This is my jam and I love this song and this group. Back in the day, we were into the zodiac signs and this song was a big time hit. You may find 1 or 2 songs or groups you will not like but I doubt it. Singers in my day worked dam hard and they had to compete with other groups as good as them. We didn't have much like they have now, marching to vote and our rights, just like they are doing today (2021 Sept). I wish we can bring back my era for just a little bit, to help calm people down with good music and dancing and love. Thanks for truly loving my music, because I did back than and loving it again.
I have always liked this song!! When I hear it now it reminds me of the scene from Fresh Prince of Belair when Jazz and Jewel get married they bop down the isle to this song❤️
Check out these songs “ You make me feel brand new”, “ Betcha by golly wow”, and “ You are Everything” by The Stylistics Also check out the group Heatwave. You will like the songs “Always & Forever”, “Boogie Nights”, and “The Groove Line”.
I so love that song. I have ever since I was a young girl. They just don't make like they use to. I want to request the commodore. The song "Still", "Sail on". If you would react to those songs I appreciate it lots. Thank you. ✌
I saw them live on stage at the Dothan Alabama back in 1978. They blew the place away with " Float On." The choreography was right on time with the music. Bring back the Old School songs that have feelings, love understanding, and respect. I was stationed at Fort Rucker Alabama at that time and Float On is still one of my favorites. Brings back good memories.
You are so very right about there isn't any groups today that perform or sing like they use to. That's why watching your reaction to music back in the day is so uplifting. It's refreshing to see a young guy like yourself enjoying it all. I recommend you react to Forever Mine or I love Music by the O Jays. Great performances and songs.
Definitely a groove. B2K did the same concept of naming their zodiak sign in "What a Girl Whats". We loved it as teenagers and I'm sure the ladies loved it when the Floaters did it too!
This took me back to Jr high with socials in the gym and sneaking in the phone talking low to a boy while he tried to be cool. Playing some gd music like this in the background. Mannn being 13&14 back in the day was so much fun. Thts why I love the Spike Lee joint Crooklyn
Twon, it was me, a while ago. I told you to make up your verse and sing it to the ladys. lol Since you said you sang and requested old black groups, a while back. I saw them on the Internet, and I thought is was cool.
Classic song right here. If you really want to see dance routes still you must see old school concerts. Most are still doing there thing just maybe a switch up on there dance routes. There is a hip hop artist thats still a live that could throw down is Big Daddy Kane but don't know if he's still doing it on tour to this day. Others i could remember that could throw down were Kid n Play & Heavy D. R.I.P. The sad thing is it's be a dieing art like what you just saw. This song was also a great song to roller skate too.
I don't agree with astrology since I'm a Christian however that was a popular conversation in the 70s and reflected in songs and movies in that era! Loved the layers of their voices! Liked your genuine reaction
Twon... THANK YOU I have been saying that EVERYONE play this song but no one ever hears me I guess if your broke as a skunk in a bunk and cant even aford your bills so you dont pay people on here your voice dont count. Just glad someone who does pay got heard on this for this song so who ever you are I thank you. Peace.
Please do some Gladys Knight and the Pips! Iconic!! You won't be disappointed!🔥🔥🔥🔥 Midnight Train To Georgia, Friendship Train, Neither One of us, Best Thing That Ever Happened, If I Were Your Woman, The list goes on!
I recommend a old SOULFUL track by the called "Hypnotize" by a lovely lady named Linda Jones....I truly believe she could've been The Queen of Soul...her music career didn't last long sadly.
Definitely, black people back then certainly knew how to construct music and perform it, unlike today: hip-hop and rap, though they have their place in the industry is comparison to heavy metal and rock - no flavour. I would have liked to have born in the late 50's just so I could enjoy this type of music instead of having to RU-vid it.
