He started out going to school to be a dancer if I remember correctly. I think in Pulp Fiction was the first time he danced on screen since way back in day.
OMG YESSSSS! If he starts going down the "musicals" road there are few I'd LOVE to see him do, in fact I've been suggesting one In particular for a while now. He should do Chicago, Grease (of course),Dirty Dancing, n I've been asking for Rocky Horror Picture Show for idk how long. That's the one I'd love to see him do a reaction to.
The 1952 musical "Singing in the Rain" warned the people about this long before Milli Vanilli came along. The music industry has been doing this for longer than most people could imagine. They just used Milli Vanilli as sacrificial scapegoats to throw the public's attention away from all their other fake singers who mime to 'live performance tracks'.
@@Music-tg5is Jesus, it’s not that serious.everyone knows lip syncing happens. The issue with Millie vanillie was they were lip syncing to vocals that weren’t their own.
For those of us at a certain age, the real shock was when we saw this actor mostly known for musicals and disco dancing shoot up heroin in a Tarantino movie.
That's exactly it! He went from Vinny Barbarino (Welcome Back, Kotter) to Pulp Fiction. I always loved his versatility as a "triple threat." Acting, singing, and dancing. He danced in at least 6 movies that I remember. It's always fun, even in a serious film.
Not really much different from today if you actually think about it, you just rarely see that side of a lot of them then when you do you remember these were probably drama class kids and all that
@@frankiebowie6174 more than you will realize, if an actor started in high school drama class, or went to college for drama, you can bet there was musical theater involved. A lof of the talent may not go to Hollywood, it goes to Broadway, but there is still plenty of it out there.
@@aaronz9410 I agree, there is a lot of talent in that age group but there aren’t many places for them to ply their trade. There aren’t many writers writing for musical comedy.
@@frankiebowie6174 what I’m saying in most actors whether you see it in there roles or not have this in their bag due to what the other guy said, high school college and even stage experience prior to film. Not speaking solely on musicals but even just their regular roles in which they may sing at some point. Prime example would be a Neil Patrick Harris, Wayne Brady etc.
I would like to see his reaction to this: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - The Danish National Symphony Orchestra (Live) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-enuOArEfqGo.html
The outfit Olivia Newton John's outfit had to be sewn to get her into it. It 6a GREAT movie & yes he is singing all the songs in the movie! They still sing that song today but there were many more he sang in the movie‼ Check it out, it's worth it💜😉
Everyone is telling you to watch Saturday Night Fever and Grease, both starring John Travolta. I suggest you do a double feature reaction to both of them in the same day! John's older sister Ellen plays a waitress in both movies.
GREASE would be the PERFECT movie for you to react to!! LEO PLEASE DO IT!! It's impossible to go through life having never seeing this perfect 50's High School movie! Yes, John is a dancer, singer, & actor. Olivia Newton John is a singer & actress. She had one of the biggest hits ever called "Lets Get Physical". Grease Grease Grease Grease Pleasssssssse!!!!
I completely 2nd this!! GREASE!!! And "Let's Get Physical" was such a big hit for Olivia!! I was just a kid so I didn't "get" what she was actually saying and the workout outfits/video were a clever cover!! lol!! ;) ;)
Yet by the release he was the much bigger name. Shelving Grease for a few months prior to the release unpredictably changed everything. They really lucked out riding the Saturday Night Fever wave!
love the SNL skit where Christopher Walken is the shop teacher who has to sub in for the play director, and he’s constantly shocked by the real lyrics from Greased Lightning: “pistons, struts and shocks, gonna get off my rocks!” or “it’s a real pussy wagon!”
He sings, dances and acts. He was in Steven Kings (original movie) Carrie. Sissy Spacek played Carrie which is a good scary movie you should check out.
Listen. Somehow I missed the hype and watched the WHOLE movie not knowing Mom was John...til the credits. Omg I was so shocked I had to watch it over right away.
A lot of people don't realize that Travolta really is very talented. He can act, sing, dance, and do all three very well, reminds me of a lot of the classic stars. He's older now so he isn't exactly hopping around the sets anymore, but yeah. Glad you enjoyed this! Great reaction!
I saw GREASE at the movie theater in the 1970’s. It’s my all time favorite “happy feel good” movie. Love seeing you youngsters checking it out & finding some sort of enjoyment from it. 👏🏽😎
Mr Video: “That was Legendary.” Me: “So was the movie. And that’s not even the best song.” Please react to Grease the Movie. I know you will love it. Absolute classic.
LEO GREASE was IN 1978 You WOULD HAVE Loved the 70s big time , YOUR BIGGEST Amount of Views of your videos are from the 70s ,, Like Black Betty , By Ram Jam Was 1977 ,, LEO check out THE SONG GREASE LIGHTING from this MOVIE ,, Youl laugh your butt off John sings and dances ,,, YOU WILL THANK ME
Definitely need to watch Saturday Night Fever if you liked this…and his aerobics scenes in Perfect. Oh, and Stayin’ Alive, for sure. Terrible movie, but that dance production…
YES that's John Travolta! This is why he's famous and has been for a long, long time. He was raised on the Broadway stage. The world got to know John when he starred as "Vinnie Barbarino" on "Welcome Back Kotter" in the 1970's. Watch "Grease".
Yep John Travolta and Harrison Ford are regulars 8n Wichita KS. They come here when they are doing stuff for their pilots licence. See them around town and in target shopping!
You never heard of OUR, Australia’s sweetheart, oh no, so welcome to the hit GREASE movie. You’ love so many of the other songs, right down your alley, as we say.
I started laughing from my belly and the depths of my soul when he brought up Milli Vanilli. I had to stop the video, make this comment and show mad love for how this brother is always making me laugh. I’m definitely watching his Milli Vanilli reaction next out of respect. I’m still laughing my ass off.
You have to watch him in “Greased Lightning,” another song and dance number from this movie. Travolta started out in sitcoms (Welcome Back Kotter) and did several movies while he was still on the tv show.
What? Yes John is singing “hats off to him” Olivia, such a beautifully talented singer. They were the “duo” in the day! ❤️ Your a delightful reactor. I laugh every time!! Thanks for that!😆
Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Urban Cowboy and some small amount of dancing in Pulp Fiction and Michael. All worth watching just for the dancing. In Michael he does some very cool dancing to Chain of Fools. He's very talented. Thank you for your videos
❣❣❣ **RIP BEAUTIFUL LADY, WITH THE ANGELIC VOICE** ❣❣❣John Travolta is multi-talented, you should listen to your commenters, and watch him in Grease and Saturday Night Fever, and also another dance movie he was in, where his moves were incredible, but not such a great box office hit, called Staying Alive 😊
Olivia Newton John is the bomb. One of the most beautiful people that ever lived in every way. The bee gees made John Travolta famous and even says so himself
After you have watched Grease, you must watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show - it's not a horror! 😂 It'll open your eyes a little wide maybe though 😉 🤣 😁
John really is singing. He has a great voice. If you watch the whole movie, you will see him sing Sandy in the middle of the movie. It really shows his singing voice.
Yes that's John Travolta singing.....He started getting big in the 70's on the comedy tv show "Welcome back Kotter" and then with the movie "Saturday Night Fever ..... and ....the Movie Musical "Grease!" That's part of this movie about the 50's Greasers the T. Birds and the Pink Ladys!
@@Caprizonica Well, I've found comment sections are, sometimes (if we're lucky) clever and hilarious. Given your name, and that you watch vintage music reactions, I just imagined you might have people pop up: "You're as cold as ice!", etc. 🤣🤣
Pretty sure Urban Cowboy wasn't a "musical"? Lol! There was music in it, the actors didn't suddenly break into song though. I hope you were trying to be funny?
Seeing your face when John T started to sing, brilliant reaction. Obviously, if my generation hadn't known of Grease, we only really associate him with Face/Off and Pulp Fiction. Olivia Newton John is Australian, two of her famous songs are Xanadu and Physical. If you end up doing Grease for a film review and popping down the musical hole 🕳. Please review Rock of Ages. You won't regret it. And if you could, Calamity Jane, that one is my all time favourite.
Cool!! Shout out to Rob Squad!! Love them, this song and "Grease"!! Olivia Newton John became my idol and John Travolta was my first crush (well, second after Andy Gibb! lol!!) after seeing the movie when I was a little girl!! this should be a fun one!! Gonna finish watching now!! ;)
