To me, this song has always been about finding peace with the world and with yourself. Whatever the situation may be, whatever circumstances befall you, just accept reality for what it is. And be at peace with it.

There is maybe a handful of songs that wasn't made in the 80s that I like. I only heard this song recently, I really love this song, it just does it for me. This song gives me the same feelings that Joy division back in the 80s when I first heard them play. two years ago I survived stage 4 metastatic cancer when a doctor told me I had four weeks left to live, I tried to explain to people that I didn't need a $10,000 casket or a huge funeral, but nobody understood. I wish I would have been able to play this song for them maybe they would have understood.

I feel like this song is the perfect eulogy for the first 28 years of my life. Some of the most unbearable suffering of my life. Thankfully, things are much better now. I'm glad I hung on.

My cousins ashes were spread in the ocean here near Santa Monica pier. Mine will be spread just down from here at Mugu Rock. We all grew up in Calif. Him and his brothers in Santa Monica and me and my sister in Camarillo abt 10 miles from Mugu Rock in Ventura County. I have two friends with their ashes around Mugu Rock and mine and a friend of mine will be here too. To all that are flying over the Pacific Ocean right now, enjoy your ride in the waves and rest with each sunset. ✌🏻y’all.

I have never heard a more perfect song, I refuse to let such magic go unheard. Ironically, there is a tower in the beginning of the video, and that is what I do for work.
