Well when they're whole they look like turds LOL When you take them to a party it's best to cut them in half so they last a while. Otherwise they'll be gone quick!
They are in the oven now! One discovery to share: keep the gloves on and roll the sausage mix between your palms. The resulting "turd" fits perfectly in the pepper. Think sliced bacon for sure! Thanks!
@@evilTexanBBQ Three day follow up: I didn't wait for a party to make these last Sunday. My wife and I ate all we could hold…..there were about 7 left. Today, at lunch, I put those seven in the air fryer for about 8 minutes right out of the fridge. They were better than they were on Sunday! The air fryer made the bacon crisp and the inside got up to about 150 degrees which was perfect. The moral of the story - always make more than you need!
