Besides the price of the stuff, that's why you won't see any display steamers with coal still in the tenders. It eats through the tender deck! Gary has, in whole or in part, been a MAJOR player in the restoration of many steam locomotive projects and is currently lending his expertise to the T1 Trust building PRR 5550. Keep up the good work...contributions like yours are what draws awareness to and keeps the story of great locomotives like 1409 going.
pointsjammed you may notice that she wears whistles from a PRR T1 and sometimes N&W A class or N&W Y6bs except they don't do the sqeak which is Norfolk and Western tradition As for PRR T1 she wears it to raise awareness of PRR T1 5550 being rebuild by the T1 Trust to raise money to complete her
