I'm a 72 year old man with broken marriages on my back trail, and I swear, Olivia, you sang my life right here. Maybe I'm the man at the well. Godspeed. (post script, 2023, 26 April - I don't remember when I posted this comment, but I remember the song and how it made me feel. I haven't looked at this in quite some time, and was stunned to see 49 replies, all affirming, edifying, comforting, and encouaging. There is so much really awful stuff on the net, and somehow, I sstumbled into a regular nest of wonderful human beings. No, you got that whole story twisted, if you think, that was, what happened: JESUS CHRIST gave her the hope and good news and also only God's Spirit can bring us to faith at all! And that is sound biblical doctrine! This song is shite, by the way! Wow this song couldn’t have came out at a better time. I recently gave my life to the Lord and I started reading the Bible. As I read it, I found the story about the woman at the well. My heart was torn by the overwhelming grace and love that our Heavenly Father has for broken women like myself. I had been struggling with shame from my past and I didn’t even know the Bible spoke on this kind of love. I was amazed! Right after that, I started watching The Chosen and saw the episode of the woman at the well. And now this song... I truly believe God placed this song across my path for even more confirmation of His gracious love and forgiveness. Thank you for sharing it and allowing God to use you to spread His gospel. I pray for anyone else struggling with shame and brokenness. You are loved and God has a plan and purpose for you! Embrace His gentle love and forgiveness. Seek after Him and you will find a love like no other. ❤️

Welcome to the family of God. I’m just like you. I’ve struggled in sin all my life. But I’ve always known that in my heart that Jesus fixed everything for me. Don’t let the pain of this life cause you to think that Jesus didn’t win the fight for our souls. I was just crying... separated from my husband, no real home, trying to be strong for so long, feeling judged by those who should care, just despair, I went to you tube, and just there was this song, a strong compulsion to listen to it, I don't even know the singer. Is this how God shows He loves us even when we feel like nobody does, I was really at the end, and there, He reminds me...I think you're all that and more, and I love you.

my mom passed away last sunday, the burial was yesterday, and church services were today, the pastor wore a flower in his hair in honor of my mom, and my mom had picked this song to be played at her funeral, the woman at the well, i went outside and the federal official flag poles are at half - mast, the world lost a wonderful woman ❣️ 🙏

thank you, and no it's not, she picked out the music and everything, besides woman at the well, the anchor, or which passages to even be read, besides a stage show, i get a merry christmas love you, happy new year love you, then your mom died, the funeral is next week, don't lose the address, besides PUNKED, and there is still NO headstone!!! and an awful awful obituary as well .... 75 years of blood sweat and tears on this planet, buried with a newspaper article, in the mud, my muddy shoes are still on the floor next to the dried casket flowers, i get two days notice AFTER she was in a meat freezer, the coroner couldn't find her body, and no headstone.... ☕

I love this song, the story behind it, and your heart for Jesus. I, too, was saved in 2018 after being an atheist for so many years. This song reminds me of the broken girl Jesus found laying on the ground, broken by sin and this world, and to look at how God has transformed my entire life in just a few years is absolutely amazing! Only God!! Praise Him! I thank God every day that He loved me first, and that He never gave up on me. Left the 99 for the 1.

June 2 2024, first time hearing was on on Spotify so I came here to RU-vid and look up the song. I know this song is about the woman at the well but we all have stood in his shoes been in and out of relationships set there and cry later to the cup of coffee what other things. I'm going to tell something I've never really told anybody before one time when I was standing in front of the mirror a feeling of loneliness came over me so intense that there are no words to describe it. But as time passed I got to understand how is intense loneliness. I've got to admit I'm not a perfect Christian there's only one perfect and he loves us all. I do like this song of Olivia’s and appreciate the artistic merit behind it. I’m not religious at all (never will be) and appreciate that Olivia has found this newfound path to walk. That being said, I really liked her older material from the very beginning of her “Heart Unlocked” era to “Devil and You” and “Wrong Girl”. She has completely taken those songs and videos off her media channels and RU-vid like they never existed. I understand she has found a new direction and that’s great, I’m happy for her, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of completely abandoning her older country-pop material and therefore leaving behind the fans who bought these downloads and CDs. It feels like a kick in the teeth. I hope she rethinks this decision and her past songs and videos will be available for the world to see at some point in the future. Nick

I’m so in love with this song right now. I haven’t loved myself for years and I know I don’t love ME, even after confessing it to family members and was told Yes you do… Went to a new dr last week and had an amazing talk about me life with drugs and alcohol and how I stopped when I became pregnant with our first child, so she went on to say “ so you loved your daughter enough to stop but you can’t even love yourself? Trying to get back to my childhood days in being clean and being closer to Jesus Christ 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️

Ms. Olivia beautiful song. What is so powerful about the WORD is it speaks to everyone’s soul if you come with an open ear an heart. We all feel a shamed a lonely at times, a the only friend who will never leave our side is Jesus. If you only ask. He helped me stay strong, pick me up when I was down a turn my life around. I don’t how I didn’t hear this song in the past, wow! This song is beautifully performed! Further, wow, this song of the woman at the well is also my testimony of meeting Jesus. He met me at the well of my almost successful suicide- a well of an unfaithful spouse, condemning family and nearly being homeless-I had a supernatural encounter with Jesus who interrupted my narrative with a love only of the Savior. Truly because of His warm presence, words cannot even describe it, I am alive and living a beautiful and redeemed life. That was nearly 10 years ago! To anyone who questions whether they should be alive, know this truth: you are deeply loved, known and seen for who you are! Jesus doesn’t shame you, He truly loves you! He has a beautiful plan for your life!
