Violin Concerto in D Major op 61 by Ludwig van Beethoven 1. Allegro ma non troppo 2. Larghetto 3. Rondo Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio Eugen Jochum, conductor
Yes, that's the way to play it. My dad put this piece on the greatest when I was a little child. If I remember correctly it was in the forties or early fifties : Schneiderhahn is the greatest violinist to play this great Beethoven "work of art"
joakim segerberg Fine , but this a live recording and not the DGG with Jochum . Schneiderhan sounds younger here. There are also two earlier DGG with Furtwangler and Van Kempen ,both from the Fifties.
I think this is the version of DG in 1959. Same violinist, conductor and orchestra as 1962. Only LP released in Germany decades before, but released in CD format again by Japanese DG in 2014.
