To be honest, when PeeWee talked about dragons being represented as good rather than bad, I felt that for all misunderstood animals mythical or real. Wolfwalkers is exactly representing of how wolves can be nice creatures and we study the wolf's side and human sides with both the pros and cons. Wolves are heavily misunderstood and by having stories and movies with wolves being nicer are what we need to not only save wolves but a decent amount of misunderstood animals. Another movie is Alpha Movie which also shows how good a wolf can be as one of the main characters is a wolf while another is a human. While the movie is mostly in a different language, it still made a big hit in movie theaters. The Alpha Movie is a few years old but it's still a nice movie.
Eeyup! It was actually what I had in mind for doing for mythic vet of giving mythical creatures a better light. and I have seen it, that movie was fantastic!
I watched Raya and the Last Dragon recently, and i must say it was just amazing the plot was enjoyable and the characters were interesting, i especially loved the friendship that Raya formed with Sisu you could totally tell that they're besties for life and speaking of Sisu i'd say she was my most favorite character of all she was adorable and funny, i especially loved how she saw the good in everyone but anyway that's how i felt about the movie and i absolutely enjoyed the review a very Happy Pride Month to you all!!!

imma be honest, as a person from Indonesia i really like the cultural references in this movie. Like the fangs roofs that are inspired by Gadang house from west sumatran of Indonesia, even to the concept of kredit, which i found very funny cause alot ppl in indonesia do theese. This is my personal opinions from indonesia's cultural references in the movie. also fun fact raya's sword was based off of the keris, a traditional sword from java.

you know, another dragon movie recently got released on netflix. its a really nice one, with a moral that love and friendship is worth more than any fortune you can possibly posses. And money cannot buy that. it is called wish dragon. I really want you to see it, I would love to get your, and peewee's opinions on it
That thing you said about each land barely being covered reminded me of when people said the same thing about each music tribe in _Trolls World Tour._ We didn't see much of them either (especially since it was a shorter movie with more lands). However, I feel like both movies did as good a job as they could explaining all their lands and cultures with how much time each movie ran for. Plus, these films are told in the perspectives of their main characters, so it was their journeys and their experiences of the places they saw and the people they met. I would love to see more of Kumandra's lands in the future someday, though. (And hopefully, Kelly Marie Tran's Raya×Namaari dream will come true.)
that is fair! I will admit that it is good to see they did what they could, but admittedly pacing it out would have been a lot more satisfying. But we'll just have to see where things go from here! And I hope so too! Despite not being the best set up I would love to see Raya and Namaari
I personally love the How To Train Your Dragon series but anyway, i saw Raya and the Last Dragon myself and hope to own it on DVD :D Also the Dragons returning into the world gave me The Last Unicorn's Unicorns returning into the world vibes, as in the good kind :) Am i alone on that?

I noticed how it was simaller to wolfwalkers but different to. example: in the movie luca and alberto go to the human world but they cannot let anyone know they are sea monsters because it is not safe, very much like how robin has to hide that she is a wolfwalker in the town because it is unsafe. I just loved this movie of 2 best friends who put each other before themselves and I still would love to see you make a video on this one but if you dont wanna, thats fine
You know there is a series that has dragons but as the main characters it’s called wings of fire it’s currently a book series but it’s going to get a show based off the books so the person who made these lovely books is Tui. T Sutherland the series has friendship, betrayal, war, prophecies, and adventure there is currently 15 chapter books, 6 graphic novels, 5 winglets ( side stories that star some beloved side characters ), and two legends books it’s going to have a guide book soon the book will hold stuff we haven’t known in the series it’s coming soon but a fair warning this series holds some gore and tons and tons of death but still a great series heck it even has lgtbq dragons! I highly suggest reading the chapter books first if you want to read the series the graphic novels are great but they do leave some stuff out if you just want to get the whole thing then read the chapter books trust me this series is as great as it sounds the community is also very friendly no toxicity and no terrible people on the writing team I hope you read the series Edit:Currently there are now seven graphic novels (the 8th one comes in December) and the guide book released back in last October

Third, as much as I love Dragons (and I do;) this movie didn't have me feeling anxious to see it. Perhaps, it was due to the fact it was only available online or maybe the story didn't seem quite that interesting. Either way, I've never seen this before Fourth; looking at all of you together, you guys look like you could make a perfect D&D party of heroes. There's you, Silver; there's Peewee, the unicorn, the Pegasus and...whoever that wolf fellow was next to you. What I mean is your OCs together make you look like a party of fantasy adventurers. Actually Starling is a Pure blooded winged wolf but she had an adoptive dragon dad ^^ However due to her [SPOILERS] She sees the dragon as her papa. So she calls him Papa. Happy Pride month as well! No worries at all! while I would suggest to see it once, it is not the best dragon movie I have seen. Ironic you should say that, actually. Me and my boyfriends (Doodlebug Doge the pegasus, TheMusicReborn the Unicorn, and ChurgoII) all play D&D. I haven't asked Peewee if he does, but my partners and I all play with our friends ^^ All of these sound pretty good! I have seen most, but I will admit my favorite is a tie between HTTYD and Dragonheart
@@SilverStarlingsDen Dragon Hunters is interesting, not JUST for the fact it has dragon designs and types you'd never expect. But also for the fact that it was based off an animated TV show of the same name. Side note; when you say "boyfriends," does this mean you're in a polyamorous relationship? If yes, yours would be the only real world example of that part of the LGBT Community I've seen. Most of the time; the only places I've seen poly ships happen are in animation, movies and fanfiction. Lastly, do you guys have a D&D RU-vid channel or do you just play on something like Discord or Roll20? Since I can't play a game myself due to an inability to travel or a lack of the proper headset gear needed for the latter option; I satisfy my D&D cravings by seeking out campaigns on RU-vid, D&D Facebook groups and/or episodes of shows based around the game. My favorites are from Gumball, Big City Greens, Gravity Falls, Dexter's Lab and even Voltron
@@sadlobster1 Good to know on the dragon hunters! Yes we are actually! Churgo, Doodle, Music and I are all in a relationship, though Churgo and Music are only platonically connected to each other. We did actually have a campaign we tried putting on youtube but most people didn't seem interested in it and it was a lot of work to do. So we decided to stop recording and just have fun with it. Admittedly I also have a bit of a fear of livestreaming stuff now too, but I am trying to get over it and one day who knows, maybe if enough people are interested we could try again. It was call A dragon Rider's song.
@@SilverStarlingsDen I'll have to see if I can find this Dragon Rider's Song thing for myself. Also, I think it's nice that Churgo, Music and Doodle can all share your love and not feel jealous of each other. I've seen enough harem anime to know such a situation almost always doesn't end well
@@sadlobster1 I removed it because again I just wanted to have fun while playing and not record anymore but best of luck looking at another campaigns. Eeyup that is what polyamory is, but it isn't a harem anime. It also isn't all of "my love" it is all of us loving each other. it's sharing love together not one person having people share their love.
Ok 1, your father is a dragon, I am both confused and happy. 2, I love this movie, some of the jokes aren’t that good and the theme of the film is muddled but it was still good in the end. 3, This is unrelated but why is there still no wolfwalker/MLP crossover fanfics, I want to see the 2 together in one story so much 😭.

Thanks for your points of views on Raya. When I saw this film I had some issues with Raya, on how she had trust issues and her original goal, just to save her father. Disney says she is a future "Disney Princess" but honestly I don't see her as one. She a good character for this movie, but a Disney princess to me is someone who believes in a dream, show their work through difficult times, yet is still compassionate to a tough reality. Her father only calls her princess once and well (I may be bias but...) Raya doesn't show quality of a princess, she only seen as a warrior. Heck I hated when they said "Disney princesses are the next super heroes." So like are girls suppose to carry swords and have fighting skills when meeting a stranger? I get why girls in animated films these days are as they are, but I do miss how girls can be seen from the past, as feminize characters. Not all girls want to be rough and hardcore, some can be positive and sweet. Heck if anyone is a princess in this film, I say Sisu. She cares for the world, still believes in good humans, and doesn't let anyone stop her from giving in. Sisu to me could be a true Disney Princess; if Disney can bring a non-born or married girl like Mulan or a Pixar character as a Disney Princess, then I say Sisu can be the first non-human or born royalty to become a Disney Princess.
This is a really good point actually! Don't get me wrong it is nice to see women in roles take a more active roles compared to the past, but as you said not all women want to. There are different levels of strengths, and hollywood seems to need to remember that. Nani from lilo and Stich or Sarah Hawkins from treasure planet is just as strong as any one like Raya or Katniss Everdeen, even if they are just woman trying to take care of their families, home and job. Just because they aren't using a sword or fist to solve their problems doesn't mean they aren't "strong". While it is good to show women fighting to show girls it can be done, it is also not bad to just show a multitude of different types of women. Honestly I could see both Sisu and Raya as being great choices but it is a matter of recognizing both as terrific women.

It was mystical yet totally possible within it's universe.The expressions were on point, and even how they stood made her look more real then anything. It's just....wow man!!!!!! And this is coming from someone who prefer European dragons!!!!!!!
I have to agree that Raya was a little judgemental in the movie, but ... does this make her more human? Honestly it's refreshing to see a princess so cinical about the world and learn to be accepting. HEY SILVER I WANNA KNOW MORE ABOUT YOUR PARTNERS!!! XDXDXD
It does, but it would have been nicer to see a reason for that other than "humans are bad" since no one else in the movie seemed o have these prejudices. and good to know you'll like next month and our 4 way collab ^^

I love raya and the last dragon especially when raya x namaari have some unresolved wink wink tension if you know what i mean oh and maybe you should do some research on the cast please cause you will be surprised to some big name actors well i don't trust very easily and early that and well i won't try to persuade you but know this i can't handle people who just don't think about how much pain losing someone makes that affected person can or might go through like myself who wanted to commit suicide out of misery oh and one more thing the ones that did the movie did it from their homes cause of the pandemic of covid 19
Good information to know, I may look into the cast when I have time. Even if they are big named people I still would have preferred to see more South East Asian voices actors in the film. While I also understand grief can make you do things that aren't morally right, Raya's prejudices of the other tribes seems to manifest before story began and it doesn't seem like any of the other tribes have prejudices of the other tribes except for heart and having an abundance. It is strange where Raya could have learned this considering no one in heart seems to share these view points. Good to hear yours thoughts though these were some of the reasons why we included what we included.
