Nice work. I’m kinda surprised you put that trolling motor head in there though..its simple to crack that open and get the speed controller out. But overall very kool. Gives me ideas. I have owned 4 different hobie mirage kayaks but nothing beats making your own
It later got removed to a box then later the whole unit got changed and now i dont even own it anymore. sold to one of my subscribers. I run a boss 12 kayak now with a haswing motor.
Thanks, if you do please share it with us! i love seeing all over them. I love my diy foam kayak but i am about to move on. I was given a sun dolphin boss 12 ss for fatherday so i actually have a plastic kayak now and i think i am goign to sell the wolfeyak. Not that anything is wrong with it but i dont need 2 kayaks for myself.
I'm so amazed at how you built your own yaks and they are nice and sturdy ones too. I cant wait to continue watching your videos tight lines and thanks for sharing GOD bless you
That and foot steering were on my list when i planed it and the tubes or there for the steering.. After first use i choose to go with tiller steering and speed controls. I dont have a video of it. But i now have a pwm and used cat 5 cable to locate the speed knob on the end of the tiller rod. SO much easier to use while standing.
Do u have a list for what u used to build it like how many sheets of foam type of foam ,glues an such possible amount it costed to build I've not watched all your videos yet but plan to for the yak builds.
This is pretty tricked out what would you estimate the weight of your Kayak? Also, how do you transport it (trailer, in the bed of a truck? on top of SUV?)
Bare hull weight was 85 pounds i believe, i have the info logged somewhere. Not sure once geared out. At first i car topped on a kia rio, then later truck bed. Keep in mind we had 2 of them. I sold this one a couple of years ago when my daughter bought me a boss 12 kayak. We still have the other one and its still used weekly.
180 for the base hull construction, the stadium seat was around 30 i think, other stuff i had on hand like the square tubing for the seat base and wheel system. Oh and a old ice chest. But keep in mind i bargain hunted most of this.
Awesome build bud!!! Wish I could do that haha but I suck at building things 😂😂😂 Be sure to checkout my 500 subscriber special coming up this Saturday at 6pm! Is deffinitely one of the best videos I've ever made! Tight lines buddy!🖒🖒🐟🐟🎣🎣🐠🐠
