I found this band in early 2007 when I was browsing some website listing new metal releases and I had no idea what genre or anything this band was.. I just liked the name. Anyway, I listened to 'Two Hunters' and was blown the fuck away. It was almost like a person's first psychedelic experience. It hit me with a cosmic force. I've never been disappointed by these guys, there stuff is basically medicinal for me, it heals and gives energy to my exhausted soul.
My first that I heard by Wolves was Two Hunters too. Someone on the Century Media website (I don't know if that site exists) told me about Two Hunters. I purchased the CD used, never really had a chance to get to learn the music for at least a few years (going through much shit at the time), but then discovered it again later... One of my favorite bands now, right up there with Mastodon and Be'lakor.
@@rahmatsumantri6577 WITTR is best experienced by album rather than by song. Their whole discography is really strong, but Two Hunters, Black Cascade, and their EP Malevolent Grain are their strongest experiences. If you really want to have an experience like OP described, listen to at night, in darkness, eyes closed. The sensory deprivation allows you to become fully immersed in the experience, which is when the music truly comes alive.
Solid black metal, amazing production. I appreciate the analogue feel and ambiance quite a bit. I was taken back to a Diadem of 12 Stars while feeling fresh, good stuff!
I've been a fan since Teen Cthulu and tbh this album really isn't doing anything for me. I feel very underwhelmed. I will have to give it a few more spins and hopefully find something worthwhile.
I was born, and grew up on the west coast (Cascades). WITTR is a band that I have always been able to take personal pride in. This album is fucking amazing!
Yes it is! After they releases their Song "spirit of lightning" and i just sit at home, watching a thunderstorm and hear it, i fall in love with this song. Now that i hear the album, i like it more and more!

....and to think that I thought they topped it in "Thrice Woven" (well, I thought the same when "Two Hunters" was released too 😂😂). I don't care if it's still August, I know it in my bones that this IS the best album in 2021 for me. Absolute MASTERPIECE and kudos to Aaron for the stunning production. Amazing feat!
I have to applaud WITTR on this one. They turned that rough edge more ambient and atmospheric and also song length. Way to go. You guys are an incredible band.

Thank you WITTR for this album. So many different sounds and atmospheres to explore in each minute. Sometimes it reminds me on Cradle of Filth for some reason, good old memories. Really a masterpiece. Greets from Germany.
They pulled out and mixed in one album everything that made them great in the previous ones. Maturity, an unique sound here. Have to listen to it more, but this seems to be their best (if not, their second best). Ordered!

The outro to this album (Eostre) is one of the most spiritual pieces of music the band has created! Imagine how great it would be hearing it as they exit the stage at the end of a show, burning incense!!

Just finished listening the entire album. In my personal opinion i give this album a 10/10, reminds me of the first moments i started loving this band with their "Two Hunters" album. Absolute aggression, meditation and peace in one album. WITTR deserves a big thank you for still delivering unique pieces such as these.
well 2 hunters is indeed a 10/10 masterpiece , cant say this is in the same league BUT it truly gets close and delivers a elegy of mystic BM genuine way ! 9/10 easily
I am only 21 minutes in, and this is just an absolute monster of an epic album so far. Wow, the meshing of chaos and beauty. I really appreciate where you are taking me so far, need to stop typing to get back to this masterpiece
One of the best albums I have listened to this year. A fucking master piece!! All the music you have created through these years is awesome, I love every album you have released.

I'm not a huge black metal fan. It's far from being my favorite genre in the metal scene. BUT, This album is amazing. I need to dive deeper in this band's discography.
I became a huge fan of Wolves in the Throne Room when I first heard their Album/CD 'Two Hunters'. But this new Album/CD 'Primordial Arcana' is even much cooler. Awesome! Highly Recommended.
