My husband and I moved to Ghana we're from America. We love broth of your channels. Wade Maya and Traveling Sista great message for the Diaspora. It's not easy, don't come if you're not willing to change. My husband and I are in our 70ed and we're changing. Be blessed!
I’m a Nigerian married to an African American. The conversations alone are interesting 😆. I was severely bullied when I first came to America by African Americans because of ignorance. I hold no grudges, the miseducation is real.
@@Untilhecomes85 exactly. Just like how continental Africans bully other tribes. Continental Africans do anything to play up on their false superiority complex.
Good for you man how is america which city you are take care of that Africa America girl they are beautiful an good hate dont disappoint him bcs of most of you just marrying them for green card .
The hostile ant-African reaction of Wode Maya's classmate after being called an African, used to be such a common reaction! Africans coming to live or study in America used to routinely experience this hostility from African Americans all the time. It was usually the small number of 'conscious' African Americans that were friendly towards Africans. It is so beautiful and refreshing to see the positive growing changes!
If you are self-hating Africa is not for you. Truer words have never been spoken. Can't wait to come to the continent even if it's just say hello Mama Africa
I want to meet you both one day before I leave this earth. I am one of those African Americans who met her African husband back in 2018 and we married this year in February 2021 in Uganda 🇺🇬. Uganda will be my forever home but I've had to return to the states so we can both work towards our retirement in Africa. If you would've asked me 4 years ago if I would have ever had the desire to even visit Africa.. The answer would've been no. I was becoming enlightened 9 months prior to meeting my husband online. Congrats Wode Maya for reaching 1 million subscribers and Traveling Sista for sharing yourself over the past 4 years!! I can't wait to return as I cried when I had to leave.. Keep up the great work both of you!! 🤗🤗
That's awesome and congratulations 🎉 I live in Uganda at the time with my ex fiance. Uganda will always have a place in my heart. We will be heading to Nigeria my fiance is there and my father. I can't wait to return home.
Aye much love to him. I love to hear continental Africans being welcoming to Diasporans. Can’t wait for what Africa is to become when all her Children return under Love and Freedom!
In some African countries you can order your clothes, accessories and groceries from your mobile app and have all delivered to your door within 3 - 48 hours.
Now would be the best time for Africa to reach out to the Diaspora. So many skilled and talented ppl here in America and elsewhere struggle with their economy. Africa needs our knowledge and skills to build it up yet there is no clear path back home to the Motherland. Great Interview
It's not about the African governments not wanting to embrace the diaspora. It's more about them fearing that they are a threat to their interests. This is also true of the Haitian government not allowing their diaspora to do much in their country. Their diaspora is worth north of $80 billion dollars and could easily develop Haiti. Yet, the oligarchs and politicians there see them as a threat to their privileges.
Facts all of those politicians must die they serve mo purpose to Haiti n many african countries we must have true leaders . true people of progression for Africa n haiti n Jamaica..
That's exactly the situation, in africa the democratic system that we practice are been sponsored by this mullty international company to the politician, so turn to control to serve their interest. so even if you are good leader they will sabotagise you not perform or serve the best interest of your people.
Marriage is the ancient way of forming alliances between nations and building families and legacies. It makes perfect sense for Africans and Americans (or diasporans from wherever they are found) to marry and raise families together. Marriage may be the best way to sort out acquisition of real and personal property etc. Marriage.
Visiting makes good marriage s it's our continent all of Africa is for African they're coming home from every corner s of the world so many countries to chose from .
Wode Maya is so inspirational.... We must recognized how much the colonial system have destroyed our mindset, it’s criminal! But knowledge is power!we must renew our mind as scripture speaks to us, stop being ignorant and live instead of just being walking dead! Moses delivered the people from Egypt, but Joshua led them to freedom! As we know, all the older people died in the wilderness! Delivered but same mindset, only those younger who didn’t know about Egypt was set free to the land of Canaan! Come on BLACK PEOPLE Renew your mind! Knowledge is power!! 💕🙏🏼
I'm here for Wode Maya marrying me and my African King.... I need a African King tho🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾❤️🇬🇭 Yes I'm planning my repatriation to Ghana as we speak!!! 🇬🇭❤️🙏🏾
My dad died, when I was 15, and my Mom, when I was 37, so I know the ost. I am 79 now, living in Queretaro, Mexico, since 11-2-2021. I love this city, and I love the Sister. How is your daughter?
Enlightening! My first time meeting an African who was an exchange student (from then Zaire) attending Seattle University in 89' while I was serving in the U.S. Army (Ft Louis) was an immediate friendship. Very handsome, highly intelligent young man and use to tell me in the coolest accent "your not African, your African American, that's the difference." And then he would say, "you are African, you just weren't born in Africa."
How are you am a Zimbabwe living is Johannesburg I like arizona the climate is some like my place were am born in Zimbabwe the place is border between south Africa and Zimbabwe it's beitbridge
As a Jamaican I can say that there are differences between Jamaica and Ghana, but there a definitely similarities as we are all Africans. Bless up Maya and Traveling Sista. I hope you enjoy your trip to yaad.
Of course there will be differences, even Twins have differences. It all depends on what you are looking for or where you are coming from. Half full or half empty.
I just arrived back to America from east africa its my 4th trip to the motherland and each time gets better. Thank you so much too those brothers and sisters on the motherland who surely make me feel so much at home.. Can't wait to find that part I will move to..
As a very Proud Afrikan, Wode Maya i also wish for the same message for all Afrikans to know and hear that we came from Glory, Royalty, Spirituality and the most Beautiful and Blessed Continent that Divine One created and My Afrikan Ancestors for years lived in Peace and Balance.
Most definitely needed to hear the message that you guys where talking about. Thanks you!! one day I'll be sitting in on, one of theses interviews with y'all . Broadcasting live from Rwanda to SAINT LOUIS MO . All things are possible because I'm a conqueror. I will start up a business in Rwanda. I will come to Africa with the intentions to protect and give back to Africa. The Lord the creator of all things will supply all of my needs, because what is about to take place is purely out of love and I'm being lead by divine powers that is taking me to the next phase and level in my life . Thank you lord for what you've Done here today in the present and in the future. Ok I'm done 😂 it just took over me. One Love see y'all soon.✌️ Oh if anybody could point 👉 me in the right direction to get in contact with the diaspora in Rwanda that would be great.
Well you can start the Kiswahili language lessons from wherever you are. If you in the USA it's probably offered in your local college. Also if you have ever celebrated KWANZAA holiday that is ongoing now then know that the language used is Kiswahili/Swahili
Too many fba ados coming to Africa is not good cause we would change and build things on a massive scale and the natives will be envious just like they are when they come to live in America 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Awesome interview. Its so good to see both of you together. Keep doing what you are doing. I have learnt A LOT about Africa, from watching you, Wode Maya, and other vloggers that I didn't know about before. YOU GUYS ARE MAKING A HUGE IMPACT, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW IT!
Wide Maya & Trudy & Traveling Sistah, hello to you all!!! I am repatriating home, voluntarily this time, as opposed to being forced & stolen over 400 years ago. I will be moving to Kigali, which may tell you something about me, psychologically speaking. Regardless, I will be there in August 2022, yes this year!!! I’m counting down! Yes, I’ll be there for life!
We could tell as we saw you all walking that you were headed to UZUNGUNI CITY PARK RESTAURANT. 🤗 Absolutely one of our favourite restaurants in Arusha. Must admit, "CITY PARK" and "George's Tavern" are two of the BEST in Arusha in our opinion. Congratulations to you Wode Maya, both you and Travelling Sista are definitely forerunners in revealing the beauty and reality of Africa. A Big Old THANK YOU FROM THE ❣🥰👍🏿
I just did an interview and was telling the girl the same thing about West Africa. It gives this "homecoming" vibe. I also lived in Sierra Leone for 3 months and there is a lot of diaspora there. I was surprised too. But Sierra Leone is one of the African nations that provide citizenship to diaspora with DNA testing.
Wode Maya for President of AFRICA (the entire continent; one President)!!!! We need you because as the Traveling Sista stated, we have been so misinformed or just flat out lied to regarding the continent and how Africans feel about African Americans and others in the diaspora. CONGRATULATIONS on reaching one million subscribers. We are all so proud of you; keep up the great work because there is much more to be done. I can’t wait to repatriate one day soon. It is not an easy task, but I am determined to figure it out. You are correct … it would help if the African Presidents made it easy to come and repatriate. WE NEED THE HELP!!!!
I'm still watching but I had to pause real quick to share that one you look so beautiful and vibrant!!! And two; I love that you took your time to find and refine your way and place in the ginormous continent we have come to affectionately know as Africa.
Enjoyed this interview with Wode Maya. His channel has grown tremendously since I began watching him, and I am so proud of his accomplishments. Thank you Sista for sharing.
I read somewhere that Jamaica is about 60% Akan. Jamaica is close to Jeremie, Haiti where the people are known for Fufu and look Ghanaian. They call it Tomtom. The word Fufu is actually used in the north of Haiti.
#wodemaya is speaking volumes, I'm from Chicago, and came straight to Tanzania, only because of the restrictions in the west, my experience here sucks, the diaspora, there is no community, unless you paying a diaspora or you have a blog, for any information, my landlord tried to extort my rent money, after I paid in advance, because some arabics offered her more money, went to the police for help, of course they stuck together and sided with her, I tried networking with the local sisters, they treat me like I'm a threat to them, my light is not excepted here, I must take my light somewhere else, because Tanzania is not it, I can't open a business without making a Tanzania who can't afford to put on for the business, my business partner and the local gets 51 percent and I only get 49 percent, #wodemaya what investment ideas you have, I'm seeking generational wealth?
I’m sorry yu have this experience. I pray that never happens to you again. I personally am scared to live in east Africa cuz I feel like it’s the next target for the Whites and the Arabs. I’d feel more comfy in west Africa. I like darker complexion even tho I am brown skin 🥲😂. But I support all of Africa. Don’t let that experience deter yu.
@Traveling Sista, and Wode Maya... Two of our Great African RU-vid Heavyweights...All the right questions, and all the right answers.. (Good Content), peace and Love to you both from America.
Great content. Preparation for moving back to Africa is already on the way for me and others. Keep sharing positive images about the continent because the negative about the continent has been sold for centuries. At the end of the day, negative mindset will never produce positive results. Abdul Omo 9ja in USA
Because of awesome peeps like the both of you my retirement plans are now focused on Ghana 🇬🇭 I'm Jamaican living in the US. My time-line is 4 years or less. I still need guidance on where to settle in Ghana.
I hope Traveling Sista's Channel reaches 100k by February. Pls as a suggestion, provide contents on culture and society. Africa's last bastion of colonially-minded and subservient leaders are surfacing off. Now is the time for us to establish better laws and programs to make our continent a success for all her descendants who claim her.
Thanks to #travelingsista and #wodemaya me and my daughters are now in Tanzania, and can't wait to visit other continents, to see which one I want to build my empire in. I did DNA, I'm nigerian descent, I would love to go there and find my roots💯🤗😊
This information goes to those diasporas who thought East African region is the most developed part in Africa.. first and foremost Africa has more than two regions, we have west Africa, North Africa, Central Africa, east Africa, and Southern Africa, so guys stop comparing west and east Africa as if they are the only regions in Africa.... It would be a hasty assumptions to think that the East is better than the west ? For your information, west Africans have three of their countries in top ten largest economies in Africa, Nigeria in number one position, Ghana in number eight position and Ivory Coast in number ten position ,.. East Africa has only one country in the list, that’s Kenya in number six position... what are the indices used to determine the standard of living of a country? That’s the human development index, and Ghana which is a west African country is ahead of any East African country in human development index..moreover, both Ghana and Nigeria have better gdp per capita than any other East African countries... Sist, Ghana is also the second most peaceful country in Africa, in fact the streets of Accra is safer than Nairobi.... by the way, countries like Congo, Cameroon, chad, Central African Republic, and Equatorial Guinea are Central African countries, so they are not west African countries.
This whole comment speaks to what ails Africa. Nonsensical competition. Wode Maya was not saying east is better than west or Vice versa. He was pointing to the pace of life in those regions. So please, stop with who is better than who. We are all African.
Brother we love you and we admire you as well as the sister keep on keeping on you and your team keep up the great work. We are one people brother beautifully said. One Africa one people worldwide.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽i like both of you. Keep up the spirit
a fruitful conversation there with WODE MAYA the one and only anoying village boy from Ghana. that guy carries a different and extraordinary GRACE. a big shout out to you too travelling sis keep promoting the Continent the way you do
Great interview. I would like to meet you too Travelling Sister. I would like to interview you about your experience living in Tanzania. Nikija Arusha nitakutafuta
bing African diaspora thank you maya also Trudy your both so lovely 😀😀😀thank you also for the person who is interviewing Maya thank you for excellent talk don’t be hard on the diasporas 🤝
Travelling Sister you have become so pretty these days, Wow 😲! I think Mother Africa waited for you to return home and expose your blessings and true beauty you have! You look amazing 😉! You are absolutely gorgeous! Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄! Much blessings, Amen 🙏🏾
Thanks for this great video. I am an African in the Diaspora and admire the work Wode Maya has been doing cleansing the minds of people globally of the lies of main - stream media. The next challenge Wode Maya is collaborations to build the Continent. You can do it and you have our support.
I have subscribed several times to you my dearest sister may Almighty Allah bless you i really ❤ love you for sake of Allah also because of you're one of most influential on RU-vid
Very encouraging msg from Bro Wode & Traveling Sista as usual. Will help to spread this msg by showing most if not all of this interview in some future BlackEcon-Network videos, as I have done before. Afrika for the Afrikans at home & abroad. United we stand but divided we fall.🤘
I watch both Traveling asista and Maya’s channels. I am African American. But I am African first! I just call myself Black. I just want to say there are hostilities on both sides. There are so many African on the continent who do not see African Americans as African at all. We both have work to do to get to know each other. We are Offer preyed upon when we move to Africa. That is shocking as well. We need to research true HISTORY to know the entire truth about where we all are today!
It's just embedded in slavery and colonialism. Do you think the one that kidnapped your brother will leave him with a bouquet of flowers? They have to do their best to miseducate both sides. Blame the Mzungu that is perpetually miseducating the people through Mass media.
Hello my sister thank you and Wode Maya for that wonderful message. May we all have the courage to change our thinking about Africa and reclaim our personal power as Africans and start working together to create jobs in Africa. It is going to need all of us to get there. Thank you so much.
Agree with the comment on creating your own business. I been there and there is no shortage of creating your own business. Coming from North America and seeing the possibilities there was no shortage of opportunities there in this area. With Respect
To come to know that you were part of the forebears for Wodemaya on RU-vid, that’s really inspiring for me and explains how I’ve always been drawn to your contents. Good energy in there and hope to see you guys do more together.
"If I ever get a chance to become a President, listen, when [the diaspora]you are coming to the Continent, you are not paying visa fee, you are not paying ANYTHING." re.: Thank You Wode Maya, your neighbor to the East of the Eastern Region of Gh.; I have watched that clip twice, 12-hour apart. Cleverly stated, well understood that "anything" = any mandates...
What blacks outside of Africa need to do is to first get organized. They need to set up an Office of the African Diaspora in every African country in order to look out for their interest. If African governments want to take advantage of the diaspora, they surely can. The diaspora is not organized.
ADDI is already in place and they are the 6th region of Africa with her excellence ambassador in charge at the office in Ghana. It's unfortunate that most of us do not use the resources we have to learn and be informed
@@afrakanaswahilitv5520 I understand, but the African diaspora is more than just the US black population. This is still very unorganized. How do they choose their members?
It is just gratifying to see the growth in 我的妈呀 , from his early playful videos in China, through the transition to the Africa movement. He put in the hardwork and deserves all the great things coming to him. Very wise words to our people in the diaspora from Aya Maya.
