Dang what a full cab of people....engineer seat, 1 standing out the engineer side cab opening, 2 seating at the firemans side, one shoveling the firebox, one and shoveling from the tender pile...

It pains me that they'll probably never get to open up 1309 this fast because of the GAP trail.

@4freespeech Look at 0:22 and see them on. The speed was to make up time. It's done that way.

@stevelerro I guy working for sure....see the safety lift as the locomotive goes by the camera. Let's see, 19 years ago, engineer, mechanic firing, newly qualified fireman hanging out gangway, head brakeman pushing coal, 2 cab riders with 1 being the son of mechanic "Cape Fear" then 12 years old and did the first paint job on the locomotive and 1 other. It was so long ago....a different time....at times, real fun!
