@@owenjohn1192 😁 I agree Owen, for £45 there are "other options". I must confess i actually used my one today for the first time in a while and it did work really well for ensuring I drilled consistent straight holes 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍.
@@frankslittleworkshop I was looking at the Milescraft 1318, ,but it looks like it ships from the USA on Amazon. Not sure if I will get stung by import duties!
Seems all drill guides use chucks with a key, even the expensive ones like Woodpeckers . Not impressed with quality of Wolcraft tools, only advantage is that they are cheap
😁 Yep, 100% agree. Its not top notch quality but the price is good and for an occasional user it would be more than adequate. A good price to quality balance I think . Thanks for watching Mark 😁👍
A metal plate on the bottom a couple cm bigger than the base, would make it more stable. Since I can drill a perfect hole at any angle, blindfolded, with one arm behind my back and standing on one foot, I have no use for one of these. But I can imagine a mere mortal may find one useful. I always enjoy your videos because I can watch a regular fellow being himself, in his tiny little shop, making impressive things, or making useful videos in a straightforward and lighthearted way. Thank you mate, and all the best to you.
😆😆 Thanks Chris. Us mear mortals like myself need all the help we can get. I have trouble walking straight let alone drilling straight 😆😆. Glad your still liking the videos. Thanks for the support mate. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
😁 Thanks Jonathan, yep, the mic muffling is annoying because you don't normally notice it until the editing stage, and by that time its too late to do a re-take ☹. Sometimes I will set up again or dub over the top but only if I have the time or there is important audio information that is missing. Thanks for watching Jonathan 😁👍
Hi Frank hope you well, it seams to do a decent job, but no replacement for the bench drill, a good demonstration and these guides use a chuck and key which is ok a lot of my mains drills are key chucks. for the money it's not bad, as always a good honest review and a great video, catch you soon Take care😁👍
😁 Hi Shaun, yep doing ok 😁👍. This will never replace my pillar drill but I could have done with it when I was building my shed, it would have saved quite a bit of leg work back and forth to the workshop. The chuck is not too bad you seem to take out most of the play when you press down so not too bad. Thanks for watching and catch up with you soon mate 😁👍
😁 Thanks Gator 😁. This has its place for an occasional user but as I mentioned its not for precision work. The reason I make these videos (at my own expense) is to show everyone what you can get and what its really like. I'm not affiliated in any way to any tool manufacturer .Then they can choose if its suitable for them or not rather than believe all that shiney advertising rubbish. Thanks for watching Gator and thanks for taking the time to comment 😁👍
😁 I think you are 100% right. I probably wouldn't use it on a day to day basis. But for repetitive angle cuts it would be a big help for consistency. Thanks for watching, I hope your keeping well 😁👍
