Exactly. I love Perlman and his musical passion and virtuosity. Not Hilary Hahn who is too cold in her cleanness. But Hadelin is like a Perlman with a touch of Hahn which makes it a perfect combination for me.
Bro.... you need to go see him live to see that there's no sound engineer 😂, it's all Agustin making it sound perfect 😂😂. Try to find that engineer and post here his address 😂... not even Hollywood has such a sound effect engineer available 😅😂😂😂
Most violinist (and I'm talking the best in the world), when they play this concerto, it sounds like a bunch of scales. With Augustin, however, it sounds like music. At 24:00, right after the double stop, watch how he strikes the low note. And he does it again at 24:05. That is old-school Heifetz style playing. I suppose the difference is with Augustin, and the rest of the violin word, he knows what make the violin sound good, how to make it speak, and how to make music for crying out loud. So many musicians are so far stuck up their you know what, running around here talking about respecting the composer that they totally forget how to actually make music. They all sound like robots. And this concerto is notorious fickle. Even if you play it in tune it still sounds out of tune. Yet, Augustin has found a way to finesse it so it sounds so simple, logical and actually pleasant to listen to. Bravo - AGAIN. He is really killing it, one concerto after the next.
I see Kogan live play this concerto , and now on RU-vid i can hear Oistrakh , and I think Hagelich is one of the best now for sensibility , but Oistrakh is "imprevedibile".
Hadelich is fantastic, but I have to say, this orchestra is accompanying and supporting him incredibly well. Those natural horns and light vibrato from the strings add a lot to this performance
This is an amazing performance! The sounds the on high notes are so clean and beautiful. It sounds like singing. The conductor and all the musicians in the orchestra look so much dedicated as well. It is very moving and touching performance.
I hardly ever listen to CD's anymore as there are so many completely satisfying and utterly fantastic recordings now on RU-vid. I've been such a fan of this piece I had to stop listening to it for a while. Now this! I'm not able to stop listening to this. I'm hearing passages in the orchestral parts I've never heard before.
This performance‘s splendor of words can not attach it Hadelich’s wonderful performance has the scent of Beethoven’s aesthetics and his unrivaled skill From A corner of Tokyo
Beyond beautiful. This orchestra understands Beethoven. The horn section is finally allowed to play outright. The Bass and Celli keep the entire life of this concerto--which might also have been another symphony, given the fabulous musical ideas herein. The soloist's job is to rip us a new Beethovinian "heart." He does so here, for sure. Bravo!
Magnifique concert qui ne manque pas de panache ,charme .Bel orchestration et le violoniste Augustin Hadelich ,un talent incroyable.Merci à tous 🎻👏👏♥️🧑🎤
compared to other performances, this was the cleanest and most pleasant interpretation. It is powerful in its own right. And listening to specific passages really brings down the fact that Hadelich is a versatile violinist as well as a really kind person (kinda weird, but you get it)
@@erikgardetemps9708 I've listened to all of those besides Rapin in preparation to learn the concerto, and honestly this performance for me is easily in the top quarter, mostly because of how clearly and cleanly his musical intentions come across. Though I typically love his vibrato I do think it's a bit much for this piece, just too Romantic. Mutter, Szeryng, and Oistrakh probably top it for me. Also, I believe I've read that Ughi was a big inspiration for Hadelich growing up, so it's neat that you mention him. Also, the orchestra in this version is a fantastic match.
Probably the best version I ever heard. It is so clean and intimate, for example in the second movement, but still with the right power when it is needed. Thank you for great playing, Augustin Hadelich!
Flawless,...absolute best performance. Beethoven brings the inner emotions that can be fully expressed. Tribute to Elizbeth Holborn, my violin teacher many decades ago.
Thank you so much for posting the whole thing!! I tried so hard to find the full concerto after he showed us a few parts, I'm really glad I can finally hear/see it fully
Augustin Hadelich has the clean virtuosity of Hilary Hahn without her robotic coldness but with Itzhak Perman's passion and musicality. The perfect violinist.
Oh! so romantic, polite, graceful Beethoven it is. Yeah, beautiful, hit a new high. I hear there has still not been great music as like as Beethoven Violin Concerto among every music in the world since 18 century. Of cause that's depend on how to play it though. Occasionally I would love to hear Josepf Szigeti with Rondon Symphony Orchestra conducted by Antal Dorati. Szigeti sound like metaphysical style, ROS also, yeah, not be prepossessed by original score, by his and their improvise impulse.(91yrs.Japanese)sorry strange English.
If the violin of Mr. Hadelich in this performance is Guarneri, the highest notes might sound more silent than with Stradivari. But lower sounds are best: soulful, emotional, consoling... I think better setting of microphones would be needed, but I'm not an expert of these things. 🤔
