It's amazing that this is just a free mod. Developers try to do "retro" style games, fail at it, and charge you money for it. This is just modders love for the ACTUAL retro shooters, producing full length gameplay, and giving it out for free on the internet. Amazing mod.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that, because for one there is no weapon customization, second there are no perks and third the arsenal is not only bigger but actually uses real world weapons that weren't in those games.
Considering how many of them are age-restricted by you, is "Bobbert's Back Door" mostly for videos too spicy for the main channel? I love the idea, so job well done if that's what you're going for.
My one complaint with the mod is that the scale of many things is WAY off, lol, you feel almost like a Lilliputian in the land of Gullivar at times - look at the size of the tables relative to your height.
I#m playing this on the latest GZDOOM but I don't get the HUD??? If I turn alternate HUD on, I can see a basic HUD but the ammo doesn't update. With the alternate HUD off, i can't see any health, ammo, no HUD at all ????
Is the guy doing the Brutal Wolfenstein mod involved, or is this what someone is making of the project since he said he wasn't working on it anymore? I hadn't heard of this, but in lieu of BoA ever getting it's shit together, I'd flip back to the action spectacle side of the coin. This looks about as much fun as the better Brutal Wolf maps did, and I found it much more enjoyable than Brutal Doom anyway. At least the levels that weren't flat plane recreations of wolf3d.
actually, ZioMcCall (the guy who made Brutal Wolfenstein) is working on Brutal Wolfenstein again after a few years. i do not know if ZioMcCall is involved with wolfenstein x though.
