it's a very subtle game that way.

It's not subtle at all. The DLC is literally an in-universe pulp comic book. Stalin was never vilified by Americans in this fictional timeline; he was a martyred ally, and enemy of the fascists. And Communism/Marxism explicitly refutes the concept of race superiority/inferiority, one of the ways it's directly opposed to fascism. So Curtis Everton -- author of the Freedom Chronicles comics -- made the Joseph Stallion character an obvious homage to both Stalin and Marxism with the name and by making him a persecuted minority fighting against the racist fascists.

@@RandallAgent The main reasons that people take issue with this game are on the basis that many aspects feel like downgrades from New Order. Weapon customization isn't as deep, a lot of story elements feel like blatant retreads from the first game, some of your new teammates are kinda unlikeable, and perhaps most unforgivably, there's no New Game+ mode, so if you were hoping to keep your upgrades from your first playthrough (a feature that both New Order and Old Blood let you do), you're in for disappointment.

@@bluecoin3771 the upgrades are the worst part and that you can't replay chapters that you want to replay, stealth is so s*it that even when you are just being quiet in a dark part of a room they would be like "Huh? Was ist das?" Like the hell I loved the stealth in New Order even on Über. And the storyline was meeehhh. It was not engaging as the New Order nor Old Blood. I agree with you with everything.

Venus and the nazi tech had explanations in-game (farfetched but acceptable to a degree) while an ordinary man breaks through a wall because football. In hindsight, they could have just explained that away as a weak point in the defective cement from the first game if I remember right.
