So the question to women is, if you were raped would you fight to get someone convicted. Or does your cause have a price? Also, it doesn't necessarily mean he did it either. He could have just paid the money because he didn't want the negative publicity that came with it. Also, this was many years ago. He had been working on improving as a man over the years and its wrong to tarnish him with this one alleged mistake. Don't for a second let people convince you that he did it. We don't know, the woman got paid and he went on to become a better person. Above all else, he is no longer alive to defend himself. He didn't have multiple allegations like most people accused and/or convicted of rape. She wasn't just talking as a "mourning friend," though. She was trying to leverage WNBA support by painting him as this great supporter of women. Gayle just pointed out that holding someone around the throat and over a chair against the will doesn't qualify as the kind of support women need or want.

That's my point. Interviewing her was like interviewing Kobe's lawyer. You know nothing bad is going to be said. Gayle is very intelligent. People just don't get it.
