In this Wolff Responds, Prof. Wolff explains that the US economy is showing numerous symptoms of a serious economic decline. There are far too many issues and problems crowding in on each other. The US has proven unable to manage and solve any of them: COVID-19, devastating fires on the West coast, racial divide that has been a fundamental festering problem in American society, the government falling apart and rising economies like those of China, India and Brazil threatening American jobs. He asks if and how long will the American people tolerate living in a place where there’s a vast sea of poverty punctuated by a few cities of wealth.

You're absolutely right! What hurts me tremendously is all the wealth in this country and yet we have starving hungry people or struggling families. Capitalism is in decline, just like Marx and Lenin predicted. And the US as the main and most developed capitalist/imperialist country is declineing the fastest. And that´s a good thing! Workers of the world, unite!

Let's face it: The Globalists are generations ahead of ewes with both a Vision and a Plan. Ewes have neither. If you EVER hope to catch up, you must learn to "see" beyond your lifetime. Marxism is a dinosaur ideology. Are there no Visionaries among the Left who can "see" the path of the next 250 years of our experiment in self-Government? Nah, everyone's a Reactionary.

@@andywehre7912 Marx was wrong to eliminate God. And he knew it. So do the Marxist Zionists. Rather than the Corporate-Temple Fascists, and the God of Abraham, it will be the NEON GAUD -- a sentient machine, with the PLAN to perfect humanity. That's the current solution for Marxism by the Marxists themselves. You're not really in the club. I told you it was a dinosaur. Man Kind includes all of us. From the first human pair, unto the last man or woman, and -- for those who pass the faith test -- into the afterlife, we are ONE Creation, potentially, everlasting. And WE (you too) have been tasked with the progressive perfection of Mankind -- God's composite of unique individuals with ascension promise -- even if it takes all 6,492 years remaining in Abraham's 10,000 year Covenant (after Moses renegotiated face to face as a friend and some years are not counted). The Commies (the real ones -- China, Vietnam) and the Capitalists (formerly Bush-ites) have teamed up to distribute synthetic opiates (Fentanyl) to the masses AND get the governments to pay for it. But they must destroy religion (the other opiate of the masses) first. And so they have devised a WAR: God vs God vs God vs God vs NOT GOD, to do just that -- ready in a minute, at the slightest provocation, even if it's faked. By the way, the RAPTURE is the REAL HOAX.

The 1% refused to take their 40% loss on September 29th 2008. Trump offered them a 60% loss in 2016 if they would "Discount" our debt in favor of Higher Interest Rates. They threatened to "take care of" Trump. That same deal today will cost them 80%, and so they have scheduled a Jubilee in Jerusalem on 09/23/26 (maybe sooner) so that they can Sacrifice Their Wealth, thus forgiving our debt, to INVOKE LUCIFER. THEY have no idea that Lucifer and Satan were both detained shortly after Pentecost, and judged by the Ancients of Days, far from Earth, in 1985. Jesus already triumphed. The devil and dragon remain on Earth, and since learning of Lucifer's refusal of God's proffered mercy, they known their judgement is soon. 10/12/26. I'll see ewes (US) at the Jubilee. "No more war. Finnish person, Ville-Juhani Sutinen wrote book "Kapitalismin museo" ("Museum of Capitalism"), which was published in 2018. His book is collection of essays, based on his travels on USA. He realised, that USA is become museum of itself. That it is not more creative or leading in any measure. That USA become ruins and museum of itself and capitalism, both, physically (ruined ghost cities etc) and mentally (how people lost rights and welfare they once had). I didn't have opportunity to read that book, but it sound really interesting. And I think high likely there is no translation for it...
@matthewkopp2391

Sounds interesting. I will look into it. Berlin has a DDR socialist east Germany museum. And I met and talked to a lot of people who grew up in the DDR. A lot of what we were told was true of STASI but a lot of the general propaganda was false. East Germans had a generally high standard of living even compared to today with zero poverty or homelessness and guaranteed jobs and housing. But the DDR museum is interesting because it shows that standard of living which many people in capitalist countries including many Germans can no longer afford. They can't create merely a propaganda museum because people know obvious propaganda. So there is a whole movement to gain some of the benefits they once had. In real financial terms with 80% of the US population in debt, even wealth accumulation was higher in the DDR than the USA, I don't know about Germany. But the idea of comparing the image of the USA which is rendered from the past compared to the reality of the present would make an interesting comparison.

I live in an incorporated suburb town in Sacramento County, the county where CA's capitol exists. We have a lot of natural areas along rivers, and green belts. The homeless set-up camps than can include 100 people. They have tents, kitchens and the like. They are not out on the streets, they are at "home" in bed. @@johnjylanne7100 There's several aspects to this ... a pro-immigration policy can also be utilised to fuel an anti-immigrant feeling among a particular % of the population ---- and migrants are so often the scapegoat for failed policy. Migrants had nothing to do with the 'exporting' of manufacturing to countries offering cheap labour to Corporations ... and DC did nothing to stop said Corporations shutting down their plants. There's also an acute, and very distasteful irony in 'Americans' being anti immigrant, given the country's horrific past, and the awkward fact that 99% of the population are either migrants, or descendants of migrants. Also, we might spare a thought for migrants from countries which DC imperialism has destroyed. How many of the 'anti migrant' number protested against the destruction of Libya? Iraq? Afghanistan? Chile? Vietnam? Yemen? Cambodia? East Timor? former Yugoslavia? (read 'Shock Doctrine' by Naomi Klein)

The dream that the American Way is the WAY has dissolved. The Way being the capitalist way. The American capitalist way. Other states have their Capitalist way. But all are in trouble, be it economically, politically, socially or culturally. All suffer, albeit unevenly., rather like the so called benefits of Capiltalism itself. For a system that proclaims competition is good, it seems to be awfy feart of competition to the system itself. so, we settle, if we are mature enough not to take up arms, for a type of social democracy., like here, in Scotland. but it has its limitations. Yes this is all happening at the same time as the effects of ignoring climate change, is burning across the western half of the United States, and the boriel forests of Siberia. A paradox of, we need more growth in the economy, at the same time the growth of the economy is threatening all life on this planet. It is more clear now than ever, that the human constructs of economic growth systems, defy the laws of physics. These current dilemmas are far greater than any problems governments have faced before. The question. Is humanity up to the task of admitting to its flawed systems, and creating change, or will it cling to the myths, superstition, and dogmas that got us to this point in the first place. I am betting that humans will argue over this, till the earths habitat no longer sustains us. Remember we are also in a current mass extinction because of the same flawed systems.

Greetings members of the Wolff cult: some more thoughts from Galbraith "Wealth is not without its advantages and the case to the contrary, although it has often been made, has never proved widely persuasive." "All crisis have involved debt that, in one fashion or another, has become dangerously out of scale in relation to the underlying means of payment." "In economics, hope and faith coexist with great scientific pretension and also a deep desire for respectability." "Americans had built themselves a world of speculative pipe dreams. That world was inhabited, not by people who had to be convinced, but by people who sought excuses for believing." “The problem is not economics; it goes back to a far deeper part of human nature. As people become fortunate in their personal well-being, and as countries become similarly fortunate, there is a common tendency to ignore the poor. Or to develop some rationalization for the good fortune of the fortunate. Responsibility is assigned to the poor themselves. Given their personal disposition and moral tone, they are meant to be poor. Poverty is both inevitable and in some measure deserved. The fortunate individuals and fortunate countries enjoy their well-being without the burden of conscience, without a troublesome sense of responsibility.” "The great dialectic in our time is not, as anciently and by some still supposed, between capital and labor; it is between economic enterprise and the state." "It would be foolish to suggest that government is a good custodian of aesthetic goals. But, there is no alternative to the state." "You will find that the State is the kind of organization which, though it does big things badly, does small things badly, too" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "He who controls the present controls the past." When you understand that you owe the present to FDR, you will have a true understanding of the past.

Yes indeed. You hear a lot of people talking about how bad the homeless problem is in the U.S. They will say " I went to LA or Seattle or where ever, and could not believe how many homeless there were." What most people don't realize is that they are only looking at about 220,000 people living on the streets, the rest are in shelters. Wait until that number increases by several million.

This week, Dan Kovalik was interviewed by Ross Ashcroft on Renegade Inc. Talked about the impact of what we might call 'local Imperialism' - the DC establishment inflicting on the local population what was once inflicted on societies in other countries. In Service Economies (post-Manufacturing), 'they' simply don't need a public 'on side'. The sums flowing through Wall Street (and other financial hubs around the world), make what little manufacturing remains, redundant in terms of political power. Given the true nature of the electoral system, and the machination within DC 'politics' - which forms a very effective barrier to the rise of any truly ethical agents/agencies, at least within the 'mainstream' parties; it is very difficult to see how change can be realised, certainly in a time-scale swift enough to help people in dire straits. What is abundantly clear, people *must* reject Biden as the 'alternative'. The continuation of this incrementalism will not offer anything but more of the same. If it does come to Revolution, I hope A. that ethical figureheads rise to the top, and B. lessons from past Revolutions are noted - it is very easy for the wrong people to find a window at times of political flux. Direct Democracy the right path. Local parliaments working for and run by local people.

High time we work to bring these cultures back to whatever degree we are able.

When we focus on observation that we believe to be empirical; we find out just how much we don't know. This is where theory comes in. Crisis theory explains exactly what is happening in the US. The country outgrew it's populations ability to facilitate the mass of the economy. This resulted in the economy becoming unstable. Most of the issue that the US faces now is because of concentration on floating an unstable economy. The lack of representation that has the population rising against the system comes from favoring the large businesses that are so instrumental in the economy. Crisis was looming; and the government was more afraid of collapse than anything else. Of course collapse is imminent in the near future; but the crisis cycle is a seasonal illness for all nations, no matter the social system. The US is the major catalyst for a coming rash of crises. World trade is the pathway for communication of the illness. No other nation is immune to the illness. When the US collapses; it will take other nations with it. This was observed in 08; and it's expected in the coming months. This economic crisis is global. The US may not emerge from recovery with the highest GDP; but China is the only other country that can compete on the level of big tech that the US has. Both the US and Chinese governments are in favor of a cold war between the two nations; because of the economic advantages of that division. The division that the US government is playing now; will be differed in that direction. The crisis will run it's course; and then the US having room to grow, will invest in what helps it compete with China, and the economy will be stable for a time. Then the cycle runs again. That's how it works; over and over again.

We need a viable 3rd Party ASAP!! Here is what will work: Progressives need 5 factors to be a successful movement. Right now, Progressives are missing key pieces and it’s not even funny. 1. Money - Not an issue. This past Primary showed people will donate to Progressives when they believe in their platform! YaY!! 2. Voters - Not an issue - People from both aisles and Independents will come out to vote when their values are on the ballot! 3. Leaders and party infrastructure - major problem, but can be minimized over time. We need real leaders, who will call out these corrupt, capitulating corporate conservative Neo-liberal/ Libertarian shills and do what’s “Right”, not what is politically expedient. 4. A Progressive news media machine - major problem! How else can we get out daily talking points, disseminate marching orders and battle other conservative news media outlets in “real” time.- We need a real news network with real journalists, not Namby-pamby sycophants, who suck up to power/ conservatives for Ratings and access. You can’t win elections when people don’t know you exist or when you are being framed/ smeared 24/7 by the other side! Well Duh!! This media machine must: • Never back down • Fight fire-with-fire • Counter everything anyone says in real time ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ALc21viqwkk.html&ab_channel=TheHill This graph at 11:40 is so laughable!! The sycophantic, corporate conservative media bias shows through. They not only put their thumb on the scales, but their full body weight, plus a dump truck and a freight train. You get the point. Everything they say is BS and is nothing but lies, propaganda, misinformation and RW talking points! The corrupt MSM wants people to think everything is even - Steven, a 50-50 split, when in reality both parties have been Right-of-center for decades. The Neo-Liberal, corporate conservative Dems have been marching rightward for 40+ years, so they are firmly planted at #5 going to #6 on the graph! The GOP/ conservative and neo-fascists starting with Reagan, then GW Bush and now King Trumpo are a #7 going to #8!! That’s how radical they are, but the lazy, shallow, corporate conservative media will never tell you the damn truth. Not their stink’in problem, it’s your!! This is why conservatives/ Neo-Liberals always get corporate welfare, um socialism, (tax cuts/ tax loopholes/ tax havens) for the wealthy elites/ corporations, endless wars, Wall St Bailouts, bloated MIC, privatization, gutting of Social Programs, endless corruption, ultra-conservative judges, and grifting without paying for any of it while the “people” will never get M4All, living wage, Green New Deal, infrastructure spending, legalization of marijuana, etc... while paying for all of it!! 5. We need a viable 3rd Party - major problem! This will force at least one party to fight for your vote instead of being entitled to it. Say goodbye to our corrupt duopoly! Until that day happens, ain’t nothing going to change for the better. Since 90-95+% of Congress are conservative, they all have to be booted - ASAP!! People have to stop voting for the "lesser of two evils". It ain't working!! Transforming the Dem party from within with BS incrementalism will take decades because you literally have to clean out the whole Democratic House/ Senate as well as its leadership, cronyism and its power. We’ll be long gone before that happens. People will keep voting in these shills/ clowns year after year because they don’t see any difference. The American people can’t see the true differences between conservatives and true Progressives as it stands today. In fact, most Dems are Blue Dogs, Neo-liberals, ex-GOP, Libertarians, religious ideologues but they are all are conservatives!! Sure some are socially liberal 1% of the time (#MeToo, #BLM), but they are economically, financially, militarily corporatists and bought-and-paid for 99% of the time which makes them Con-servative!!! When the voters can’t distinguish between Progressives and Con-servatives, nothing changes. In fact, we just continue the corrupt, corporate establishment, “Do Nothing”, status quo of doing the bidding of the wealth elites and corporations. Inertia and crony capitalism are built into the system. Forget about negotiating with any side. They will stab you in the back before you leave the room! Actually, the GOP will stab you in the front and then in the back for good measure. They’ll make sure you never attack back!! The spineless, clueless, rubber-stamping, foxhole, capitulating corporate conservative Dems will first ask to play a game of marbles and then stab you in the back as they run out of the room. Wimps to the end, so pick your poison!! Lastly, the shallow corporate conservative media will bash, ignore and smear Progressives until the end of time. Progressives will never get any respect when they have to bend to the Dems/GOP! Bernie/ AOC constantly get attacked and kicked to the curb and no one in the corporate conservative MSM defends them!! The MSM only represents conservatives and their corporate masters and will do anything to obstruct, divide, confuse and then destroy any and all threats to their hegemony. Current state of affairs: Conservatives/ GOP have billionaires (Koch bothers), Faux News, Sinclair Media, Clear Channel, Breitbart, NewsMax, OANN, Info Wars, Ben Shapiro, Limbaugh), hundreds of conservative newspapers/radio stations, thousands of political leaders, um stooges/confederates, astro-turf organizations, millions of mindless, rabid, Kool Aid drinkers and an army of pundits, shills, stooges and sycophants, who never ever back down once they get their marching orders!! Add RW 24/7 ideology and talking points from the last 40+ years! This is monster we have to tame let along take down!! Only with a viable 3rd party, will the American people see a distinct contrast between parties, platforms and individuals. 100 mil people are Not being represented now by either party so they don’t vote! They gave up on our corrupt duopoly decades ago. These are the people that will vote for a viable 3rd party. Finally, with a real 3rd party they will have a reason to vote again. That’s why an outside 3rd party is the only viable solution. Remember, Bernie couldn’t separate himself from the slimy, corporate conservative Dems and he proved too mushy/ weak to take on Biden. Plus, the Dems ganged up on him and crushed him when he was heading into Super Tuesday. As an outsider from a different party, this would not be an issue!! Social media, RU-vid, Google, alternative media won't be on par with the MSM channels for another 6-12 years. A major issue is how do you counter/ stop the brainwashing from corporate conservative news media when a majority of 45+ voters get their misinformation / lies from it. No major News network beats Faux News (number #1 for 15 years), how can a startup compete?? This 800 lb gorilla will rule the roast until the end of time until someone steals their audience!! All hope isn’t lost, but this may take decades to play out as the

I am a Chinese living in Wuhan. At the time of the outbreak of Coivd19, there were 40,000 doctors from across the country who came to Wuhan to support, and only 1% of the doctors came from private hospitals (it seems that only one hospital sent volunteers.). 99% doctors came frome public hospitals and military doctors in the army, and Communist Party members are the main backbone of them. Finally, the government assumed the medical expenses of all the first batch of patients infected with the Coivd19. At the same time, officials from communities and state-owned enterprises went to various communities to help us buy food and medicines for chronic diseases. To ensure that we can live normally without going out. To be honest, after experiencing this virus outbreak, I don't trust private companies even more.
