucket of cold water dumped in his lap after she whispered in his ear ;-) ...hee hee, cute... gotta love this old stuff.
What a beauty! I watch 'The Quiet Man' and 'The Parent Trap' whenever they are on television. When Mr. Cerf asked "are you an American girl by birth"? She said yes, that threw the panel off I am sure.
In 1998, Maureen O'Hare made a lovely Hallmark movie, "The Christmas Box" also starring Richard Thomas & Annette O'Toole. You can find it online and it's worth it. Also get the prequil, "Timepiece", not with the previous cast, but it has James Earl Jones. It tells the story of the Mureen O'Hara character in her early life.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
