That's right. I have a PhD in Geophysics and taught at a major university for 30 years. I have met many people much more intelligent than me, including some of my students, who have little formal education.

The scary thing is that it's people like her who end up in government and tech companies which have huge sway over our lives

In all my years of working, it’s absolutely frustrating having to deal with people like this. They are CONSTANTLY talking and never stfu, they truly believe they are the smartest people to ever exist 😂

It's the fact that she was judging him off of EQ and he definitely had higher emotional intelligence than her.

That last quote is one of the best things I’ve ever heard. I know and met plenty of people with degrees and spent years in college getting an expensive education but have no common sense at all and are stupid as hell out in the real world.

I run into this all the time. I have no college degree and a great many people I'vemet that do see me as an idiot. I've never formally enrolled at any college but, have credits toward one of the top tech colleges in the world and finished high school with two vocational degrees and two government licenses. I had a SAT score over 2250 in 1999 without prep and an ASVAB score of 99 in 2001. I'm in my early 40s, used to do and train people in SAR, got most of the way through training as an EMT on top of SAR first response before moving on, have over a decade of experience working on aircraft, even helping with military R&D a little while I was enlisted and over two decades of experience in independent graphic design, even doing work for companies like Burton snowboards. I currently work with robots, advanced materials and interesting chemicals. I also occasionally get contacted through certain channels for history info that isn't in some books. Talking to me, a lot of people assume I'm not that bright because my attention is all over the place, where they tend to fixate on a few things to the point that they miss key details and make many assumptions. Funniest part to me saying all this? I regularly think I'm not as smart as what people think IQ scores indicate because I've met true geniuses.😂 Want another fun item that makes some see me as less intelligent? I look forward to potentially becoming a long haul haz truck driver in the next few years, using the hazmat certs I currently have because of how much they get paid, I want a big rig of my own and I love to travel.😊

He does CBRN in the marines and that is actually a hard job dealing with chemical and bio agents. She makes 19 test kits. I'm rolling with him. And she is that quote personified.

The funny thing about this is that when they asked what is IQ he explained it simply and perfectly that its a problem solving ability. She fought him against his definition of IQ by adding all these things that didn't matter. She hated him from the very beginning because he was in the military. That was the very moment she thought he had a low IQ which is why its the first thing she mentioned when she said its not about his background. I loved it when she found out that she was the lowest of the group.
