It turns out Logan is set in an alternate Earth. So The wolverine is currently the last solo movie of the Wolverine in this Earth timeline and X-men days of future past is currently the latest X-men movie in this Earth. So This Logan is still alive and well.

The return of the bone claws was just epic for me when he stabbed Yashida with them. That was a very powerful scene.

I really didn't like how they made Yashida the villain. We see him and Logan after the bombing and he's grateful that Logan saved him. To go from grateful to just downright crazy and to try to kill the MAN who saved you... This was the weakest part of the movie for me.
