Graces have been here since Nioh. Clarification. I didn't know they could be on 4s gear, and lots of people don't, yes, still. So please, be kind. If you already did, good, you can disregard.
Omg. I wanted to love this game I enjoyed my first playthrough and struggled a lot in new game plus almost made it all the way through and then put it down until all 3 DLC’s had released and jumped back in and was still not having fun getting absolutely deleted by bosses in one or two hits and this albeit very tedious just completely changed everything about the game for me. The fact that some of these bonuses don’t even require full sets just a piece or two is insane. Thank you.
I've pretty much keep all 4* and 5* gear that have set bonuses on them so I should hopefully still have it in the storehouse. Currently farming 5* Lu bu gear and it's kind of hard farming it off of demon Lu bu since I don't have a luck-wizardry build but I hope I'll be able to get the virtues on side gear so I can get double set bonuses.
I was so set on looking for 5 Star stuff that I missed the grace sets.....luckily I saw it earlier and it was just when I found a fantastic piece that will fir my debuff build.
@@rpjames8 I've salvaged quite a lot of gear when I was fighting the big monkey boy so I probably destroyed quite a few grace pieces but, oh well. Today I'm going to farm the hell out of him and hope for the best :D
Saw another video that said the exact same things you're saying here and i have to say as someone who's been farming Zhuyan nearly 200 times over the course of a week trying to get a full set of 5 star gear for "Subtlety Of Wood Phase" and STILL haven't gotten a pair of gloves or boots with the skill, my pain is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Well at least farming the damned monkey'll be easier now that im not trying to look out for 5 star kit...
Another thing about this game I found very confusing is the sets bonus? is it me or is the set count off? how is two pieces of gear with the same set bonus count only as one set bonus? even with 5 peices of a set bonus you still can't get the 5th bonus of the set with out having 6 peices???
The I, II, III, IV, V are tiers not the time count. So the tier # + 1 is the number of pieces you need. Why would wearing one item of a set give you a bonus?
The drop rates are so piss poor in NG+ that it’s not worth doing anything but the monkey boss. Cleared up through chapter 5 and not a single mythic and barely any Legendaries. If your going to farm , make a water build with high luck and spam kill the monkey with the blizzard skill
The graces have been around since nioh, in addition, you can find "set item mitigation" very rarely on 4 or 5 star gear. There is a chest in the "centuries of glory burned away" mission that always gives 4 star bows with graces on them.
I realized this when i first farm the monkey, got a 4star warlock stuff drop and it have the lingbao grace, since then i always carefully checking my 4* gear Now i completed all of the grace set available in NG+ but i never see it on a 3* gear so i think its only in 4* and 5*
You still want 5* gear. But you want 5* gear with graces. 4* stuff isn't useless but it's not nearly as useful as 5* that's an extra 6 effects you can have on your gear. That in of itself is enough to pass over 4* stuff.
Not to mention the gear system is identical to that of the Nioh games... 4* may be good now but that 5* will be mandatory when NG+2 drops in the dlc. Every Nioh game had 3 dlcs and increased the level cap/ added an additional new game + higher rarity gear every dlc to have a total of 4 new game cycles and 8 tiers of gear rarity. So let them do what they want. They'll hit NG+2 and get so confused as to why they're getting flattened.
@Brandon Boudreaux I haven't played either of the nioh games, so I'm new to their system. Question: I'm still in my first playthrough in act 5. Should I salvage 3*, save/farm for 4* to help in NG+? As for the the grace bonuses (subtlety bonuses), and the normal set bonuses, is one ideally better than the other for endgame (I'm assuming NG+ for now)? System is new and different for me, so I'm just trying to have some level of understanding. Ty in advance.
@Naser the graces are pretty new, but the subtlety of wood looks epic af as far as graces go idk what the others are/do. But yes you'd want to deck your toon out in 4* gear for ng + the bonuses are better pretty sure the flat defenses are better too. Basically every ng cycle will have you getting that next star. So when the dlc drops, 5* gear is required while 6+* will start to drop.
@@vincereese2997 the subtlety bonuses do look mighty spicy 👌 👀 I'm curious if the normal set bonuses are below the grace ones. 🤔 I'll have to keep an eye out, but at least I have an idea on what I'm looking for (o think) haha
Additional this 4☆ items, somethiems get 5 line of skill ability like real 5☆ and more important 》》 this 4☆ have uniq perk 》》 mitigation, item with this is automaticly part of set you like !!! And for last, 3☆ accesories have better chance too get passive skill like HP regen with melee hit or diffrend best effect. Enjoy all.
Have you noticed any armor or weapons that are missing effects? I have a 4 star not set bonus weapon, with no grace, that only has 3 effects/emmbedments. I have also seen this in several pieces of armor. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this, possibly a bug?
i noticed all my 5 star random pieces have a grace or majesty or what else so probably farming all random 5 star pieces u will ending compliting all of them so u can make every build u want
Sorry buddy but I have ben saving my 4 star gear, But only the 4 star gear with set bonuses. I play this game just like I did nioh 2 when it comes to making different builds.
I’ve been farming grace gear since the start of ng+, I haven’t progressed at all.. don’t know if it’s only me having this issue though but I’ve got 6 pieces of a grace set but when I equip it all the 6th set bonus isn’t activating.. I’ve currently got 2 full grace sets but the 6th set bonus just doesn’t seem to be working
5 star stuff doesn't just give you one extra effect... It also increases the amount of bonus each effect gives you. You don't need 5 star gear because it was intended for you to go through ng+ with four star gear and use that four star gear to farm for the five star gear.... When the first dlc comes out and NG+2 drops .. you will need that 5 star gear. You haven't played Nioh and it really shows.
@@thiccolascage8180 lol your brain doesn't work too well does it? I your first play through. 3* was common and 4* was rare until the last two acts. You went into NG+ where 4* is now common and 5* is rare. Meaning 4* gear is the gear that was intended to get you through NG+. So now you can farm 5* gear to get ready for the NG+2 in the dlc... Where you will go through the game to get 6* gear. Where then they will release the 2nd dlc and drop NG+3 and you will use the 6* gear you got from the first dlc to go through the game and get 7* gear. This is exactly how gear was implemented in both Nioh games. There's a reason they made the 5* drop rates so low. The 6* drop rates in the dlc will more than likely be just as low if not lower. So the 5* gear you're farming now will be the gear you have to rely on to get you through the next new game cycle. Not to mention this video is wrong on more levels than one. The grace sets can be obtained in 5* drops. They aren't by any stretch of the imagination "secret armor" any armor that doesn't have an intrinsic set bonus can drop as a grace set regardless of it being a 4* or 5* Last as I said above there's two differences between 4* and 5* gear. An extra trait. And all of the bonuses are higher than they are on 4* armor. 6* and 7* gear will likely follow this trend of extra trait and bigger bonus. Not to mention the bonuses on the set bonus are higher as well. Is 4* useless compared to 5*? No not right now. But when NG+2 comes around that extra 2% you get on everything is going to make a hell of a difference in the damage you do and your survivability.
@@MoDroJoJo No. You can make a farming build to make drops more frequent. But overall the drop rate of 5* gear doesn't increase as you progress through NG+. I farmed The demon Lu bu fight on NG+ with a farming build 225 luck and the dragon with increased drop rate... I would get one or two five star drops every 2 to 3 full runs of that mission. If I wasn't running a high luck drop rate build I would have gotten one *5 about every 4 to 5 runs ...
@Brandon Boudreaux My point, is that if they didn't intend for you to get the gear, you wouldn't get it at all. Guess your brain isn't working very well right now. Yet another person, who has gotten comfortable being hostile and rude for no reason, because they are safe and cushy on the internet.
Dont think the 3star having the grace, its only in 4 and 5, or my luck just bad, i completed all of the grace set available in NG+ and never see them in the 3star
@@typicalgoodguyclub4games I currently have two 3 star weapons that have graces on them. So it can for weapons at least. Either way its worth checking your 3 starts before salvaging.
So...u saw something that has been in nioh for years and was copy pasted to wo long. Good job team ninja now how bout letting us auto restock ammo when resting or when going back to hidden village.
