I am done with this club. 40+ year supporting this club i have been there through thick and thin. How do you chase a manager for 7 years then get him and won't back him. The whole summer has been wasted. Jeff Shi needs to go first ever since Laurie left he has been out of his depth.Then the audacity of raising ticket prices. If They appoint Gary Oneil this will be Bruno 2.0. We are going down this is another rinse and repeat of years before when we have had successive relegations. I will not support this club again with this. Disaster since they got rid of Nuno.
Disastrous, shambolic, incompetence… you choose the adjective. Can’t think of a club worse affected by Covid than Wolves, March 2020 was the peak and now 3 years later we are a mess, no remnants of the club we were back then remain. The club is in free-fall, sad for all involved but most importantly the fans who don’t have an option to walk away from Wolves as we are the club.
I don't know if there can be a good ending to this. If Lopetegui stays he'll be miserable and if he leaves that's a whole pre-season wasted and most likely a very difficult season ahead.
The more I hear this the more JLO has annoyed me with the timing of this mess Yes would love JLO to stay as he is such an elite manager Jeff Shi for me is just as bad he thinks he can run the club single handed do he hasn't a clue on how to manage a football club and he needs to go as well The thing is when we were down at the bottom the club signed Jlo who they have been looking to bring in for a long time they then back him to keep us up which he done successfully but so much money has been spent in January to do this and now they don't want to spend anymore I don't know what Jlo was promised this season but not to be allowed to spend anything doesn't make any sense though we had to sell because of ffp we sold alot of player's saved on wages but still we have nothing 🤔 I'm fed up with this now and what Jlo has done a week before the season starts is disgusting to say the lease Now a new coach has to come in at the deep end and put his mark on the squad no time to get to know them I'm so angry and the player's must be all over the place We have a great team at the moment like we saw in the friendlies though we need depth Nuno had a small squad and look what he achieved I wish we still had him hear he was the best we have had great times So now I don't care julen just go so we can just get in with our season goodbye

Can't blame JL for leaving if he does go but he should have done it as soon he he realized what a dreadful financial position Wolves were in then at least a new manager would have had a chance to get to know his players. I hope he stays but can't see it to be honest and I| hope Wolves have learned their lesson about total transparency because they have shat on everyone concerned as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you Liam and Gary I agree with JL leaving right at the start of the season it is a body blow which wolves could do without. My criticism is that this should have been sorted out at the latest a month ago that JL stays or goes the ball was in Wolves corner to act there and then. The Wolves management failed in their the duty and responsibility in not dealing with JL there and then. The ball has now blown up in the clubs faces and in view of the circumstances JL must leave now. We as supporters must remember Fosun spent £200 million last season on new players which were all duds from the start and again no one has been held accountable for the loss of the money. You could see this coming a mile off JL has decided put the boot in now knowing the damage he has caused to the players and the loyal supporters of the club. Fosun are taking the correct action in standing up to JL. We now must move quickly to get a replacement manger to stop the rot setting in. The good news is we have a team of players who want to play football and do their best for wolves it will not be easy but if we all get behind the players we can achieve great things.
If Lopetegui wanted to walk he should have done that much earlier and now we are in the cart good and proper. If we get O'Neil he will be a yes man and we are in for a very dark ride. We really need to keep our current manager. It's a bloody discraceful situation.

O’Neil cannot be the right choice, he did sterling work turning Bournemouth around but simply hasnt got the experience, it’s Bruno Lage all over again. Just a mess all around. Fosun have screwed this up so badly, going back to spending poorly on players who never wanted to be heresuch as Guedes, spending way too much on players who wouldn't even make a dent in the senior squad for literally years (Fabio, who I really like but wayyyy too much was spent on him for 2 years of basically nothing, one of which was on loan) then begging JL for months to take the job and spending a fortune on him and his staff, and spending our summer budget a window early in the winter (which they had to do to stay up, but their own bad decisions got them to that point in the first place). Fosun seemingly have had no plan since letting Nuno go and it shows. Frankly, I think they lucked into Nuno & Mendes at the right time and outside of that, have no clue. As for JL, if he couldn't compete with this squad, which is more than capable of staying up as-is, then he has no business being a manager here or anywhere in the Premier League. His constant moaning in public is snake behavior, which he's already shown towards Wolves the first go-round when he left us high and dry. He should have been off the table forever from that alone, but for some reason Fosun went crawling back, begging. Just a sad, pathetic situation. O'Neil does nothing for me, but unfortunately is probably all we can afford after how much JL and staff were paid. Wolves could have probably spent money this summer but we spent quite a lot in winter on new signings and securing the ones on loan. I can't blame fosun in the situation they are in why would they want to risk ffp. As Wolves fans know everyone loves to shaft us so no doubt we would be the first club to get a ridiculous punishment. As for Gary I don't really know it's a role of the dice but that's the same for any manager no matter what background. Every great manager started from nothing so it's not like he has been at a load of clubs and failed.
Absolutely shocking news so close to the start of the season. It sounded like we were ok for this season, manager wise. Hard to imagine how we move forward.
As a Bournemouth fan I'd say O Neil is a good manager but he won't be a lot of peoples cup of tea. He always struck me as one of those managers who sets his team up not to lose instead setting them up to win. We like attacking football at AFCB and that's why we've gone with Ireola. Another thing is he changed things all the time and the team seemed to have no identity. I think he'll keep you up, but I'm not sure his appointment shows a lot of ambition.

My primary concern about those descriptions of Gary O’Neil and how he’s seen within the game and among other coaches is that it sounds exactly like another Bruno Lage waiting to happen. Of course, I’d rather be happy than right, but it does have some unsettling parallels.
If Bruno had this squad we have now with actual strikers like Fabio and Sasa up top he would cook. Bruno’s downfall came down to not having options up top to play his system. Lope has been backed with some top signings in Jan. It’s not Wolves fault he decided to spend 50 million of his budget on Cunha who he doesn’t even know how to use correctly. The squad is more than good enough now to ensure survival and do quite well this season. 1 cheap CB signing for depth and we’d be solid. He should stop moaning and do his job this season, and if the transfer BS continues next summer, then he is more than justified to walk.
Gary O'Neill is a cheap yes man for me and if he's first choice I dread to think what 2nd and 3rd choice is! We had a yes man in Bruno lage and it didn't go well

Jimenez leaving I feel was the final straw. Coaches need players to coach. They need depth of squad and a mixture of youth and experience. Raul going was mentioned in his recent interview (yes, last year of contract etc, but £5 million is peanuts in Lopi land). Less than a week left before the season starts and no players incoming would not have been what was told to him at the end of last season. He's clearly a reactionary guy too.
Didnt realise that the games were now going to be played by 1 player ( the manager ). Lopetegui didn't keep us up ... The Players did !!! In fact he made lots of poor decisions, like subs & formations. He planned his own exit before he even arrived here and showed total disrespect to us all !!! The players we have are very good, the only thing we have to watch out for is the dodgy FA/Refs/Var who penalise us far more than any other team ... maybe that's why Fosun are adhering to the FFP shite. Get behind the Team no matter what ... Really hope our players show Lopashitshow what a mistake he's made. 🧡🖤
Never warmed to lopetegui... Laage was very poor. O'Neil is as inspiring as the mother in laws bloomers. Only nuno made an atmosphere of anything is possible..... Mixed with calm strategy and an understanding of the game. I agree that depth is an issue. However, with Sasha and Fabio. I don't think it's as bad as J-Lo made out. If Shi promised lots of signings and then obviously didn't.. then I can also understand his frustration. Not ideal at all after what I thought was a good pre season. I didnt like the constant snide remarks about the squad from J-lo. So.. we move on.
I've know full well for like 2 and half years now that Fosun have no idea how to run a club, they are a complete and utter embarrassment, and this is seriously the final straw for a lot of fans, and if we get O'Neil in as the new manager, i can see us getting relegated, its a complete and utter shambles.
Saturdays performance against Rennes under Julen was superb, so to be in this absolute mess, self inflicted by the club, tonight, for me , is a disaster....I genuinely fear for our position now come the end of the season.....can u really expect all these lads now to get behind a new manager, just before the season starts.... Didn’t the Spanish national team relieve him of his duties before a tournament because they claimed disloyalty when he announced he was after the tournament joining Real Madrid who I think sacked him after about 10 games he let wolves down initially when fosun acquired wolves weren’t his previous club happy to let him go I can’t understand why this man is so idolised he should have kept his fears to himself
Lopetegui was unhappy from a long way out. I always had him marked down as being here for no more than one full season. Even that was overly generous.He has quit and left other teams in the lurch before, and now he has done a damned good job of wrecking Wolves - days from the start of the season in the toughest league in the world. Anyone siding with him must realise he has previous form and if he continues in football he will add more quitting chapters to his CV, yet he will always have a cadre of appeasers supporting his ruinous ways. I dislike them as much as I do him!

He saved Wolves from the drop. He lost five high quality players (Neves, Collins, Moutinho, Jiminez and Costa) he had at his disposal last year. He hasn't been given a single penny to spend. Who can blame him for wanting out.
He only played one of them regularly. One threw his shirt at him in disgust. Two have more or less reached retirement. And he has spent money. On Lemina, Gomes, Dawson and Cunha. Look like good buys to be fair. He's a good manager and he did save us from the drop, but recently he's been throwing his toys out the pram. I'm sick of the tantrums.
